I have a major problem at a sangat i have been going too. People have been talking about me behind my back and people actualy phoned each other to tell them to let their children know not to talk to me. One aunti ji actualy told me that i am Bad sangat and than i should basicaly iscolate myself from everyone there. I am just getting on this path but every time i get close I just get driven away by what these sangat people do. I don't even know whats wrong with me these past few weeks. I'm taking courses in my college, but I feel so drained and so unmotivated. I used to be a great student, one of the most competitive in my class and now I'm doing just enough to get by. I would rather go online and listen to kirtan or katha, or practice kirtan on my own...thats practically the only time when my mind concentrates and focuses. i used to be a really good gursikh.. i woke up at amritvela everyday and did bani, would never even consider considering the idea of cutting my kes or eating meat.. etc, etc... but recently things hav changed and i barely do mool mantar once a month...... ive made a LOT of stupid mistakes and ive screwed up really bad i dont know what to do and i have know idea whats going to happen now i need to fix my life and get back on the path to god but everytime i try to do bani, my mind wanders to stupid things and i cant concentrate....its so frustrating! ive even almost considered cutting my kes! this is really getting bad and i need help now...before its too late

What do you do when you want to wear a dastaar but your mum doesn't? Both my parents are Amrit-dhari but mum doesn't wear a dastar (please dont make this a debate about which amrit is better now). I dont want it to seem as though I'm telling her she's wrong (indirectly) by wearing a dastar once I take Amrit. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
