Vanilla essence/extract contains alcohol 1 2 3

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh It has recently come to my notice that vanilla essence and/or vanilla extract (which is a widely used product in ice creams, chocolates, cookies, cereals, etc.) contains alcohol/ethanol. Vanilla extract is made with vanilla pods in a solution of ethanol and water. So, is it ok from Amritdharis to consume foods that contain vanilla essence?

Many great initiatives by Youth have been taken and proving to be beneficial to the Sangat. Veechar Screens with the Banee being sung and veechar in English are being implemented by Youth GurSikhs all over the world during Samaagams etc. What a blessing. Dear New Generation Educated RehitVaan NishKhaam GurSikhs, • 1) Where these screens are being used with Gurbaanee, please have the Baanee in Lareevar. In my opinion perhaps we can separate the words of the Shabad with different colors. This way we are not separating …

Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa VAheguroo Ji Ki Fateh. I'm looking looking for answers but would appreciate sangat's views. I'm an Amritdhaari and thinking of becoming a vegan. On a journey home from work it just hit me how much sense it makes to become vegans, and that it's still disturbing that we are still using animal products as vegetarians. So this is something (Guroo Kirpa) I 100% see my self doing in the future. My only concern is what about at the Gurdwara and stuff? I doubt many Gurdware have vegan friendly Degh and langar and stuff. Should I not accept Degh? Views please. Vaheguroo.

Vegetarian Diet 1 2
by Guest _learner singh wanna- 13 replies

hello i have recently started eating a vegetarian diet. I dont understand why we arent allowed to eat eggs but can drink milk?? Both are from animals, life isnt killed in the production of either. Somebody said that milk is different to eggs because it is essential for our diet (babies need milk to grow and develop) however, babies whom are lactose intolerant, therefore allergic to dairy products safely have soya milk as an alternative, which is derived from plants. Eggs produced by chickens are non fertilised, and like milk production are a natural process for the animal. If we choose not to eat becuase of the living conditions and use of hormones on these animals, …

Vegetarianism & Leather/fur/snake Skin/wool Etc 1 2 3 4

Sangat Ji, A question that has been on my mind for many years ... I have seen many people turn towards Sikhi and adopt several lifestyle changes such as diet - vegetarianism, consumption of food that does not contain elements such as gelatine, egg, animal fat etc. But then why do they still choose to wear clothing/shoes that are produced by harming animals? Why do they still use products that are produced by harming animals? I see brothers and sisters, even those who have been blessed blessed blessed with Khande Di Pahul, who still choose to wear leather timberlands, wool jumpers, scarves, gloves, leather boots, gloves, trainers, hang leather khanda gloves in the car…
