Bhai Chaupa Singh Ji Rehitnama - Who Is Tankhaiya

A GurSikh shared these powerful bachans in form of Rehitnama by Bhai Chaupa Singh ji which tells us who is Tankhah. I am copy pasting it here so sangat can read it as well:

ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ, ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਾਏ, ਲੁਟਾਏ, ਮਰਵਾਏ, ਸੋ ਦੈਂਤ ਜਾਨਣਾ। - Tankhahnama Bhai Choupa Singh Shibber

The current situation in Panth, fights among the Sikhs which leads to Beadbi of Dastaar, pulling Kes, killings and committing assassination attempt of fellow Sikh Gurbhais, is sure a sad state. In fact, it points that Malesh is uprising.

Daas was going through Rehtnamas and there are very hard Bachans towards those Sikhs who commit and indulge in such acts against other Sikhs. Tankhaahnama Bhai Chuapa Singh mentions those accounts as very much against Sikhi (Tankhiya).

1) ਜੋ ਸਿਖ, ਸਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਦਾੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਏ, ਸੋ ਭੀ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ।

2) ਜੋ ਸਿਖ, ਸਿੱਖ ਦੇ ਕੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ਪਾਏ, ਸੋ ਭੀ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ।

3) ਜੋ ਸਿਖ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਥੋਂ-ਪਾਈ-ਲੜਾਈ ਕਰੇ, ਸੋ ਭੀ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ।

For above three you can imagine how many Tankhiyay are out there now. What to talk about Chardi Kala of Panth. Following is the one which talks about who doesn’t stop fight even asked by a fellow Sikh is Tankhyiya too:

4) ਜੋ ਦੁਇ ਸਿਖ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਲੜਨ, ਸਿੱਖ ਮਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੜਾਈ ਨਾ ਛਡਣ, ਸੋ ਤਨਖਾਈਏ।

Next one has even stronger Bachans:

5) ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਕਰਾਏ, ਲੁਟਾਏ, ਮਰਵਾਏ, ਸੋ ਦੈਂਤ ਜਾਨਣਾ।

It says a Sikh who intentionally play role in sending other Sikh in jail, involve in looting (steal) of other Sikh, commit killing of other Sikh, that Sikh must be known as Daiant (demon). Furthermore, it says who has close contact with them they too are Tankhiyay. Not Just Tankhiaya but BEMUKH Tankhayia:

6) ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਸਿਖ ਐਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਵਰਤਣ, ਬੇਮੁਖ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ।

In light of above Rehatnamay, recent killing of Bhai Bhupinder Singh is committed by none else but Daiant. They can’t be called Sikh. Whoever, support them or keeps relation is also BEMUKH Tankhayia.

May Guru Sahib save us from this dark age of Kaljug atay Malesha da Naas Hovay.

According to Bhai Chaupa Singh Ji dhuma is a Tankhiyah and Sri Akaal Takhat Sahib needs to intervene and deliver a Tankhaiyah.

I was never a big fan of the style of katha that Baba Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale did but he does good parchar. He replied and stated truth that dhuma is a government agent and now they turned this into a beadbi and Dasam Granth Sahib bani issue that some Taksal members who are against dhumma have bandwagoned on.

Dhuma is using sikh sentiments to solidify his position as jathedar by creating an issue out of nothing with dhadrianwala.

I propose that EVERY gurdwara on the planet should have these rehitnamey/tankiyanamey put into translated and romanised posters and slapped up on ALL the doorways and congregational spaces . What sikhs don't know are these rules and guidances and that is why they have fallen so far . Why were they discarded by Singh Sabha movement , any clues?

Nobody cares, bhenji. Why would they, when Sikhi has become a religious buffet that individuals pick and choose which aspects of it to follow according to lifestyle requirements and tastes?

The lessons found in Sikh scriptures should be enough for us all. What else do we need in order to stay on the straight and narrow?

good chittar to the head comes to mind , I mean unless it is blatantly spelt out most punjabis are so amord they will justify every bad action with it is not written in Guru ji, 'show me where it is written in Guru GRanth Sahib ji' it the popular fitte muh phrase of the day.

Exactly.

I can foresee a time where taking amrit and becoming a Gursikh will begin to be questioned, because it's not explicitly specified in Guru Granth Sahib Ji. It'll happen one day, unfortunately.
