YO everyone, check out what nihal (BBC Asian Network), has written on his Twitter page in regards to this whole situation regarding Rampal, n how hes compared it to Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale and the darbar sahib attack!

Your views please guys, am i reading his message/tweet wrong? Is he being sarcastic and ironic? Or is he being deliberate in his tweet?

He's being sarcastic and deliberate by comparing the Rampal Situation to Operation Blue Star. It is so ignorant of this 'Nihal' guy to compare the two because Sant Ji stood for the rights of Sikhs, paani da masla etc. plus there's countless proof indicating the government had already planned on attacking Darbar Sahib before Sant Ji 'fortified' it (if that's how the government wants to put it). So this Nihal guy really needs to pick up a history book before making ridiculous and naive comparisons. You can't take a situation and compare it to another situation just because it's a 'religious man' that has barricaded into a religious place. Sant Ji stood for political and religious matters. Whereas this Rampal guy no clue what he's doing but I'm positive it's nowhere near the atrocities the Sikhs had to face not only post '84 but pre '84. Truly a naive and uneducated statement.

When he covered Langar week he was constantly saying maybe you should restrict langar cos it's not fair on sangat to pay for feeding non-sikhs who have started coming .... my feeling he can't help himself he is thinking from a maya level and playing devil's advocate to put masala for listeners . Nihal is young and stupid for uttering such nonsense , simply need to put him straight about what he said and leave it at that.

U kno wat gets me about him? Hes actually intelligent, in that when he talks of world politics, past and present, he actually has good grasp of it. However, he has now done sooooooooooo many discussions on 84/sant jarnail singh/indira gandhi etc, and yet he has not learnt anything, nor it seems attempted to. I mean few weeks back on a special 30yr of 84 program he did, he kept on saying "how does 84 RIOTS affect sikhs & HINDUS". Oh im sorry darky, but when did this have anything to do with hindus? Also a number of people (txters/emailers/callers/guests), kept correcting him on the fact that it was a KHANgress led genocide and it was not a hindu involvement, yet he kept on saying it. Even hindus were ringin up tellin him whats what. Like u have mentioned already, he has 2 say stuff to stay important n controversial. Also the fact that he constantly invites that liar mark tully n gen.brar on his show, YET reluctantly invites genuine knowledgable sikhs like jagraj singh (basics of sikhi), sarb singh (rajoana tv) n shamsher singh (immortal prod) shows u BBC INDIAN networks intent.

Everytime i txt his show, he always seems reluctant 2 read it out n seems very dismissive of my contributive txts. I kno he still bitter about when he got done by sikhs over his comments of how supposedly sikhi is a religion made up of number faiths. When i challenged him, he lambasted my comment, n the rest is history, thanks to lord inderjit singh n sikh channel, who had my back.

He is Sri Lankan and during the eighties they had the displeasure of Indian army on their heads too , raping torturing murdering etc etc. after the atrocities were committed they sent our lads into those places to catch the backlash from tamil tigers . I know because I was 17 and at my first job and got surrounded by my fellow female workers majority Tamil and they laid into me about what was happening there, many tears were shed by those who didn't know what was happening to their families. I explained to them the government was doing that to us in Punjab as well and that they are sending our boys to get killed by angry Tamils after they had their fun. They understood and we had major dialogues about how The Indian Government was the enemy of the people and what was going on in Punjab. Maybe he was misinformed about our lads too and has a secret grudge, you never know until you ask ...Daya first not all is black and white especially with congress

Indeed, well said. Ive encountered many pro-tamil tiger ppl on the internet, n they have great admiration for the sikh/khalistan movement. I told him, that we should take great pleasure in the fact that the evil gandhis were assassinated by ppl(beant/satwant/rajaratnam) from the 2 kaums, they both(indira/rajiv) discriminated upon.

Nihal, u have to remember, is singhalese (majority ethnics of SL), so he may choose to not know certain things, or atleast look through rose tinted glasses.

Congress supported Singhalese government so that's why maybe he doesn't like to be too vocal in anti-congress talk , but like any normal human you cannot ignore the truth.

Nihal is not that young, he is well into his forties. He is just another coconut, infact most of these "Asian" BBC presenters fit into this criteria.
