Singhs and singhanis

This gurudwara will play every trick up their sleeve like calling police and cordon off Gurudwara sahib.

This is what they did at delhi but singhs of Delhi did not let it happen there and this dusht gurnindak had to make a retreat.

So you should go in large numbers well in advance of time.

Get seated and when he comes then make your presence felt. Lodge a police report saying this man is excommunicated and is not citizen of uK. He should not be allowed to disturb peace.

How Darshan lal came out of India when his master sarna is holding a fake world sikh convention there.

He should have been there now.

DELHI SIKH SANGAT CONFRONTS RAGI, STOPS MISUSE OF GURDWARA PLATFORM

PANTHIC.ORG | Published on March 3, 2010

MUKHERJI NAGAR, DELHI (KP) - Facing strong opposition from the local Delhi Sangat, ex-communicated heretic Ragi Darshan made a humiliating retreat from a program scheduled by his cronies on March 1st, 2010 at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, Mukherji Nagar.

Despite the backing of hundreds of bussed-in supporters and armed Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) task-force hoodlums provided by Paramjit Sarna, the local Sangat successfully blocked the pro Kala-Afghani function oragnized by the heretic Ragi's supporters.

Sarna promoting Ragi to undermine Sri Akal Takht

The self-styled "professor" Ragi Darshan, who was ex-communicated from the Khalsa Panth on January 29th, 2010, is barred from using all Panthic stages and platforms. Despite this restriction, anti-Panthic masands of DSGMC and its head Paramjit Sarna are surreptitiously attempting to promote the ex-Sikh Ragi and undermine Sri Akal Takht Sahib's edicts and authority.

Fearing wrath of the Sangat, Ragi supporters have often taken the him unannounced to various venues and have thus avoided confrontation, but for some peculiar reason they had advertised the attendance of Ragi Darshan for March 1st function. This obviously raised concerns among Panthic circles, prompting the Sangat to alert the Jathedars of the Five Takhts about the possible transgression against Sri Akal Takht Sahib's HukamNamas by Ragi's cronies.

In connection to the March 1st program, the Sikh sewadars also petitioned North Delhi Deputy Commissioner, and the Delhi Police Commissioners of the possibility of a violent clash between the Sikh Sangat and supporters of the ex-communicated heretic.

(View complaint to Deputy Commissioner)

(View complaint to Delhi Police)

Behind the scenes, the key indviduals promoting the heretic on the March 1st program were the Sarna brothers, both DSGMC executives, and Prof. Harmohinder Singh, the local Gurdwara president and member of DSGMC.

Congress and Police Involvement - Youth Detained

Leveraging pressure from local Congress Party politicians, Prof. Harmohinder was able to have the Delhi Police assign a large number of police officers around the Gurdwara complex, and even coaxed them to detain several Sikh youths, including Bhai Harminder Singh, Bhai Kulbir Singh, Bhai Harbinder Singh, and Bhai Harjit Singh. These were were the saem Sikh youths who had sent petitions to the Delhi SC and Police commissioner. They had also filed a seperate petition against Ragi Darshan, citing Indian Penal Code 295A (prohibits deliberate and malicious outrage or insult of the religious feelings of any class).

Even though some of the youths had been detained under political pressure, other local Sikh youths across Delhi along with Shiromani Akali Dal members and other local Sikh Sangat had already reached the Gurdwara where Ragi was to perform. The Police had already established a security perimeter there, and were doing security searches of anyone entering the Gurdwara premises.

Singhs Targeted at Venue

Delhi Police had already been instructed by Saran and company to question and harass anyone wearing Nihang Singh type dumallas or a large Sri Sahibs (kirpans), and many of the Singhs wearing dumallas or large Sri Sahibs were ill-treated and were told to sit outside near the street and not allowed to enter the Gurdwara premises.

The arrogant Ragi sitting on a chair in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

Although the function was to begin at 6:30pm, the heretic Ragi and his entourage of four busses comprising of about 150 armed DSGMC hoodlums did not arrive until 8:30pm. In a shocking display of arrogance and disregard for Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Ragi sat on a chair setup especially for him between the Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Takht and the Kirtani stage.

Sangat Confronts Ragi and promoters

When the organizers were about to announce that the Ragi was to perform on stage, all concerned Sangat members including men, women, and the youth, loudly protested the heretic's presense and raised slogans of (Deg Teg Fateh, Akal Takht Mahan Hai), and began to loudly recite "Satnam Waheguru" and Gurbani.

