problem is when we don't keep an eye on activities done in the kaum's name . I have heard about children being beaten by hindu teachers hired by Baru Sahib even one girl having her hair cut . It is great they are teaching our bibian but we all need to support the bibian who are doig their best to bring change in the kaum .

The problem is that they don't follow on Gurmat principles, could you imagine if the school Vaheguru made himself, (Damdami Taksal), started allowing Non-Sikhs to teach at a Sikh institution? That Iqbal Singh is also a Regressive Leftist who believes all religions are equal, (something the inspiration of Baru Sahib never claimed, Sant Attar Singh who himself did Prachar in areas where Sikhs were few in number). Ask this Iqbal Singh whether he has ever read Bhai Gurdas Ji Di Vaaran, but he'll still keep the Non-Sikhs, cause he's an SJW!

all religions are not equal , that's the whole reason why we have Sikhi ...if somebody like him doesn't get it who is going to? He basically is cutting sikhi jard from the base and then claims to champion sikh values ? so confused and confusing

I spoke to Hari Singh Randhawawale and they told me that they didn't limit themselves from learning from anyone, and that they themselves learned Ayurvedic medicine from various pandits over the years. So people high up at DDT don't seem to have any problem with learning from nonSikhs. Now, if we are running an educational institute it's common sense that we utilise the best teachers around. Sometimes (very often actually) these people aren't of the same religion/race as us. Okay, if we talking Sikh theology , we'd want a Sikh teacher but for other stuff, like say Farsi (say for a better understanding of the Persian Sikh texts), we might well be better off with a nonSikh teacher. Same with say maths.

I noticed that a lot of black people these days prefer 'Indian' maths and science teachers for giving their kids tuition in these subjects because they have a good reputation. That's how it works.

Bro why disrespect Baba Iqbal Singh ji? He is our Buzurg, at least don't disrespect him for that reason.

All religions being equal is a common misconception many Sikhs are suffering from. This all started from those who believe that the Bhagat Sahiban were not even Sikhs of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji or that they were not contemporaries of Guru Sahib and met physically while on earth. Before the arrival of the British who created these false notions, there was no doubt among Sikhs what the status of Guru Sahib was in regards to the Bhagats who had become His Sikhs and only then recieved the Illahi Bani from Sachkhand that we read in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji as Bhagat Bani.

So does Baba Iqbal Singh believe that all religions are equal, or that there's many ways to Vaheguru, or does he like most genuine Gursikhs, (including the inspiration of Baru Sahib itself, Sant Attar Singh Ji), that Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Sikhi is the only way? If he has answered the second answer, Daas will empty the negative things about him from the post above.

I dont know about that but he has done some good work by opening akal academy schools all over north India. This school strictly promotes Sikh students to be Saabat Surat plus Bana with top quality education combined with Gurmat Sikhya and Gurmat Sangeet. If a Sikh student does kesh katal he is suspended from school. Years ago even the Hindu students use to have to wear dastars because it was part of the school uniform but then some Sikhs(from Dal Khalsa) who are infected with the bimari of secularism started making noise about this so they changed this rule from dastars to wearing a rumaal on the heads of Hindu students.

Initially the administration of Baru Sahib was under the control of rural based sikhs(jatts, ramgariyas) but now Bhaapas have taken over.

These bhaapas join an organisation, slowly increase their number and then control the organization by voting for a bhaapa pardhaan.

These bhaapas have also ruined AKJ and have ruined the dietary bibek rehit of the jatha.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
