Central News have just run a piece on the play cancellation. In the story they mentioned that the Birmingham Stage Company had said they would run a version of the play if the Rep pulled the plug on the the Preeto Batty play. The Brummie Stage company is based at the Old Rep in Brum. The arty brigade are crying their socks off at the so called censorship. Like to see them try and write such a play based at a Mosque.

Waheguru ji kekhalsa, waheguru ji ke fateh Pyare jio, the recent events have highlighted so many issues for us Sikhs. No matter how much effort, we still have a lot of difficulty communicating effectively and getting our point across. Worse still, if anything can be, is the way in which fingerpointing between Sewa Singh and Sikh Federation in the Times newspaper showed our lack of common sense and unity. It is disappointing our leaders are trying to save themselves, rather than standing and conveying our stand on this play in a united manner. For many years, youth have highlighted the need for one Uk organisation to represent the Sikhs. Instead what we have is numerous…

VJKK VJKF THIS is some mind-blowingly beautiful slow soothing keertan!!!!! If you loved the acapella stuff before... u will adore this... http://www.sikhifm.com/pl_veermanpreetsingh.htm Veer Manpreet Singh is an amazing young and talented keertani who is currently in the UK as a Granthi at Ramgharia Sikh Temple in Wolverhampton City. Due to the lack of sangat that goes there, Manpreet Singh jumps at the chance to do satsang and keertan wherever theres an event. You can feel the huge amount of pyaar he has for Sikhi in his keertan. He has earned the respect of so many youths in Wolverhampton for his fantastic keertan, his overwhelming knowlege, his excellent communic…

Following the cancellation of the play, both Guru Nanak Gurudwara, (Smethwick), and Edward Street Gurudwara, (West Brom), received a bomb scare and had to be evacuated. Also the 3 Sikh Councillors, involved in protesting against the play have also received death threats. It looks like this situation is getting out of control
