Please forward the above video with the flyers on emails and blogs,

Please also distribute the flyers if you can get hold of them if not make photocopies of these or make your own and stick them up in your local areas on high streets and so on what we need is maximum exposure not just 3 posters in our local Gurdwara we have to target the segment of the Sikh Community who do not regularaly go to the Gurdwara, the only way we can do that is by sticking these posters up in town centres and community centres and other places like Gyms and so on

Fateh, Will it be possible for the SIKH CHANNEL to be able to air this promotion video so more sangat get to know about the rally.........

I understand the following has been sent or is to be to the Sikh Channel:

www.thesikhspodcast.com/1984/7th June Rally TV Spot.mov

It is short, simple and to the point . . .

The following is being broadcasted for a few days now throughout Europe via the Sikh Channel (Sky 840):

Singhs are encouraging the wearing of black due to its historic relevance.

The Sikhs when fighting and protesting against the British would wear black dastars. It is said that the british even banned the wearing of black dastar's as it was the sign of protest. The jathe that went on peaceful marches etc also wore black dastars.

The singhs in 1984 and the singhs in kashmir after the shootings there in 2000 also waved black flags as a sign of 'ros' its like protesting and saying your a besharam for your actions.

Our parents often wore black in the 80's on the marches as well, black turbans and chunni's etc.

Singhs are making a few hundred black flags as well, and a leaflet explaning the concept is also being done. so should have a really good impact.

Black is also widely seen as the colour of death and the western world see's it as the colour worn at funeral's etc.

So impact wise it should be good!

Please spread the word!
