Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

Daas called the Mayor's office, wanted to speak to the Mayor, but couldn't, had to speak to his assitant, who said that they aint allowed to hold it, they havn't even asked for permission, and even fi they DID, they wouldn't be granted the permission.

The Sqaure already has an event that day, so they Mayor doesn't know HOW they will do it, but IF they do it they will be prosequted.

2 years ago the organisers were prosequted as well.

they said they had recieved a lot of calls

Unfortunatly they didn't have any press release, or ANYTHIGN written

now everyone ombard them with calls telling them to MAKE ONE :TH:

p.s this doesn't mean you don't need to go! you need to SHOW THAT WE CAn'T TOLERATE IT, cause even fi the cancel it OFFICIALLY, unofficially SOMETHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN!

bhull chukk maaf

Following meetings with the Metropolitan Police, the situation is now as follows.

1. It seems likely that the police will allow the 'Rally for Islam' to take place subject to any criminal offences taking place. There will be a heavy police presence. In previous years, the organisers have been targeted by civil actions in the Courts afterwards, for breach of bye-laws because the event has not had official permission. However, this has not deterred them.

2. The Metropolitan Police will be issuing a public statement soon.

3. In addition, the police will be referring the matter to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). A Sikh representative made the point that Sikh organisations such as the ISYF and BK have been banned although they have committed any offences or been prosecuted but groups like al-Muhajiroun and the BNP can go around inciting violence against other communities.

4. The BNP (racist right wing political party) will be holding an unofficial i.e. illegal counter demonstration the same as they did last year. HOWEVER, in addition, the police Special Branch have said that, due to the fact that Rangers FC will be playing in London on Sunday, that fans may also turn up in Trafalgar Square to show support for the BNP (historically the BNP, Rangers hooligans and Northern Irish Loyalist terrorists groups have had strong links). PLEASE NOTE - the police are monitoring forums, emails and other communication methods in relation to this situation.

5. The Hindu community have also met with the police and are planning an official counter demonstration. They said in the meeting that they will bring 10,000 people!!! Also, it was stated that

they would be taking out advertisements in the Hindu press and on radio. We will have to wait and see this!

So it seems, that the Sangat who wish to attend on Sunday and show that Guru ji's nindia will not be tolerated must bear in mind the above facts. However, with Guru ji's blessing, we will emerge from this episode even stronger and united!!!

As Baba Deep Singh ji did, maybe the UK Sangat is going to draw that line in Trafalgar Square - will you cross it and be counted?

Gurfateh jio!

The potential for an eruption into violence is growing now that we know for a fact the National Front is getting involved. And dont be fooled by these guys, they are not our friends and will oppose our presence in Trafalgar Square as viscously as they will oppose the Al Muhajiroun.

National Front Demonstration 25th July 2004

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The National Front will be holding a demonstration in Trafalgar Square on Sunday, the 25th July 2004 to once again oppose the so-called 'Rally for Islam'.

This rally is to be held by Al Muhajiroun, who are well known for spouting their hatred and venom against Britain and her people.

In 2002, Abu Hamza and various other filth stood on the top steps of Nelsons column in perhaps the most democratic country in the world, and chanted the name 'Osama Bin Laden' through a PA system, which echoed around the square. Ironically this was during a so-called message of peace to promote Islam.

This chant was aimed at the National Front supporters that had gathered at the bottom to oppose it.

But the presence of the NF was enough to cut the rally short by over two and a half hours.

The last demonstration we held at Trafalgar square to oppose these silly little people was a resounding success. We hope you can join us to make this one as successful as the last

We would ask all proud Nationalists to join us.

More news about meeting up points etc will arrive nearer the time

Pictures of our last encounter can still be seen at http://www.nfse.co.uk/rally/rally.htm

Our issue here is not with Muslims but with the Al-Muhajiroun and those who support this organization. We should not accept the Al-Muhajiroun as representative of Islam or Muslims. There is only one organization in UK which speaks on behalf of the Muslims in this country and that is the Muslim Council of Britain - http://www.mcb.org.uk/

Everyone should direct their letters to admin@mcb.org.uk and express to them your concerns regarding the rally and to try and get the Muslim Council of Britian to pressure the Al-Muhajiroun to cancel all events and disband!

As far as i know, this event on sunday is still taking place. I rang the organisers and they said it is still taking place. Those of you who would like to participate in the demonstration, there are coach(es) leaving from coventry at 7am sharp. Then the meet up point is Singh Sabha Gurdwara, Park avenue, Southall at 9am. There is also a coach leaving from Smethwick Gurdwara. We need to go and make our presence felt and uphold the respect of our guru's.

The dress code is black/blue dastar (whether you have long hair or not), black/blue clothes (preferbly bana).

UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL

P.S. NO TROUBLE MAKERS ALLOWED

We are not there to cause trouble! We are going because we are going to uphold the respect of our Guru's. If some Muslim fanatics are going to go on stage are speak nonsense about OUR Sikhi then we need to go and correct the blastphomy.

Everyone, I urge you all to sign the petition at this link:

http://www.petitiononline.com/norally/petition.html

As the rally is on July 25th there are only a few days to sign the petition before it is filed with the Mayor of London's office. Please do not hesitate to sign for any reason. The longer the list, the stronger the voice for sangat.

Please use your own peer-network and ask your friends and family to sign up as well. Get the message out about this rally as soon as possible, and as fast as possible. Intolerance and ignorance should not have as great an impact as such a rally could have on our community.

Do not let the extremists holding this rally get the best of us: our community is a dynamic and committed one. Let's put our minds and bodies to work for a common goal; let's show the world what a united Sikh community is capable of.
