Vaheguru ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru ji ki Fat-heh

On this most auspicious occassion, lakh lakh vadiyan Guru di pyaari sangat nu. Please fill your lives with the highest rehit and udham - make it your priorities to make your bodies and minds strong, develop excellent martial skill, familiarise yourself with Sikh Ithihaas and arth of Gurbani (Aad and Dasam), learn more paat kant, listen to and promote the highest quality kirtan, become passionately involved in some form of seva for the Panth and establish an iron amritvela in order to benefit from the fruit of simran.

May Sat-Guru bless and guide us all to put divisions/fences/jathai/sampryada behind us and all continue to unite under the banner of Shahi-Shahaan-Shah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharajs eternal wisdom.

1stly West London Singh ... i thought all of us pronounced it with a V :-)

But more importantly let us spread the knowledge amongst Sikhs and non-Sikhs that ...

Four of the Panj Pyaaray were non-Punjabi's ... let us analyse their backgrounds and ask ourselves why 313 years later caste resonates amongst many in the community and what all of us on this site can do in our lives to destroy the caste system.

Let's also remember that there is no reason more Gujrati's, Dravidians and folks from Orissa can't join the Panth in the future ... because the Panth is about ParmAthma, justice + equality ... and a global spiritual nation.

Now that its 2012 ... let some amongst our community quit making comments about Hindu's given the ancestry of the Panj Pyaaray ... and for that matter does anybody agree that Brahminwaad or Brahminism should be deleted from our Panth's vocabulary given that those from that ancestry who were closest to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji ... such as Bhai Mati Das & Bhai Sati Das ... can be an inspiration for all of India's Brahmins to join Sikhi and indeed the Khalsa Panth

Basically RebelSingh the overall point was should there ideally be more Sikhs of all backgrounds in India and across all races in the world or would others suggest "naah let's just keep Sikhi to ourselves ... to those that are born into the faith"? If you agree there should be more Sikhs of all backgrounds, then remember it's easier to reach people through peaceful, friendly, logical persuasion ... rather than to be antagonistic to them as individuals on account of what politicians of their religion may have done. For example, constant Brahmin-bashing hurts our chances of enlightening decent Brahmin folks about Bhai Mati Das & Bhai Sati Das as two of the greatest GurSikhs (shaheeds) ever.
