Three men have been arrested in the West Midlands over a high-profile murder in India in 2009.

Rulda Singh, who was leader of a political group in India, was fatally shot in Patiala, in Punjab.

West Midlands Police said officers had arrested two men, aged 37 and 40, in Coventry and a 38-year-old man in Wolverhampton.

The force said all three had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Mr Singh, who was in his 60s, died two weeks after being shot outside his home in Patiala.

The three men were arrested on Monday after extradition warrants were issued at Westminster Magistrates' Court.

West Midlands Police said all three appeared at the court as part of the extradition process.

They have since been released on bail with strict conditions.

Yes, that's right, they were traitors to the Sikh empire and the General dyer meeting is true as well. Harsimran Badal is a descendant of that family, now she is married into the Badal clan, you

From what I remember, right after that General Dyer bloke did the massacre at Jallianwala Bagh, he went to majithias place to stay and have dinner. During British rule, it was these people in charge o

Woah, this is actually extremely sad.

But the murder was in 2009, why are they doing something about it now, 11 years after?

because bojo has not demanded the release of jaggi and in fact has allowed priti to reverse given sanctuary to his wife , the rss are now emboldened to demand more falsely charged sikhs as sacrifices for trade

yes just like the hundreds of falsely charged sikhs sitting in jails across India.  Rulda was murdered by internal RSS beef with competitors and this is a known fact in India .

What if they did it, and they're happy to admit it?

A high proportion of those seem to be those living outside of Punjab/urbanites , the types who wear multicoloured pagri and wear India tops and sit in crowds at Indian national cricket team matches

Jaggi is a political prisoner. He's a victim of geopolitical maneuvering. His arrest and incarceration leaves no doubt as to India's policy against its critics.

This particular case is different. What if these Singhs undertook this seva, and aren't afraid of the consequences? You can't say, "Muh false encounter!" if the Singh's themselves say, "Yeah, it was us." I'm not saying THEY'VE said that yet, BUT if it turns out to be the case, it's going to make us look silly, AND will harm the impression of cases such as Jaggi's which are clear cut injustices.

I'm surprised by how many Sikhs support BJP, to the point where they will distort Sikh so it fits their political views. A few days back I watched a video of a "Singh" with a trimmed beard in Delhi narrating in Hindi how three "hindus" Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das and Bhai Dhyala, gave their life for Guru Tegh Bahadir Ji. I was just speechless. Just that one sentence was wrong in so many ways.

Watched another video on one of those BJP.RSS type of Youtube Channels where another Singh with a trimmed dhari was invited to chat with two Hindus how the British had influenced/altered Sikhi by moving it away from its Hindu origins and how before the British got there Harmandir Sahib had idols of Vishnu etc

Social media is full of BJP loving Sikhs who are distorting Sikhi to fit their political views, much like Western "Sikhs" that are distorting Sikhi so it fits their moral-less way of life.

In India the distortion is mostly to fit their political agenda, while in the west "Sikhs" distort it to fit their depraved ways.

    • Why do you want to see them? Do they make an effort to get in touch with you everyday? If not, would that suggest they no longer care?
    • I've always had a deep problems with folks accepting things like obe's, mbe's , awards from Lizzie etc.  Apart from the fact that you kneel before royals to accept them (I thought us Sikhs only bowed to Maharaj ).. you also kneel before what those people represent and kind of take an oath to them. Many of these folks who drone on about racism , empire etc...can't run fast enough to pick up their 'awards' from that very establishment (empire). Very hypocritical.  Suppose Arungzeb's ancestors were around, would you you be cool with accepting a Member of the Mughal Empire ? If you look at what the British did to the Sikh Raj and to our systems and beliefs it's not far off Arungzeb's , in fact Id say the British did a better job at weakening Sikhi. As for this 'celebration' of Sikhs fighting for the British in world wars etc... The reason was that the British paid well. Go to India not a single statue or commemoration of 'indians' who fought for the British. But you have loads of statues for Bose and his Indians (including plenty of Sikhs) who fought against the British interests in ww2.  These awards by the establishment basically are awards for compliance and a nudge nudge wink wink that you'll toe the establishment line going forward. I personally have an infinite amount of respect for folks like Benjamin Zephaniah who stick to their principles, rather than selling their souls to the lot who killed and persecuted our ancestors    https://www.theguardian.com/books/2003/nov/27/poetry.monarchy
