Read any book written by Shambala press. The way they teach and explain buddhist teachings is practically a work of art. Much of the subject matter is universal for all dharms, so we can learn a lot from there as well. I would love to see more Sikhs able to explain our dharm with such erudition as they have used.

Bandgi Nama - journal of a spiritual seeker. very very inspiring and useful

Discourses on the Beyond - English language books from Sant Waryam Singh ji Ratwara Sahib. Explains the spiritual path in great depth, probably deeper than any other English language book on Sikhi.

Atam Marg magazine - a lot of deep spiritual stuff

Books from Gurmatkhoj.com written by Sant Scholar Naranjan Singh ji. Amazing depth of knowledge. Sant ji was the one who taught Bhai Jasbir Singh ji Khanne wale kirtan.

all three are based on the Jewish experience during ww2. very powerful films.

another film that i would recommend is one of my favourite all time films of all time - Thelma and Louise.

if you are looking for something closer to home, try watching Mother India, it is a truly amazing film about a dedicated mother, and I would always recommend this film to youngsters who are born in the west, so they can see the poverty that our forefathers escaped from to give us future generations a better life in the west. It should be a must watch for every panjabi/indian.

I do not see any reason for editing DELETING the name of book STATING IT TO

be banned word, while many participants are using punjabi synonyms very

freely to slander others on the forum , Deleting the name of recommended book

defeats the very purpose of the thread
