good for her...im glad she has the strength and wish her all the best...but my opinion is based on the fact a line between two genders is being broken...men being more feminine and women being more masculine...

the problem arises when these singhnis having a holier than thou attitude..treating all those who choose not to keep their kes are not at their level...and you cant deny it doesnt happen...

I don't believe lower of someone who doesn't keep their kesh - I just see it for it is - that person is at his or her own spiritual level and if they're honest at heart they will want to keep their kesh eventually.

I've seen your posts in the other thread too....don't mean to be rude veerji, but just because you yourself cannot accept a bibi with that much facial hair, it doesn't mean other Singhs won't. There are many Singhs who can't, but there are also many Singhs who can, will and DO.

Secondly...I have never come across a singhni who has a holier than thou attitude because they keep their kes....generally being able to keep their kes to that degree and overcome societal norms/pressure/bullying etc is a sign of a pretty high avastha...they obviously do a lot of baani and have a lot of faith in Guru jee - this baani and faith also helps them remain humble.

You seem to have many preconceived ideas and are clearly trying to point fingers at them from all angles. I'm sorry if I have misinterpreted your posts but that's what it looks like. Fair enough you don't accept such facial hair but keep your prejudices to yourself. It's hard enough for singhnis with facial hair having to deal with taunts from other cultures but then have to deal with apne raising fingers too!!!

She looks like she shapes her beard. The edges are too straight.

Hormone imbalance. She might have an ovarian tumor. Unfortunately, once the hairs have come in, the only way to get rid of them is by shaving or laser treatment.

Waheguru's kirpa, or a medical condition?

I'm for the latter. Her hormones aren't right.

If she wanted to fix her condition, I wouldn't be mad at her. However, she seems content.

I hope she realizes her condition, and is not keeping her beard because she thinks that is how God meant for her to be.

By the way this Harnaam Kaur bhenji already has a Singh as she states in her video, so I guess that answers your question from the other thread. She has more facial kes than Balpreet Kaur bhenji and has a Singh, so with Guru Sahib's kirpa Balpreet Kaur bhenji will also be blessed. Don't worry, Guru Sahib takes the ultimate care of those chidren of His who are firm in the Rehit blessed by Him.

OK fair enough, but mehtab singh do you accept that some bibia have a condition...and that they have a right to treat it if they feel too uncomfortable about it...i just cant see how a bibi can be content having a beard that some men can't even grow to that size...it seems shes struggled and had a harrd time...i dont think she needs to put herself through all that...i think maharaj will love her just as much if she tried to get it treated

See now treatment is an altogether different issue. What we're adoring her for is the fact that she is keeping Guru Sahib's roop. Nonetheless, any sort of removal of kes is beadbi.

I dont know if its just my eyes but that dhari does not look real! If it is then..... :faint:

A line has defientely been broken...I can't really expand any more than that. This level of facial hair on women is extremely abnormal. She should be allowed to sort this out...she should sort this out!

I understand this 100% Veer Ji but seeing as women arent supposed to have such excessive facial hair its grown abnormally, she doesnt really have any mouchan and an overly prominent dhari...does this remind you of a particular style favoured by another community?? Wouldnt say it looks entirely like "Guru Sahibs Roop"

Why should she sort it out?

Because we as a society have set a norm???! This has been happening for generations! The era of armpit hair, chest/leg hair etx. It will continue to happen, tomorrow people will say hair is bad fullstop and we should all go bald!! THEN WHAT???

I dont think its a norm. I dont know of any civilisation where women had a dhari!

I was speaking to senior gurmukh regarding excessive facial hair on female . Their first response is they should get it checked out for- hormone imblances. He said back in the puratan times, sikhs in general were more in touch with being healthy and more in touch with their body knowledge- chemical reaction so on and so forth (estrogen/testorene etc) and seek ayurveda treatment if required including bibiya with excessive facial hair. Now days we are quite obivilous with our body functions so much so any suggestion of getting treatment regarding improper hormone imbalances are consider against nature, going against guru's will. We turned guru maharaj into protestant version of wrathful vahiguroo just waiting with shastar on other side with countless jiv in que waiting for in turn to doom them into some narak khand.

Anyway, coming back to this particular case. This singhani shows strong character by not seeking the treatment. I would expect same strong character shown if someone does not wish to treat deformities in the body. i wish her well in long journey a head (real actual battle is inside of beating panj choors) and work towards milaap with vahiguroo.

Her strong character should go in history books but With that being said, we need to be extra careful we don't let someone hijack and turn this into - some maryada barometer or merit system thats the only and true way to show strong characters in Sikhi.

I have studied in christian school in calcutta. I know how exactly right wing mindset works. Most right wing do the same thing of all religions, they will speak staunchly against it but when it comes to personal life, they are first one to follow things which they are so staunchly against.

Being a female I will give my opnion too. if she has no health condition, and she is ok and comfortable with, then why should it be a problem for anybody else?

Her life let her do what she wants. On one hand people are saying females should not do waxing this and that, and on the other saying she should get rid of it. Its got nothing to do with us, its her hair let her do what she wants with it. She is educated and Im sure her doctors would have discussed any health conditions with her.

    • It's a woman even if she returns and claims to be a male to discredit my judgement. It's a woman. Only a woman objects to a light being shone on the unflattering and rarely mentioned aspects of her sex's psychology and habits. When I've dragged Sikh males over the coals on this forum, not one guy ever objected to me doing so. Neither did any Sikh females interestingly enough. Nobody said, "But not all Sikh males are like that." You all quietly accepted my assessment of the situation. Your silence meant you agreed. As for Ajeet, I castigated him in the past for not having the courage to spurn marriage. He only got married to get his parents off his back. He's deceived a woman into a lifelong union that should never have happened. He tried arguing in the past that what he'll provide for his wife will be no less than what a hetero husband would do for her (and therefore, in his mind, that makes it morally acceptable), which he feels is difficult to refute, yet I believe had the girl known about his orientation there is NO way she would've agreed. She deserved to know.  Despite all this, he asked for advice, and I gave him my take on the situation. I gave him an unpleasant and stark take on his problem. I won't grind my gears and shower this place with empty platitudes that are useless and impractical. I told him what MIGHT happen based on a few variables in play. I didn't bother softening or sugar coating what he needed to hear.
    • this seems a spurious sakhi because Amar Das ji's mind was won over by the singing of gurbani by Bibi Amro ji , he had no NEED to test the Guru , he was totally overjoyed to finally find his Guru ji  ever read 1st pauri of Anand Sahib ?
    • what makes you think it is a lady , could be a clean hearted youth ? ... anyway it is unreasonable to assume that his(Ajeet's)  wife will cheat on him as she has much more to lose than him as she has a child , a home and the respect of his family name . Maybe he is still mentally troubled by his own kaamic thoughts and is projecting , best solution is to let her use her talents in a safe arena so she feels happy and heard  and he works on being close and loving as a family man . This allows him the monetary support he feels he needs and perhaps the lessening of his mental stress but only if he will be able to stop overthinking and imagining calamity at every turn . Remember this is the guys who was insisting on aborting his child because his wife had a fever .
    • Wonderful women. Nothing like the ones we decry, hence why some of us are able to discern the quality women in our lives versus the devious, one-dimensional trash trying to gaslight society into believing they possess any virtues whatsoever. Which category do you fall into?
