Funny how the person talks about "how the native americans felt" out of context. I think the majority of the people who know what happened to the Native Americans have a subconscious guilt about the history. At one point it was an agenda to kill as many Natives you can. The blankets of diseased settlers were given to Native Americans. Around 100,000,000 native americans were wiped out and no one speaks of that today.

At any rate, yes most of them consist of uneducated individuals. Some are actually quite intelligent (a minority) with racist agendas at hand and know where to push the buttons to get what they want done.

Having seen the days in England when open racism and violent attacks on 'ethnics' were commonplace I have to make an observation between the different whites of America and England respectively. It's just a tentative position but I think it may have an element of truth about it.

Although both are deplorable I would say that the common indigenous British/English racist is generally more sly and knowledgable than the Anglo/Euro descended bigot of the US, who really generally do seem to conform to that 'dumb Americans' stereotype (not withstanding that there will be highly intelligent, devious ones behind the scenes pulling strings). Thing with the British type is that they commonly have some idea of what they were talking about in terms of history, culture and politics although they obviously skew it to suit their agenda (a habit perfected during the colonial period no doubt). Their American cousins however are jaw dropingly ignorant in that they really have no clue about the world outside of their 'whitebred' one. Essentially they don't really have a grasp of reality and lap up that Fox News type crap like it was the gospel.

Thing with many of the ones over here is that they mostly know damn well they are talking crap and taking the pi55 (for reasons they see as advantageous to themselves in various ways), however their yankee equivalents seems to genuinely believe in the crap they spout?

I don't know the score in the US but I do know that ultimately it was street level violent reprisals that made the white racists back down here. Maybe American brothers can learn from that should it ever go there (God forbid)?

Empires built on the graves of the innocent whilst hiding behind the facade of their interpretation of "God", can never survive forever. The United States is in decline as a superpower, and whilst this won't come to fruition for at least another 50 years, the signs are there. Make no mistake they won't relinquish their grip on the world so easily. Sure there are some very ignorant Americans but I don't think you're in a position to cast jugdment on anyone else especially the way you didn't know of the relevance to Punjabi culture and the Punjabi language of Heer Ranjha. Indeed, you even revealed yesterday that the Heer Ranjha the whole world reads today is a story about Iranians in Iran :o You may not think its important or relevant but it is. Its important to us as sikhs because we are, like or not, deeply attached to the Punjabi soil and the Punjabi language. Just as much of the words in the English language today have their actual origins in Shakespeare's pieces of litrature the same is true for us Sikhs, the language of our faith and the literary works of Waris Shah especially his Heer Ranjha. It gave us so many of the Punjabi words and expressions we use today.
