maybe you actually need to read about doctors who treat childhood obesity , if they exist it is because there are obese children , obese children become obese teens and then adults if there is no intervention.
truth is there is an expolsion in strokes, heart attacks, hypertension and diabetes type 2 in children, for the first time kids are being buried by their parents after deaths from chronic diseases relating to dietary choices

when, Sikhs, these days, say, "Trust in Waheguru, and not this scientific nonsense" , WHAT CAN YOU DO REALLY

That's a sentiment I've noticed over the last couple of years that's being heavily pushed onto the sangat by various kathavachaks and parchaaraks. I wonder why they're going down that road? Funnily enough, it's an idea that seems to come from a certain brand of preacher; mostly rabble rousers and, if I'm being frank, the less learned / intelligent types of preachers that get stage time. Strange how the contemporary greats such as Giani Pinderpal Singh never go down that route, almost as if their knowledge and spiritual gian speaks volumes instead of telling Sikhs to stop trying with life and hope for the best, which we all know is how the masses are prone to interpret this particular sentiment. It's a rather dangerous and quite careless trend that should be curbed before it gets out of hand.

what do you mean 'to genetics', you mean certain foods for east Asians and certain foods for Caucasians?

e.g. chinese people have severe lack of lactase production and also the ability to process alcohol so those things dairy and alcohol will have an even harsher effect on a Chinese person than say a Danish person whose gentics have adapted ingesting dairy and alcohol much more .

if you compare the Tarahumera and the Pima indians who are genetically indentical  you can see the effect of eating nonnative/cultural  foods , the Tarahumera are ultramarathoners, slim , strong on their cultural diet  and the Pima are actually the most diabetes and obesity stricken ethnic group in USA having started eating like the whiteys

Women in Punjab Are The Most Obese Of All – Survey

Punjab is the land of butter chicken, lassi and also big fat weddings. Almost all the people of Punjab are food lovers and not to forget that their unconditional love for alcohol. Punjabis are undoubtedly the coolest and the most chilled out people in India but the report revealed by the national health survey is surely going to disappoint all the Punjabis.

As per the report revealed by national heath survey, Punjabis are the most obese community. The women in Punjab have left behind the men in Punjab in terms of obesity. It has happened for the first time in a decade and the reason for the same could be a drop in liquor consumption by men in Punjab. Though Punjab also has a lot of fitness freaks but it’s a matter of serious concern for the obese people.

Obesity Problem With The Women In Punjab

The percentage of obese women in Punjab will definitely shock you.As per the NFHS (National Family Health Survey) 2015-16, 32.4% of women in Punjab are obese and diabetic. Men in Punjab are also not behind as the percentage of obese men in Punjab is 32.1%. There are 30.6% overweight women and 25% overweight men in the villages of Punjab.

Punjabis living in both urban and rural areas have become fatter since the last NFHS round (2005-06).

Punjabi’s Consumption Habits

Union Ministry of health and family welfare commissioned the latest round last year. International Institute of Population Sciences, Mumbai completed the survey last year.

The survey’s report of the habits of the Punjabis will give you chills down your spine. Drug abuse was the main issue in the state’s polls. The strangest thing is that men in Punjab have become much sober as far as consuming liquor is concerned. As per a report, there were about 34% liquor consumers in Punjab’s cities in 2005-06. The percentage has dropped from 34% to 29.7% and there has been a drop in villages too from 43.4% to 36.9%

The analysts said that there a lot reasons for this change. Some of them are the awareness campaigns by women, more dependence on drugs and also that the panchayats socially boycotted the vend owners.

Image result for fat punjabis

Seems like the typical trolling punjab 'govt' report/propaganda like the ones about female foetocide they've been naming punjab for ages as the  worst but it is blatantly not true in uttar pradesh no female was born for three months in a particular region . Gujarat have their fair share of fatties and Haryana too not mention other states . Not to say we are angels but anywhere where people have affluence and western influence it is going to be like that. BBC had a documentary on a while back explaining the obesity epidemic in India and it hardly mentioned Punjabi, besides the people above look like pakistanis/hindus not apney.

