Dhan Guru Dhan Guru Pyarai If you serve others in your life, you get the honor of respect at the Abode of the Almighty. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji -Ang 25 A poor person's mouth is the Creator's treasure chest. -Suraj Parkash "Humility is my mace; Touching The dust on the feet of the people, my spear These weapons no-evildoer can withstand, The Master, all-endowed, has armed me with these" Bhagat Puran Singh Ji (1904-1992) - Refuge of the Destitute Bhagat Puran Singh Ji worked in complete selflessness all his life to provide the last hope to mentally and terminally ill patients; where society had cast them aside he gave them the refuge of his care. Bhagat Ji care…

I don't want to disrespect any Granthi, because a paapi like me has no right to say anything about Gursikhs who devote their tan and man to Guru sahib. I am a big moorakh who has a question for the sangat: In Gurughar, sometimes the granthi reading from SGGS mumbles gurbani and reads so fast that it is incomprehensible, i mean I can catch a word here and there like , NAAM, PRABH, ETC...To a point doesn't it become ritualistic, because the whole point of Gurughar is to sit in the sangat and listen to Dhur Ki Baani so our thick headed skulls can conquer some hankaar...if that Dhur ki baani is not spoken clearly and loudly what is the sangat supposed to absorb, it's like I…

Gur Fateh! I would like to start a topic on the broad subject of the Devi or Goddess in world spiritual and religious traditions. This discussion is intended to expand to cover the role of the Divine Mother, historically in all traditions, an examination of the inter-relationship with femininity, art, culture, politics and such like and finally the impact of this today. Some my ask the relevance of such a discussion on a Sikh Forum, however, if we consider that in the Sri Guru, frequent references are made to Vaheguru as both female and male [Har Ji Pita, Har Ji Mata –Anand Sahib M3] and other times purely as female, and even more so in the Sri Dasam Granth [Kirpa ka…

Vaheguru Ji ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh Sat Sri Akal In punjab there are 738 girls born to 1000 boys it's disgraceful. the guru's preached against the sati system and infant deaths. iN PUNJAB THE POLICE FOUND A PRIVATE CLINIC WHICH HAD A WELL OF FEMALE Foetus' In amritsar the SGPC have set up places where you give the famale babies to but even this doesn't improve the problem. The only way we need to stop is to spread this message through the sikh community so this never happens again. People say that embryo screening is banned in India but it isn't you and i know that in Punjab you can do anything. Even in the UK you can go to a private clinic and find what se…

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! Guru Nanak Academy The Gurmat Studies Foundation had a vision of such an institute in North America that would train children, youth, and adults about Sikhism. Through the Guru's blessings that vision has turned into reality with the Guru Nanak Academy. The academy is a place where children and youth learn the basics of Sikhism while training adults to become Sikh preachers. Our main goal is to educate society about the Sikh Faith and to build preachers for the future. The academy offers courses on Gurmukhi, Gurbani Santhiya, and Santhiya of Larrivar Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Saheb Ji. We have also started a seperate c…

Ok so baisically what I'm trying to find out is who actually wrote ardaas? I know tum tahkur tum pahe ardaas was written by Guru Arjan dev ji in Sukhmani Sahib. At the beginning of ardaas it says; Vaar Sree Bhagautee jee kee Paatshaahee Dassveen, So I thought that It must be written by Guru Gobind Singh Ji, but How can it be written by Guru ji if It talk's about thing's that have happened after his time, for example it talks about Bhai taru singh but he was martyred after Guru ji died? I'm confused :s Also who wrote Ageya pai akaal ki?
