We as Sikhs are meant to stand out from the crowd.

what you have just said is irrelevant completely, just random rubbish.

I want to know how wearing a dastaar makes us different, in this day and age?

Not your life story.

What's the need to be rude? The way a Dastar makes us look different is because it stands out, rather than just cutting your hair and looking just like everyone else, we have a crown on our head. If you can't understand that a dastar is a sign of royalty then idk how to explain it to you.

Brother, who is smarter you or Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji Maharaj?

And tell me why did Bhai Taru Singh ji rather be scalped alive and die a death where he bled for 20 days than just cut his hair. Why did he value Kesh so much?

Ask yourself this. What did he get out of it?

Guru ordered that as his Sikhs we have this roop. You want to be a Sikh then follow it full stop.

Protect hair from what? Demons? Dust? Cmon man, speak English.

Well if it is dangling around everywhere how hard is it for some guy to cut it?

no you really don't know how to explain it, so maybe go back to the drawing board.

maybe you should read what I wrote on that thread before judging , I told the Mum to hang in there and increase the love and support of her daughter , sikhi is Love- unconditional at that . We all have moments of being tested and having doubts it is part and parcel of the journey . Because of its nature Sikhi cannot be aligned with the maya driven world and its motives.

lets break that up for a second.

Do not, in any case, ASSUME, that telling someone to love, will make them love.

Love is acceptance ...people can change their attitude and accept the other person in toto  if they LOVE , anything conditional coming into the picture then it is not  LOVE
