LOL, you know for some weird reason, I could see this was going to be coming in your next post. By your logic, which suggests being "practical" and teaming up with those you call "big boys", I guess the Puratan Singhs would be "practical" in your opinion if they had embraced Islam? But you know and I know that it never happened. Whether it was 40 fighting 1 million at Chamkaur Sahib, or 2 little kids standing upto Suba Sirhind, they chose not to be "practical". Had they considered the opinion to keep their survival as their top priority or else "get trampled", chances are we would be living very different lives and would be having very different sounding names.

Your opinion isn't wrong I must say, but I am sorry, in view of the kind of history we have had, its unacceptable no matter how attractive of an offer it may be. Abdali had also offered Nawabi to the Singhs, but they refused it outright. Today the times are different, the Singhs are different, but their legacy and heritage still runs in the veins of those who believe in Raj Karega Khalsa.

One of my associates served with the British Army Parachuters In 1982 Falklands. They now do seva in Gurdwaras rubbing shoulders with regular sangat.. British War Veterans recieve HMS Forces Letters for ROyal Seva all the time with the supposed Highest Layers of Society.
