We do. Gurbani is very clear who to associate with, talk to, eat, what to do, and how to do Anand Karaj, and with who, and how to avoid the Kurehits and defeat the Panj Chor, becoming phsycially and spiritually successful over Kalyug. Maya itself.

The issue like @Jacfsing2 said is we don't seem able to seperate Punjabism and Castism and culturally toxic garbage etc from being a Sikh. Part of that is our fault but there are several groups pushing everything in that direction. Some specifically targetting Sikhs and others the world as a whole. 

However Sikhi has built in the system of being Mona, Sehajdhari, Keshdhari, and Khalsa. And...atheist tag alongs, relatives, and infiltrators. 

so when it comes to Kakkars, only Khalsa and those other Sikhs who act appropriately enough, should publically wear Kakkar. And those people who do wear them, or wear Saroop, but are not really Sikhs or demonstrating Gurmat lifestyle, they should be pressured to remove them.

Have you heard of himanshi khurana. Panjabi Sikh Singer/actress. Really pretty. She used to post about Singhs cutting their kes and Guru Ji on her ig. She went on Big Boss India, was in  drama with another Panjabi singer Shenaz Gill..these two hate each other. She had Panjabi Sikh bf and she left him for muslim kashmiri actor.