At this time several of the protesting youths were assaulted by the thugs hired by the Sarna brothers. Despite the intimidation and assaults by the DSGMC hoodlums, the protesting Sangat remained calm and stead forth in their resolve to not allow the Gurdwara management to misuse the premises and violate Sri Akal Takht HukamNamas.

Humiliated, Ragi and Cronies Retreat

Stunned by opposition's resolve, and hoping the situation would not spiral out of control, the management embarrassedly announced that the Ragi would not be allowed on stage. The Kirtan diwan was then concluded by the resident Ragis who recited Anand Sahib and ended the program followed by loud victorious Jaikarays from the Sangat. The humiliated Ragi and his cronies quickly retreated from the scene, and left the premises.

The Sikh youths who had been detained earlier by the Police under political pressure, were released unconditionally around 10:30pm.

Like their predecessors, the Meenays, Masands, Dhir Malliay, Ram Raiyay, pseudo-Nirankaris, Radhan Swamis, Aushutoshis, Sacha Saudees, Kala-Afghanis, Spokesmanees, self-styled Missionaries, these "Darshan Mallees" are now another new cult-like disease that is trying to infect the Panth. The Sangat needs to stay vigilant and keep this menace in check.

http://www.proudkhalsanetwork.com/312/

on March 1st of 2010 DSGPC under supervision of Paramjit Singh Sarna made an arrangement for the kirtan program by Prof. Darshan which was being opposed by Delhi Sikh sangat and local gurudwara committee. The posters against this act were published and pasted at various places in Delhi, but the management committee did not pay any heed towards it. To accomplish their pathetic objective, DSGPC tried to organize the kirtan samagam on 1st of March 2010 with the help of their task force, police and workers of Youth Akali Dal Delhi. By the time the team of Proud Khalsa reached there it was seen that the hoodlums of task force and Akali Dal Delhi were positioned at the main gate of gurudwara sahib in order to prevent the regular sangat from going in or one may say only people of their choice may join in. It is to be pointed out that they were specially instructed to not to let enter any singh or singhni wearing gol dastaars as worn by singhs of Akhand Kirtani Jatha and those of Taksal, as these Jathebandis were strictly against this highly objectionable programme. However in few minutes, the sangat in huge numbers forced its way in. Inside the gurudwara hall just few people were seated amongst whom there were some ladies who were also against Sri Dasam Granth. When sangat entered the gurudwara Rajinder Singh (Khalsa Panchayat) was talking non sense against Sri Dasam Granth and Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Sangat opposed it with the support of Manjit Singh GK and Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

When Proud Khalsa started its video recording, we were asked to stop it and cameras were tempered with, but we gave them stern answers and continued boldly with the recordings. Once the DGSPC management team felt helpless, they sent some women in front, so that in the entire scuffle, they can file law suits against the singhs for misbehavior etc. Sometime back too the same kind of scuffle took place at Faridabad in the samagam by Manpreet Singh Ji Kanpuri, where these women were sent in front, and one of these women spitted at the keski of another lady from Akhand Kirtani Jatha. But like each time, on this occasion the organisers failed in accomplishing there wretched intentions. To pacify the opposition from sangat, they again started with the kirtan by other raagi singhs which was listened peacefully by the sangat. Enraged with their rout, the managers got agitated and abused few Sikhs inside the gurudwara premises, which once more made the whole sangat furious. During the whole incident the Raagi Darshan was sitting on a chair but never appeared a little concerned or seemed bothered. Through this concocted drama, DSGMC wanted to make a show that Delhi Sikh Sangat is going against the hukumnama issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib by supporting Raagi Darshan . It also be mentioned here that Raagi tried to be a part of such programme in Delhi earlier as well (Japani park, Greater kailash etc), but was always opposed by Delhi sangat.

Dear Sadhsangatji;

It has come to my attention "Professor" Darshan "Singh" who has been excommunicated from the Panth by Akal Takht, has been invited by Miri-Piri Gurdwara to hold a diwan.

According to the Hukamnamma from Akal Takht Sahib, all Sikhs are to not associate in any way with "Professor" Darshan "Singh".

Dass would like to request to the Sadhsangat to protest and object against the decision of the Gurdwara. If this goes ahead, it is a slap on the face of the Sikh nation. How can anyone undermine the sovereignty of the Akal Takht, which was created by our beloved 6th Guru? It hurts me inside that we have gone so low and have no regard for authority no more, I felt like crying and I think we should talk to the police and see if we can peacefully stop this disgrace from happening. What are all the jathabandiya doing. We need to unite to stop this disrespect of Sikh principles.

