By focusing on falsehood of other religions alone will not prove how Gurmat is the truth. It will not bring anyone closer to the path Missionaries are doing exactly this by writing against what Sikhi is not yet never focusing on what Sikhi really is and how to practice it. Communication is the key and the best way to preach Gurmat is by following the footsteps of Guru Sahibans. Their preaching tours are well outlined in the sakhis. Parchaar is the collective as well as individual responsibility of the Sikhs. Our methods can differ but the truth must not be compromised. Your sheer mocking of SikhKosh gives the impression that you disagree (could be my misunderstanding) with him and the Shabads posted but a mockery doesn't prove anything. Thanks for clarifying. As I mentioned before, I haven't disagreed with him, and also stated that my post was not directed at SikhKosh specifically. Mockery as you stated is indeed "a terrible method for dialogue on religious topics".

It is simply because the big cat got smacked across the face. Ever seen a cat play with a mouse before leaving only the tail of it? The politically correct people are like the cat. They wanted to dance (deceive) with the opponent before showing their true intentions. The OP did not let this happen. Instead he grabbed the cat by the whiskers and gave it one hard smack. The cat tried to raise it's claws in defense, but grabbed other whiskers and now the cat has it's tail between it's legs.

If the cat disagrees with the OP then they will be disagreeing with Gurbani. If they agree with the OP, then they would be going against what they believed in. I was listening to Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh ji katha on Gurbani yesterday and he was explaining what manmukh means. Sant ji simply started by saying those who follow their mind are manmukh. They do as their mind tells them everyday. Additionally, in the next Katha he explained that only Satguru can carry anyone across.

These divisions are man made. Regardless of when Sikhi was revealed to the world, there will always be fake religions created and with more followers. Prophets are only able to do as Vaheguru commands them. Same with humans. No one is able to do more than what Vaheguru commands them. Many religious scriptures are Man made. The Bible, Koran, Vedas, Katha Upanishads, etc are man made scriptures.

If today a person who contemplates on himself for countless years and afterwards rights a scripture will you call it HOLY? What makes something holy? If you want to speak in secular terms, anything that is about the world/life beyond. Which would mean the devil worshippers are holy. But when looking at it through Sikhi, then there is only one holy, which is Satguru. There is no degree on holiness. It's either you lead me to the creator or you don't. Has anyone ever said after completing a degree.........you know what I am going to settle with the high school diploma...........I can make a living off it and still sustain my family, who needs the degree. When you say their is a degree of holiness, then you are denying yourself all the hard work and effort you put in to attain the ultimate goal.

If you want to reach the lower realms, then don't bother reading scriptures. Just sit in a quiet place and contemplate on the self. Slowly, the universe will tell you how to get it done. It's not difficult and no need for organized religion.

What you speak about is very hard to do....speaking about what Sikhi is. When we speak about what Sikhi is not many times this is because the mind itself is not sure what Sikhi is. So it is a defense mechanism to not fall down and never get back up. Harinder Singh, Missionaries, among others are stuck in this way of thinking. A piece of advise to these people would be to let go. They have this mindset they are some how defenders of the faith and they need to rescue it. So they have this knee <banned word filter activated> reaction to Sikhi. Dare I say it.......they need to read more Gurbani and let Satguru take over. This is the biggest obstacle in everyone's way. We don't want to let go and let Satguru in our lives. One thing I have noticed is that Gurmukhs have this child like innocence to them.

First thing first, we need to understand what is the spiritual destination of the other religions to see if they are all the same. The Christians want heaven, Muslims want Jannat (with multiple virgin hooris, river flowing of wine etc), Hindus depending on which deity they worship have their own destinations(Vaikunt, Swarg, Shivpuri etc), Buddhists want Nirvana. Most of these destinations are all in GianKhand and are temporary. The Sikh destination is Sachkhand which is the permanent abode of Vaheguru all other spiritual destinations are temporary. Other religions do not seek nor did their founders know of Sachkhand.

Secondly, Unlike the other religions, Sikhi does not condemn anyone to hell just because they are non Sikhs. An ardent practitioner of any faith will only get as high as his religion's founder has gotten. Since Buddha, Shiva, Krishna (and probably Jesus and Prophet Mohammad) are all in Gian Khand, their (spiritually) highest followers can only reach as high as Gian Khand not higher than their religion's founder. It is only the Sikhs whose spiritual goal or destination is Sachkhand.

Not every Muslim is out to give Dawah? Brother, every committed Muslim is out to give Dawah and is at war with Dar Ul Harb (non Islamic world). If a Muslim is peaceful he is not yet acquaint with the content of the Al Quran and the Hadith.

Puratan Singhs knew <banned word filter activated> inside out and they were (rightly) high handed in their approach to them, you can look at Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, Akali Phula Singh or Hari Singh Nalwa.

There are Hindu Bhagat's writings in The Sri Guru Granth Sahib, Kabir Ji was born in a Muslim family, they're religions led them to the light of Sikhi, Waheguru created many paths to the light, you cannot sit there and just take the negatives and the criticisms of those said religions to say they are false. What some followers of the religion do ARE false, there's plenty that Sikhs do which is false, to be so simple minded as to conclude that therefore they don't lead to Akal Purakh is a straw-man argument.

Which Hindu Bhagats Bani is in Guru Granth Sahib? Gurbani is united under one Soch, one Veechar because it is Dhur Ki Bani so it is not contradictory; all Gurus and Bhagats had the same views.

Bhagat Kabeer Ji met Guru Nanak Sahib in Magaar (UP), Sultanpur and many other places. The Puratan Goindwal Pothis say 'Kabeer Nama(dev) Bhagat Guru Babe Ke'. Mehervaan Janamsakhi records the incident where several Bhagats (including Bhagat Kabeer Ji and Bhagat Naamdev Ji) were ordered by Akaal Purakh to go and meet Jagat Guru Nanak Sahib.

Its not about followers its about the essential practises. You need to go on Hajj and keep Ramadan fast if you are a practising Muslim, right? Gurbani rejects that, so how doesn't it reject Islam?
