Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

We view this as a threat and forget all is the hukam of Akaal. Today we have found our self’s all united in the name of Freedom, and the protection of the Khalsa Panth and to prevent the slander of the true Akaal .As our rich heritage show Sikhs have never backed away from a challenge if it was Arungzeb as the Zalam or the Nirankari and there mother Gandhi the Sikh lions of Guru Gobind Singh have confronted them roaring like the lions as the shaheeds have come to the aids of the Singhs. Today is the beginning of a new era, the New generation of the Khalsa has arrived let us grab this opportunity with two hands, We may be feeling under threat but as every problem passes we become stronger, this event has helped the youth who had forgotten remember. My brother and sisters may you be sikh or not let us use this opportunity to remind our brothers and sisters who have staryed from the path what sikhi is all about. Let us grab this opportunity which rose before 20 years ago to this year and let the ques to take Khande bath di paul begin. Let us all reunite under the naam of waheguroo the only truth in our lives.

Even today in the hukamnama Dhan Guru Angad Devji stresses the need of mediation,

How can anyone be deceived, who has Your Support, O Lord? || Pause || Without meditating in remembrance on the Lord, life is like a burning fire, even if one lives long, like a snake.

If I have spoken out of term in this or any other post please forgive me as I am ur little brother who is still learning from you the sadh Sangat

May the shaheedes once again come down from Akaal for the protection

of our brothers and sisters against this evil which has fallen upon us. let us do naam Simran as guruji has told us todayand by the hukam of Akaal maybe the gupat fauj will be present on sunday!

Todays hukamnama From Sri Darbar Sahib

Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Dear Rsingh

Thank you for your e-mail. I have been asked to respond.

Al Muhajiroun do not have permission to hold a rally on Trafalgar Square and they have not

applied for permission. A letter has been sent to the UK leader of Al Muhajiroun, Anjem

Choudary, asking him to confirm that he is not intending to hold a demonstration on the square,

but no response has so far been received.

Following a rally on the Square held without permission two years ago, Mr Choudary was

successfully prosecuted by the Authority under the Trafalgar Square byelaws, and the mayor will

take a similar approach if the byelaws are again breached.'

Thank you for taking the time to write to the Greater London Authority.

Yours sincerely

I EAMAILED THE MAYOR, SAYING IF THIS GOES AHEAD, LONDON WILL FALL. WHY?

A. LONDON HAS PROSEPERED BECAUSE OF THE DFFERENT COMMUNITIES WHICH HAVE UNITED. NOT ONLY MAING LONDON SUCCEFUL, BUT ALSO THE WHOLE OF THE UK.

B. ALL RELIGIONS WOULD CLASH, THIS IS A RALLY AGAINST OTHER RELIGIONS.

C. THE WHOLE UK WILL BE EFFECTED.

Two emails i have recieved within the past couple of hours.

___________________________________________________________________

British Sikh Consultative Forum (BSCF) & community information.

(Apologies for using block e-mail addresses as received. Perhaps we should

get better organised re dissemination of Sikh community information at short

notice.)

We are left in a most uncertain position regarding the threat of the

unauthorised Trafalgar Square rally by an irresponsible fanatic group

calling itself Al-Mujahiroun. The trick for Sikh organisations now (as per

Panjabi saying) is to “-- the snake and save the stick”.

AND NOT GET CAUGHT BETWEEN TWO EVILS – AL MUJAHIRIN AND BNP.

Trust the following main points collated from responsible Sikh and Hindu

Press Releases would be of some help.

Please note that BSCF is NOT an organisation but a meeting facility for

diverse Sikh organisations on Sikh/Government interface issues. In my

catalytic/co-ordinating role as Secretary, I have no mandate to give advice

on behalf of or represent any participant organisation. All organisations

interface directly with the Government and agencies. However, I do collate

and pass on information relevant to Sikh concerns adding any comments based

on BSCF meetings record and personal experience.)

Press releases (PRs) by the Sikh Federation UK and Hindu Forum Britain

The bullet points to note for own guidance are:

AL-MUHAJIROUN SHOULD BE PROSECUTED AND BANNED - SIKH PR - strong Sikh

sentiment!

