From what I've seen myself (and from other's experiences on youtube),  seeing these characteristics in a person particularly infuriates narcs, and they seek to destroy such people psychologically because they are jealous that are incapable of experiencing such things.

I think we have our fair share at least. When I read the brilliant Sikh Revolution by Jagjit Singh, he alludes to the above when he says that later corruptions in the panth came because the earlier spiritually/ideologically motivated Khalsa (dasmesh pita's Singhs) mostly got shaheed, and another more self-serving type came into prominence in their wake "sardars"). 

I often feel like all the emphasis on selfless sewa, decentred simran and a myriad other things in Sikhi seem exactly designed to combat and counter the very narcissistic traits we are talking about? It's like an attempt to recondition the mind/spirit against this way of thinking and acting?

Then when they have what they want they will drop you like a piece of trash . I've seen so many empathetic people getting caught out by such scumbags .

This one seems a good example of a narcissist. And I agree, these types who wouldn't hesitate to tell you they are Sikh if asked, should drop Singh or Kaur from their surname and choose something else

I do see your valid point esp other kids are better than your own and drilling it in them. But these things are damaging and can take place it any community.
