Mughal Emperors applied Tilak when they ascended the throne, they were enemies of Hindus. Also Guru Har Gobind is said to have undergone 'mundan' ceremony as a young boy where the entire head is shaved off, the original ancient source seems to have been lost or destroyed by miscreants. Also immediate followers of Guru Gobind Singh are said to have worn 'Janeu' after 1699. Dont attack something that doesnt seem to be within your line of thinking.

There are so many articles on that site and people like 'Gadget', 'Southhall Youth' are only picking out one line from Sarbloh Granth to discredit it.

There are articles about the history and the summary of Sarbloh Granth, along with various other translations including the first stanza, and important passages about Khalsa marayda, ideology etc, most of which has never been translated into English before.

Khalsa ustat is from sarabloh Granth. Sikhs have been singing this as kirtan since that time.

such people do not read scriptures and pass undesirable remarks. They have no respect

for other scriptures also.

They should not be allowed to post such comments.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji said the Gatra or the Dori Kirpan is the Khalsa Janaoo. Considering the harshe words Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji used for the external Janaoo i bet this doesn't sit right with sikhs today thus we get the Kala Afgana/ Darshan Singh movement

Hahahahahahahah -

Did you know that Aurangzeb had neon orange horns on his head. He also had black wings which he kept hidden underneath his robes. And at night, he would discard his robes, unfurl his wings, and go for a fly around his kingdom.

There are certain things that are soooo bizarre and illogical that even a 2 yr old would have trouble believing them. This should be obvious from the first part of my post...and from your post.

Whoever says anything against our Gurus (especially things that defy Gurmat), is not a Sikh. And they are not worth associating with.

May be apneapart2 should give reference where it is written khalsa wears a janeou.

I know many nastiks like chelas of kala afghana/Darshan ragi are against Khalsa rehat. Kala afghana terms gatra of a khalsa equivalent to hindu's janeou.

    • Anyone linking the "kenyan" style turban to Ramgarhia caste is stupid lol. It came from the Jat-only Sikh Regiment in British India (folded, starched single dastar without a pinch). It's called "kenyan style" as Kenya is where it's most popular today and has a lot of Tarkhan living there but it's originally from Jatts in India. Dastar actually opposes caste as a concept anyway so it really doesn't matter.
    • you can use nrimb.com this matrimonial site is very helpful to find Sikhs and other matches for marriage in Canada.
    • Is there a need to insult someone's Dastar style? Feel some shame When you see a Sikh wearing a Dastar you should smile and think "that's my brother" ,not laugh at how he chose to tie his Pagh. Maharaj made a brotherhood in the Khalsa not a fashion contest.
    • Respectfully, this isn't a good idea bro. This is a Sikh forum so it's best not to be distracted with other topics. Most people who visit this site don't have accounts and have questions about Sikhi so we do seva here by educating the Jaante as well. Maybe create a subreddit on Reddit for "casual Sikhs" over there. It would be better as you could link that with r/sikh. And also there are like 4 people still on this site so you won't get much response. It's really inactive here most people use reddit now
    • Sikhs can sleep nanga-sirr if they choose to . Being from Punjab, almost every Sardaarji i know (amritdhari or not) sleeps/showers with their hair uncovered. I don't think Guru Sahib asked us to wear Dastar to sleep and I don't think it is in SRM. The idea of "keski being worn to sleep" is cos in Bollywood films (Bachna Ae Haseeno) Sikh characters usually tie a gol parna when sleeping since the actor's usually Hindu. So they gotta cover his head somehow or he'd have cut hair. Same reason Diljit wore a pagg to bed in the El Sueno vid. Only time they didn't do that was in Gadar with Sunny Deol which just looked odd tbh
