"Sunny Hundal is the editor of the online magazine Asians in

Media. He also manages the group blog Pickled Politics, covering global current affairs and politics from a progressive standpoint. As a journalist and commentator he has written for the Guardian, the Independent and the Financial Times on media and race-related issues.

An ardent environmentalist and liberal, he is a vegetarian and cares strongly about the oppression of people and the degradation of nature." - source

"cares strongly about the oppression of people" <<-- this made me laugh. He claims to come from a Sikh family yet everything he has ever said is always against Sikhs and even his articles and posts about 1984 has always been anti-sikh and in support of his Indian circle of bum chums. So much for "cares strongly about the oppression of people". He was the same twat who defend that wench gurpreet bhatti (the playwritter of bezthi) after the bham theatre protests. This man is a disgrace and a jumped up, irrelevant gimp who strives for some stories, which he can sensationalise with his contacts in the media. In my opinion he is nothing more than a punjabi version of Kim "racist twat" Bolan. He and his like create more problems than solves for the Sikh, Asian and wider UK communities.

Oh and he posts and monitors this website also, so I won't be suprised if he replies to this thread or comments about it on his on sites (http://www.pickledpolitics.com, http://www.barficulture.com, http://www.asiansinmedia.org/)

Here's some of his articles. I think he doesn't like Sikhs, looks like he thinks we're all stupid! He's just a wannabe journalist!

The topic is being discussed at http://www.sikhsangat.com/index.php?showtopic=18012&st=48. Whilst this site does seem to be a meeting point for these internet warriors you may find it useful to get any info regarding if/when any “action” will be taken by these ‘twats’.”

Hmmm yh i ve been on these boards for a while and ive never met any twats rolleyes.gif .

sikh supreme

Are you going to organise a campaign against him? Maybe fire up a lynchmob?

Why do some Sikhs act with such immaturity in Britain today? Such irrationality and violence and hatred?

Shall we add him to a list of our 'enemies' who must be destroyed?

Sikhs are fast getting a reputation of being 'Mini Muslims' in Britain today - that is, intolerant, violent, fanatical. Your attitude is partly responsible for that. When Sikhs the world over struggle to show that they live dignified lives and are not to be associated with Islam or the extremities of Islam, some Sikhs are ready to use foul language which a decent Sikh should never resort to and act like Muslim fundamentalists declaring people to be 'traitors' (and what do 'traitors' deserve?) just because you disagree with them.

Yes, Sikhism is being given the image of an intolerant, violent and fanatical creed by some people. God help Sikhs in isolated places who have to deal with the negative image we already have.

Hahahah are you serious???

I have to get some more info on this guy since judging from his 'Pickled Politics' crap i find it hard to believe that he has written anything for any of those papers mentioned.

If you made that judgement based on the people you've met on this board then i would like to say that quite a few of us on here are still at school thats why we are still immature at times. :@ ... well thats my excuse

Well done PREM...ur thoughts and comments are just what I wanted to say.

We have to accept people that some people won't like 'Sikhs', but we have to rise above their own misguided interpretation of Sikhi and show them we are proud Soldier-Saints, not Stupid-Sikhs.

No wonder this journalist has a twisted viewpoint of Sikhi....I mean with all the damned in-fighting, the so-called caste issues, the camps for and against Khalistan and the countless other groups and organisations within Sikhi....if you were an outsider woudnt you think, "Hang on, these Sikhs are supposed to be above the manmuk attributes of other religions, but look...they have just the same problems as every other religion, maybe even more so!".

Wake up people, there are always going to be those who don't like Sikhs. That doesnt mean we rant and rave about them...let them do what they want....we as Sikhs have to rise above their comments and show other how disciplined we are, how God-orientated we are, how LOVING we are to others.

THATS the essence of Sikhi (I think)....

Sorry if I offended anyone.

Unfortunately some adult sikhs are also capable of acting with immaturity and seem determined to act as 'Mini Muslims' mimicking the worst intolerances and fanatical stupidities of Muslim Fundamentalists. Sikhs in the West struggle to get recognition for their faith as peaceful and not related to Islam and yet still some people have a 'lynch mob' mentality. It is warped - people need to GROW UP and act RATIONALLY.
