With each generation this average does down and down hence the reason that a family with 2-3 acres will sell them all and try and get their son or daughter to migrate to Australia or Canada and after that the whole family could migrate there as well. Those can want to stay in India tend to sell their land in Punjab which can fetch a higher price and buy triple or even quadruple the number of acres for the same amount in Madhya Pradesh or Rajasthan.
