Why do these lot have to put their leg into everything Sikhs do? I mean, if you give a siropa to a shaheed family, the "news" exclaims "OMG, this is going to cause a revolution in Punjab". But they are blind, they can't see the real terrorists. How come nothing was said on the police that shot on peaceful protesters, or the real terrorists who mached into the Darbar Sahib and killed thousands of innocents? If the Indians have a right to see the army and Indira Gandhi as a hero, why can't we see Sant Bhindranwale and Bhai Rajoana as heroes? After all, India is a "democracy".

EXACTLY!! Anything a Sikh does it makes it to news. They think a mere song or a movie is very offensive. Yet the majority community sees nothing wrong in naming an international airport in delhi, schools, colleges and universities in honour of Indira Gandhi who attacked the Darbar Sahib and slaughtered thousands of Sikhs in cold blood. They don't for one monent think how offensive that is to the Sikh community. So why should we care if someone else feels offensive from a song or a movie? We should not even act apologetic to them as some try.

Right now there is a lot of propaganda being done against Sikhs, we all need to make an effort to counter it where ever it is done whether it is on the comment section of some article or under a youtube video.

Veer Ji it can be done if we have an efficient, and a dedicated task-force composed of knowledgeable do or die individuals. This film is going to do what Bhai Rajoana did last year, light a fire. And shame on us if we let this fire down. Whats the point of living if you cannot emaluate the shaheeds you look up to? We might grow old raising money but no one will remember us, but if we do something for the panth than at least we can say on the other side that yes we tried paying our shaheeds back for their sacrifices.

there already is such a movement. But the focus has to start with educating Sikhs about what SJS Bhindranwale was about. It has been 29 years this year since bluestar, and that equals 1 generation, so you have to start with them, because they will be just as ignorant as the next non-sikh person, and more susceptible to indian propoganda.

I have met young Sikhs even form india, who have no idea of what led to bluestar or what Sant ji was about.

an example, very few gurdwaras even remember the 1978 Vaisakhi murder of Sikhs, and repeatedly fail to inform sangat of the incident, but talk about 1699 only.

The film needs to become a big success so that the same people as well as others will then make films from the Sikh viewpoint. All we have had is the government and Hindu viewpoint. One thing I would ask is that even if you are offered a pirate copy dvd don't watch it as you are directly hurting the makers of the film financially. Watch the film at the cinema so that there becomes a demand of these types of films in the future. Sadda Haq should not become the only stand out film but should be followed by others so that the youth are educated about how India treated us in 1984 and after.

One thing that impresses me about Kuljinder Sidhu is that unlike others who might have buckled under the pressure of the scrutiny by the Hindu media, he has remained true to his convictions and not backtracked on anything he has said. In one of the interviews the <banned word filter activated> reporter asks him if the baagis (rebels) described in the song by Jazzy B were fighting in a right cause, he said 'yes' without hesitation. Someone else might have backtracked and tried to get the media on his side by diluting the message of the film but kudos to Kuljinder Sidhu for standing up.

One other thing we need to be weary off is that some media will try and turn Sikhs against him. They have already tried by saying that Sikhs are hurt by his comparing Guru Gobind Singh with Bhagat Singh and Rajoana. Some media will and cut and edit some of his statements in order to make it look like he is saying something else. So be weary of this.
