Global Media'S Eye On India

If we cast our minds back several months, we may remember how the Indian media were attempting to create global hysteria about the revival of "Sikh Militancy" and the so-called threat Sikhs posed to the coming Commonwealth games in Delhi.

Pardon me for appearing smug, but now as the Global media reports each Indian built roof and bridge collapse in Delhi and the poor standard of the whole complex, I can't but help but emphasise that this is Maharaj's khed.

One year of India's mass media demonisation of Sikhs and it's now turned around with a mass media focus on India. To be honest, those of us that know India, know it still lacks in any real progressive infrastructure, no real value for human life and is still riddled with corruption.

Let's pray that those unfortunate labourers injured in these structural collapses are now looked after by the authorties.

I must say it did make me smile, it is a wonder that any of the buildings are standing.

We all know how these things work. Even before the money is released for these types of projects those at the top will get their cut, then as the money filters down each minor official will dip his paws into the funds and grab as much as he can, alas the poor workers will get paid a pittance.

there are no controls/checks there is no push for excellence people are tto laid back, as long as they get the back handers and push the responsibility to someone else.

The suppliers will try to get away with what they can, cut corners, bolster material by adding others things in it. the concrete or cement will never by 100% it will always have stuff mixed in it so that the supplier gets more money for less.

Personally I hope the games are a complete disaster

Not surprised at all , Since Independance what has India achieved:

1. corruption.

2.child labour the highest in the world

3. In the top5 for the world's most dangerous roads.

4.Black economy that has no end

5.Rich and poor gap wider than ever before.

Then what sickens me is that they pose as deprived developing country in need of western Aid every year, hopefully this recession/depression will end that sooner rather than later.
