Bhai Balwant Singh Ji Rajoana has been given a 10-year Rigourous Puniahment sentence by a court today.
He is already on death-row for blasting Beanta Butcher and his sentence has been stayed pending decision of these 2 cases.
One case is done, other's date is 16 Feb.
Giving RI to Bhai Sahib just because He doesnt believe in Indian Justice System ( For not punishing culprits of 1984 Genocide and susequent Genocide of Sikh Youth in Punjab) shows how Men of Honour are being treated.
Aniways -- These RI'S and Life Imprisonments cant break Him and His resolve..... He is already looking in eyes of a Death Sentence by Hanging....

Beant Singh's grandson wants Balwant Singh Rajoana hanged

NEW DELHI: The government should follow up on the hanging of Afzal Guru and execute the killer of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, grandson of the slain leader and Congress MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has demanded.

Bittu told TOI that hanging Balwant Singh Rajoana would send out a strong message that crime would lead to commensurate punishment and deter those daring to breach the law.

"Crime rate is increasing because people see that Rajoana is not hanged despite killing a CM and then openly proclaiming that he does not recognize the law and if let off, he would commit the crime again. It emboldens smaller criminals who think if the government is unable to punish the culprit of such a high-profile assassination, then they have nothing much to worry," he said, justifying the call for Rajoana's hanging.

It marks a departure from Bittu's stance last March when the Akali Dal-run Punjab government approached the President for Rajoana's clemency, warning that hanging him would revive militancy. The former CM's family had backed "any decision the Badal government takes in the larger interest of peace in the state".

However, Bittu now wants the state government to revisit its stand. "If the SGPC and Akali Dal defend Rajoana, then it is sad. If they want Sikhs to do well, they should take a positive stand," he said.

Guru's execution for the Parliament attack has retrained focus on Rajoana. J&K chief minister Omar Abdullah questioned the government deciding Guru's clemency before that of killers of Beant Singh and former PM Rajiv Gandhi who were ahead in the queue.

Bittu, the MP from Anandpur Sahib, said Rajoana had refused to defend himself in the courts by saying he did not recognize Indian laws or the State. "There will be no repercussions. People appreciate that those who commit a crime are punished. There is no politics in it," he said.

Adding that Beant Singh worked to end terror in the state, Bittu said the family's responsibility was to take it forward and not be scared of terrorists. "He should be hanged fast," he said.

Beant Singh became the CM in the first election following the state's crackdown on terror and was killed by Khalistani terrorists in 1995.

Bittu said the demand to execute Rajoana was not aimed at satisfying the family but to serve the larger interest of upholding rule of law. He rubbished warnings that it could reopen old wounds among Punjab residents.
