No, Sikhs are not Hindus (whatever the hell a Hindu is): we do not wear threads; we do not worship stones; we do not believe in castes nor is the Brahmin regarded as being superior to any other person; while the devtas exist and may be respected by puratan sampardayas like the Udasis and the Nirmalay, Sikhs do not worship them as they are considered to be subject to maya.

Dasam Granth is pretty clear, as veer Matheen ji has shown, that all of these devtay were overcome with haumai and began to consider themselves Akal Purakh when they were sent as messengers to spread Dharma (righteousness) and ecxhort worship of Waheguru.

nobody is ever born with out hair on their head or hair on their face. god created sikhs first. then if cut that hair, and keep a bodhi, ur known as a hindu, if u keep ur beard and only trim moustouch, ur known as a muslim. but if u stay the way maharaj created u, people will call u a sardar. nobody is ever born hindu, or born muslim.

Sikhi is based on anything/anyone religious. If youre religious and have any of the five vices then you cant truly be religious, simple as that.

Sikhi refers to hindus, muslims, christians, jews, buddists, Jains etc etc to help them out in their own religions also.

As a Sikh we worship Ik Oankar and anyone that believes in Allah/Ram/Yahwey/Vaheguru is speaking of the same "one God" no matter what name you call Vaheguru.

Its appaling to hear a Christian say Sikhs go and worship "your God" or Muslims trying to monopolize and saying Allah is "their God" (like God is "theirs" and not everyones)

We are the manifestation of God.

God is us and God is God

Hinduism allows you to make your own way, whether being a yogi or a follower of a certain diety etc..... SO if you are a Sikh and try to attempt to make your own version of Sikhi is like being a hindu, matha teking to pictures is hinduish, performing arti with candles etc is straight up hindu, matha teking to Guru Sahib and not following the teachings is hinduish, having a weird way of matha tek and then walk three steps backwards and blindly doing this shows the person does matha tek as a "clever" way to not follow Sikhi and thinking merely matha tek is good enough devotional worship. Devoting your life to Gurmat Sikhi is devotional worship, Doing Kirtan is devotional worship, but matha teking/getting prashad/then eating langar and going home is not devotional worship and ends up being a pointless ritual if you do not gradually develop Sikh tenents in your mind as well as your life. SO when people do this and never develop a Sikh way of waking at Amritvela Naam Jap/minimum Sat Bania/Sunmukhi to Gurmukh then Im not suprized when other religions or other cultures say those people act like hindus.

These efforts of assimilating sikhi in hinduism for obvious reasons is nothing new. Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha who also wrote "Mahan Kosh" of SGGS wrote clearly point by point in his book "Hum Hindu Nahin". Read it and clear all your doubts rather than loosing hair on it.

One white american woman doing her phd in oxford university, UK was so touched that she left all her buddhism nd new age stuff and is on the road to Sikhism, even visits this site to download keeretan n simran tracks .