Please sadsangat ji, do what is in your power to help stop this beadbi from happening, may Guru ji bless everyone in this morcha and help us obey Akal Takhts hukamnama.

Time of Programme - 7 to 8pm 19th march 2010

253-255 the Broadway

Southall, Middlesex UB1 1NF

This is the main issue here and all this bickering is doing no good. Singhs need to get together and make sure Darshan Laal does not step on stage.

All this talk that has been going on for months now is going to be tested. Are the Uk Singhs going to stand for Truth or let a heretic run his mouth in UK Gurdwaras. Especially the Southall Singhs got to get on top of this and make sure Truth prevails here.

Are we Giddar or Loins, you guys decide March 19th.

    • WJKK WJKF! How long will this forum remain online for in a readable & accessible state? It appears susceptible to shut-down. It would be a shame if all the forum's content from over the decades is lost in such an event due to servers hosting this forum shutting-down. This forum, whilst not currently active, remains an important repository of the Sikh religion online. It also is a fundamental aspect of Sikh cyber culture that existed from the early Internet period from the 2000's to 2010's before the domination by big social-media sites that consolidated the community. Thus, have the web-masters of this forum considered archiving this forum's contents before it is lost forever? I can assist you in this by saving the content to the Internet Archive on your behalf. Please let me know your thoughts about such an endeavour and I hope you may consider the possibility of archiving the forum for posterity. Future generations of Sikhs and Sikh researchers will be grateful. Kind regards, Theth Panjabi (you can find me on IG at theth.panjabi and on X/Twitter at ThethPanjabi)
    • Video on the tale, gurdwara, and manuscript: link As the story goes, during the Vadda Ghallughara genocide against the Sikhs perpetrated by the Afghan Durrani Empire on 5–6 February 1762, not only were Sikh lives lost, but our original Damdami Sahib Bir recension was also lost in that carnage. However, over the years I have spent researching our history, many claimed it was taken back to Afghanistan by Ahmad Shah Abdali's troops as loot whilst others said it was secretly hidden somewhere by the Singhs for safe-keeping. As of today, it remains untraceable and I presume it is gone for good. However, I came across a couple of articles stating that there were actually around five master-copies of the original Damdami Bir, with one of these copies being safeguarded by the jatha of Bhai Sudha Singh of the Shaheedan Misl. "It is said that the tenth Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh had got five birs written at Damdama Sahib. The bani (writings) of the ninth Sikh master Guru Tegh Bahadur were incorporated in these birs. These five birs were given to different jathas (groups) of Sikhs by Guru Gobind Singh to be safely installed. One bir was being taken by Sudha Singh who was leading a jatha of 19 Sikhs, when Abdali'[s] forces stormed Kup-Rohira and killed thousands of Sikhs. Though all 19 Sikhs were massacred by Abdali, Sudha Singh somehow brought the bir to Kuthala. Since then it has been kept at village gurdwara." (Times of India, 2012) The gurdwara today [Gurdwara Shaheed Baba Sudha Singh Ji in Kuthala] has a certain historical manuscript that they claim is one of the five master-copies of the Damdama recension. You can see close-up shots of the bir in the video posted. I will also share close-up images of its folios in the comment section. I will also provide a faithful English translation of the video's narration so non-Punjabi speakers may benefit from this post. I will leave the question on whether this bir is authentic or not to your judgement but I will provide my own analysis below.   English translation of the video's narration: The Guru-form Guru Khalsa Holy Congregation (Sadh Sangat) Ji, Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. The Gurdwara Sahib that the congregation is currently beholding is situated in Village Kuthala, near Malerkotla, in the Sangrur district of Punjab. A very great treasure is preserved within this Gurdwara Sahib. The history of this Gurdwara Sahib is very closely related to the Vada Ghalughara (The Great Holocaust) that took place in February 1762. Baba Sudha Singh Ji, the third head of the Shaheedi Misl, arrived at this location considering it a safe place. He brought with him that sacred holy scripture (Saroop) which the Tenth Father, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, had personally dictated to Bhai Mani Singh Ji on the holy land of Damdama Sahib. Upon arriving, he personally performed the last rites (cremation) of 19 martyred Sikhs at this site. As he prepared to leave to take command of the Jatha (the Sikh