There has been considerable publicity and concern about the "Annual Rally

for Islam" to take place

on 25 July in Trafalgar Square. Al-Muhajiroun do

not have permission to hold a rally. Trafalgar Square has in fact been

booked to host an opera. (Both PRs)

Al-Muhajiroun has issued a press release inviting Sikhs and Hindus to covert

to Islam and making derogatory comments that amount to incitement to racial

hatred. (view shared by both PRs)

In a meeting with police at New Scotland Yard on 19 July Sikhs expressed

their disgust at the lack of action against Al-Muhajiroun.

“We informed the Metropolitan Police as early as last week about our grave

concerns regarding the rally, but neither they nor the CPS, who were also

informed, appreciated the scale of sentiment being expressed in our

community. We did not see any proactive action in the first instance” said

Ramesh Kallidai Secretary General of the HFB.

"The reaction of the Police is rather disappointing to what is fast becoming

a very serious issue on public order."

[Therefore, both, Sikhs and Hindus dissatisfied with the apparent inaction

by the police.]

“The Police are deeply concerned about the sensitivities of the Hindu and

Sikh communities in Britain and will take appropriate action.” confirmed

Robert Pull of the Race and Diversity Unit. [interprete that as you like]

The Metropolitan Police have asked the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) to

examine material produced by Al-Muhajiroun and to prosecute if it amounts to

incitement to racial hatred (against the Sikhs). (Both PRs)

We have also been informed that the British National Party and National

Front are likely to be out in large numbers to hold a counter protest.

(Sikh PR)

The Sikh view is that such groups should be banned as they are a menace to

society and must be denied the opportunity to terrorise law abiding citizens

and spread hatred (Sikh PR)

It is important that Hindus and Sikhs react in a manner that is responsible

but also firm.(Hindu PR)

The Mayor

for London, the Metropolitan Police and others have had many

complaints and WE BELIEVE they will take appropriate actions against the 50

to 60 Al-Muhajiroun activists that are expected to take part in what many

believe will be a non-event that has not been sanctioned. [That is the Sikh

hope!]

Police have urged the British Hindu and Sikh community not to organise a

protest march on the same day in order to maintain public order. (Both Sikhs

and Hindu representatives agree, while doubting “the ability of the police

to deal with race and religious hate crimes”.)

CONCLUSION: (According to the Sikh Press Release: AN OFFICIAL PROTEST IS

NOT BEING ORGANISED by the Sikh community. However, feelings in the Sikh

community are running very high as actions by the CPS and Police are long

overdue. Therefore, some Sikhs are expected to be present to observe the

events at Trafalgar Square and challenge those that decide to make

derogatory comments against Sikhs that amount to incitement to racial

hatred. One person said: "Perhaps we should leave to it to Al-Muhajiroun

and the BNP to decide for themselves who is the greater evil.

The above is for information and guidance of responsible Sikh leadership.

Second email.

_________________________________________________________

Further to my earlier BSCF e-mail (while I have just about got the name of

the offending group right as "Muhajiroun or Muhajiroon") - the following

e-mail passed on by Jagdeesh Singh of SCAN is most helpful. We need more

robust and PUBLIC condemnation and ACTION by responsible Islamic

organisations to root out this evil from our midst.

Subject: Al-Muhajiroon's Annual Rally at Trafalgar Square

Date: Thu, 22 Jul 2004 13:01:35 +0100

Ken Livingstone

Mayor of London

Dear Mr. Livingstone,

Subject: Press release by Al-Muhajiroon: Annual Rally of Islam at Trafalgar

Square on 25 July.

I am appalled to read this press release. I find it abusive, insulting and

provocative, lacking humility of the believers. If Al-Muhajiroon wishes to

hold such a rally they can do so in mosques/ Islamic centres but to allow

them to use a public place like Trafalgar Square is simply unacceptable.

This Square should not become a platform for proselytising. I support the

call made by the Sikh Community to withdraw permission to use Trafalgar

Square by Al-Muhajiroon for this purpose.

Yours sincerely

Dr. Ghayasuddin Siddiqui

Leader, The Muslim Parliament

    • was researching this and came back to this thread. Also found an older thread:
    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
