I wonder what our women think about these hipster beards, now with all these western men growing long beards.

For years they have been.stating their preference for clean shaven.

Are beards suddenly attractive now that white guys are growing theirs?

Who cares what they think. Again, shallow.

This is very important on the spiritual path.

But there is also external rehit. And there is also the worldly path. As sikhs we are meant to be successful in both.

You cant tell spiritual beginners, that nothing matters. Everything and Everyone is one.

It will not enlighten them but leave them lost and defenseless against maya and the predatory ppl.

This is what the west is doing, telling kids there is no gender, its all a man made construct. This leaves kids lost and confused.

Money is also a man made concept. But very real and important.

Once kids understand gender, money and how it works in the world. Only then can you explain its real value is nothing and how ephemeral it is.

Similarily, external rehit is important. It helps with the internal rehit esp in the beginning when the internal rehit is weak. The states you are talking about are goal posts where we hope to be someday. Seeing everyone as brother, sisters, seeing the one in all. They are not the beginning. Of course we should strive for that, but we will fail many times.

Many sakhis illustrate that the gurus encouraged external rehit even in spiritually advanced people.

1. Baba Budha ji had reached brahmgian and sikhs complained that baba budha ji no longer came to the river to do ishnaan. Guruji showed the sikhs that ganga itself came to bathe babaji. But still guruji told babaji  that he should still go to the river to fo ishnaan. even though he did not need it, rehit was important to keep up. So as to not discourage other sikhs on the paath and to follow the gurus hukum.

2. The third guru had outlawed veils for woman. And stated all women must uncover their face when doing darshan. Some princess did not follow this rule and she faced dire consequences. (From what i remember she went crazy). So you see the Guru did care about personal appearances. And telling women not to wear a veil was huge as it was common in hindus and muslims.

Lest you think this supports your view:

3. When Mata Bhago reached brahm gian, she woukd wear a kasher and nothing else. Guru ji also commanded her to cover herself, even though she was beyond the body and had no care of it. Guruji said its important to cover up.

Also, while we control our lust, evolve our psychology and move forward, its important to get young people to ask themselves why they are following harmful societal trends. Why they think dressing inappropriately is important to them, what motivated them?

Because we have a duty to not only our soul, but to the panth as well. To help it stay niara (unique) from society and in chardi kaka ( uplifted from the maladies that affect normal society)

For a spiritual beginner, the first law is speak the Truth, and Nirboah and Nirvair. Fear no one and Hate none, because Hes everyone everything everywhere, All Pervading. Fear and hatred will be replaced with an Unconditional Love.

Without the application of these basic laws, we’re lost. Before you don clothing Claiming to be a Sikh, accept this gyan. Or there’s no point....You’re living in Ego from the get go.

Can you answer the question, which was asked, couple of days ago.  Can you read and understand Gurbani in Gurmukhi?  This question is very important because English translations of Gurbani do not do justice to what Gurbani is saying.  Before running away out of frustration and anger you refused to answer this question.  Also in your rage you disrespected Gurbani by joining two separate panktis, which are on completely separate angs into one. Since you are back.  We would like you to answer this question.

The girls that choose to wear clothing that reveal the body also have to do another thing that is against gurmat.  They remove hair from the body.  All these girls wearing sleeveless tops are removing armpit hair.  They use various methods to remove body hair to fit into their new western society.   Yet they want to run Sikh societies in universities.  The most simplest requirement to be a Sikh is let the hair grow.  You don't have to do anything. However,  these girls go out of their way to make sure the most simplest requirement of being a Sikh is not followed.  They hate the very hair on their body.  How can such girls teach others to not be hateful.  They fear society response to keeping hair.  They fear wearing respectable clothing by Gurbani standards because that's dressing like a extremist muslim.  When did Gurbani standards become the Muslim way! The simplest truth is to accept that the body has hair.

    • I saw the video on TikTok I think. It was at Wembley Stadium and I was unable to bookmark/favourite it because Tiktok decided to refresh. It was the "mainstream" Chaupai Sahib you will hear at a Singh Sabha gurdwaras, usually so-called Ramgarhia gurdwaras and also for the past 100 year or so in Harimandir Sahib under the current committee system.  In other words, the sikhs who give up or quit at Lord of the Almighty Sword, provides a shield for my protection. With Your Hands you have saved me. You bestow help on me at all places and rescue me from pain and the designs of my demons.401. Kharag kait mai sarann tihaaree. Aap haath dai leho ubaaree. Sarab thor mo hoho sahaaee. Dustt dokh té leho bachaaee. (25) O The Lord of Sword, I seek Your protection. With Your Hands you have guarded me. At All Times be my Support. Save me from wickedness and pain. (25).
    • Bro, can you post from what line to what line they did paath of?
    • A decade later and I can show you all what the problem is. Both Khalsa Primary School and students from Pioneer Secondary Academy were invited for Vaisakhi celebrations, and they done a Chaupai Sahib paat. The problem is, they performed the politics ridden anti-dasam Bhasauria mutilated cut version of Benti Chaupai which is disrespectful to traditional puraatan samrpadaiye and mahapurakh. If bani politics is going to be used on children to skip lines from Dasam Pita ji dhan dhan Guru Gobind Singh ji's Benti Chaupai Sahib, that certain groups think it is ok to do, then @serious guptwas right to raise concerns a decade ago! IN 2024, when sangat is much more knowledgable about dasam bani and katha, when we have so many resources - then if we are not allowing our children to learn bani shud and let them choose their groups to follow later, then this raises RED FLAGS IN 2024!!!! AKAAAAL!