contingent), the sacred holy scripture he had brought was enshrined at this very location. At that time, this place was known as Dera Jaga Sidh, but nowadays, a very beautiful building stands here in the name of Gurdwara Sahib Shaheedi. The sacred holy scriptures that were enshrined at that time are today ceremoniously displayed (Prakashwan) with great respect every Channi Dashmi (the tenth day of the bright lunar fortnight) for the congregation to behold. Devotees from within the country and abroad arrive to catch a glimpse of these sacred scriptures and receive the Guru's blessings. Every year, an annual Gurmat Samagam (religious congregation) is held for five consecutive days in memory of the martyrs of the Great Holocaust, concluding on Magh Sudi Dashmi. Furthermore, a book containing the full detailed history—titled after Shaheed Baba Sudha Singh Ji and the Hand-written Holy Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji—was released in February 2013 by the managing volunteers based on historical research. It was released by the 14th head of the Shaheedi Misl, Singh Sahib Baba Makhan Singh Ji (the current head of Baba Bakala Sahib), the Meet Jathedar Singh Ji, and Sant Gurdev Singh Ji of Anandpur Sahib (the current head). The congregation can obtain spiritual benefit by reading it. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.   My analysis: In my humble opinion (which may be incorrect), this bir is not a master-copy of the Damdami Bir. It more closely resembles the highly-decorated birs of the Kashmiri-style that were created during the reign of the Sikh Empire in the first half of the 19th century. We can see this bir has highly illuminated and illustrated angs (folios), which took the great skill of a master artisan to make, which required resources to pay and patronize. Usually, the manuscripts during the Sikh Empire were the most elaborately decorated, as this was when the Sikhs were at a high-point, masters of the land, possessing vast amounts of resources that they could use to fund such endeavors. Therefore, whilst the story may be true and a master-copy of the Damdami Bir recension may have once been at this location, I am not convinced that this particular manuscript is it. I may be mistaken and I am open to constructive criticism. 1633648456_GurdwaraHistory.mp4
    • Sri Kesgarh Sahib (and Akaal Takht) has always allowed eating meat for those who take Amrit there, as long as it's not ritually killed like halaal.  They've followed the official Sikh Rehat Maryada since it was made in the 30s, before that they were Nihang Maryada who also allow meat. So no Panj Pyaare have ever mandated being veg at Anandpur Sahib. You can read the full Sikh Rehat Maryada in English, it includes the Panj Pyaare are meant to say on the day (page 57 I believe). My cousin took Amrit at Anandpur Sahib and my other one in Darbar Sahib 8 years later. I recently showed them both this page and they said that's exactly what the Panj said to them word for word at their Sanchaars
    • Anandpur Sahib does and always has followed the Sikh Rehat Maryada, same as Darbar Sahib in Amritsar. They allow you to eat any eggs, fish or meat as long it is not Halal meat/killed Ritualistically. They say Kes is the Kakkar, not Keski. I believe only AKJ says that and nobody else. You can read the full Sikh Rehat Maryada, page 56-7 I believe is what the Panj Pyaare are meant to say on the day. My cousin took Amrit at Anandpur Sahib and the other in Darbar Sahib 8 years later. I showed them both this page and they said that is exactly what the Panj said to them word for word at their Sanchaar
    • All Sikhs must recite Rehras Sahib daily but Chaupai Sahib and the short Anand Sahib were only added to it by SGPC and other jathebandis in the 1900s. In Guru Granth Sahib Ji's saroop, "Sodar Rehras" appears from "So dar tera keha" to "Saran pare ki rakho sarma", which is basically the first half of "Rehras" in all standard Gutka Sahibaan. So why do we recite these? Obviously doing more Baani can never be bad, but most Amritdharis recite Benti Chaupai and Anand Sahib in their morning Nitnem so why should we recite these two Baania again instead of a new one? That time could be used to read Shastar Naam Mala, Shabad Hazaare etc. And why do these two Baanis get more importance than the others? Surely if we recite Chaupai Sahib and (part of) Anand Sahib twice in a day then we should also recite Japji Sahib, Jaap Sahib and Tav Prasad Savaiya twice as well? Note: Pls correct me if I'm wrong about SGPC. My theory is that they added these into Rehras Sahib cos they removed them from the morning Baania but still had to include them in the daily Nitnem somehow, but this doesn't explain why older Samparde like Budha Dal also have this version of Rehras Sahib in their Gutkeh - someone enlighten Daas pls Bhul Chuk Maaf