    • The pakistani muslims main grievance with Sikh rule of maharajah ranjit singh was that he allegedly used the open air courtyard of badshahi masjid for his troops horses. That they did not allow the azaan to be called from minarets (which was used to disturb the the peace and harmony of punjab). That ranjit singh allegedly opened coffin of a dead muslim woman and stole her quran? (mad unfounded accusations). At least the Sikhs let the muslims remain muslims during his raj. At least the Sikhs didnt kill muslims or oppressed them to the extent they rather died than live under Sikh rule. The Sikhs understood the needs of muslims and let them live and let live as long as they did not rebel against the Sikh government and as long as they didnt harm the Sikhs. Things were beautiful its only when the arab influenced wahaabi salaafi type jihadi extremist muslims came and british empire invaders came did they disturb the peace and brotherhood of glorious Sikh ruled punjab. Now compare that to the zulum and brutalities musilm rulers inflicted on the Sikhs and other punjabis in the past. And to this day the amount of attacks and blood shed of Sikhs is unforgivable and intolerable. Yet the muslims of indian subcontinent have the cheek to say Sikh rule oppressed muslims and so hold this deep hate for us.
    • The pakistani army had this retard in prison for protesting against the removal of blasphemy laws, he then brought out his goons to block traffic and cause chaos on pakistani roads. The molvi's are the real bastaards of pakistan who get their orders and funding from rich arabs and then they put pressure on the pakistani government and army to do things that they want them to do. When Sikhs from pakistan tell us they are safe and happy in pakistan you know their lying they can't speak out of their true feelings because of molvi's like this guy making their lives very difficult. They are 2nd most oppressed Sikh community in the world the first being afghan sikhs.
    • Islamic State Khorasan chief Mawlawi Abdullah, mastermind behind Kabul Gurdwara attack, arrested Updated Apr 04, 2020 | 21:30 IST   The Islamic State had claimed the responsibility for the terror attack on a Gurudwara in central Kabul on March 25 in which at least 27 Sikhs were killed.   File photo of Kabul Gurdwara attack mastermind Mawlawi Abdullah  |  Photo Credit: ANI Kabul: Afghan forces on Saturday arrested the chief of terror outfit  Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), Mawlawi Abdullah aka Aslam Farooqui for plotting the attack on a gurdwara in Kabul last month. The ISKP had claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed at least 27 Sikhs, on a Gurdwara in the capital Kabul city. According to the sources, Afghanistan's Intel Agency, National Directorate of Security (NDS), has confirmed the arrest of IS Khorasan Chief. The NDS said Aslam Farooqui had links with Pakistan based terror networks like Lashkar-e-Tayebba and Haqqani network. Four Pakistani nationals and Islamic State members - Masoudullah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khan Mohammad from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Salman from Karachi, and Ali Mohammad from Islamabad - have also been arrested in connection with the Kabul Gurdwara attack, news agency ANI quoted sources as saying. Mawlawi Abdullah, who is a Pakistani national, had replaced Mawlawi Zia-ul-Haq aka Abu Omar Khorasani as the ISKP chief in April 2019. He belongs to the Mamozai tribe and from the Orakzai agency area on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. March 25 Kabul Gurdwara attack At least 27 Sikhs, including a child, were killed and eight others left injured when heavily-armed gunmen and suicide bombers stormed a gurudwara in Afghanistan's Kabul on March 25. All four terrorists were killed by the Afghan security forces.  Earlier, Indian intelligence agencies had hinted that the LeT and  Haqqani network could be responsible for the attack on Sikhs in Afghanistan. Afghanistan government too had blamed the Haqqani for the terror attack while the Taliban denied its role. Indian government strongly condemned the attack and extended condolences to the immediate family members of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. "India stands ready to extend all possible assistance to the affected families of the Hindu and Sikh community of Afghanistan," the government said in a statement. https://www.timesnownews.com/international/article/islamic-state-khorasan-chief-mawlawi-abdullah-mastermind-behind-kabul-gurdwara-attack-arrested/573921
