I believe in asserting myself and the principles of gurbani, defending them when challenged. 'Sikh unity' is not anathema to me.. In fact quite the opposite.. I believe in uniting around the core principles of sikhi.. Your idea of 'sikh unity' is predicated on creating and manufacturing a identity which is about political and cultural identity.. For me guru nanak expressed dur ki bani that transcends such narrow things.. 

I absolutely reject your analysis that I believe in being rudderless, quite the opposite I believe as Tisarpanth we are bestowed upon us and have guardianship of a something that even in our darkest hours we still have to resist falling in to lazy politics..

When the opposition -- and there is undeniable evidence there is opposition to the existence and prosperity of the Sikh identity (even if you do try to limit it as a coarse, Godless, solely cultural antithesis of Sikh theology) -- hasn't any semblance of an inclination to abide by the admittedly noble ideals you describe, what should be done? Hope those who bear us ill intentions leave us in peace? Pray the hostility away? Kumbaya, my satguru, kumbaya? 

If your convictions stem from a place of honest-to-God naivety then fair enough. But I suspect there's a less than altruistic motivation behind the impassioned appeals to a higher state of Sikh consciousness.

A reply is unnecessary. I predict we will be travelling in ever decreasing circles.
