  1. India has just released the Termin-bhaiya 1.0. The Chinese are quaking in their boots.

  2. I honestly feel Khalistan should be among the last states formed once India starts breaking up and not the first. Hang on, the reason I say this is because I cannot comprehend a bloody holocaust that is a combination of the tragedies Sikhs have already faced in 1947 and 1984, i.e. a holocaust that is worse than both these previous ones. Think about it, when other states have already broken away on the basis of language or culture or whatever reason, people would have become used to the idea of freedom and of various distinct identities. In fact, for the first time ever Indians may (just may) start respecting each other's diversity, and could (for once) dispose off the retarded notion that we're first Indian and then Hindu/Muslim/Sikh/Christian. In such an atmosphere, the rise of Khalistan as a sovereign Sikh state will be looked upon with acceptance by other Indians as they too would have broken off by then. Wait, I am not saying Sikhs should be a scared minority fearing for their lives, fearing bloodshed, fearing loss of property and wealth etc. No, we've been through the worst already. What I am saying is that once Khalistan arises in the midst of an entity that is already going through a "subcontinent spring" (such as the Arab Spring, lol), the mindset of the general masses would have changed, and it wouldn't be what it was like in 1947 or 1984 (just a speculation added with wishful thinking for a country like India). I would also want Pakistan broken as they cannot be trusted for a single day once Khalistan has become a reality. West Punjab can remain an entity separate from Khalistan but it should not be Pakistan. Sindh, Baluchistan, Pakhtunkhwa should all be independant entities, thereby lessening the chances of a larger Pakistan causing any trouble for us in future. They might be our Punjabi brothers, but these same Punjabi "brothers" have shown their warm brotherhood to us in 1947 and all those wars they had with India. So its better if their power is comparatively reduced than it is now, for our own good. You don't want the red-capped Jaahil Hameed jumping towards Khalistan moaning Ghazwa-E-Hind on the top of his voice.

  3. In a nutshell muhammad was a man of his times 7h century arabia where the voice or rights of women were not really to be considered worthy of taking note. So we cant say he is a total mad and bad man or a total saint he was just doing the best for his people at the times he was living in. But no way can we say Islam or other abrahmic religions are superior to Sikhi. Sikhism is just common sense and virtually everyone can become a Sikh if they want to find God even if they are of a different religion at the moment. When muslims start to fundamentally start to question their faith rather than blind following like a sheep and asking so called mullahs, imams and sheikhs for advice then they will start to break free from the islamic mind control they have been born into. A religion that does not allow a person to leave that religion freely is not a Godly inspired religion rather its more of a personality death cult, which why the british ministers and historians of the past used to refer to muslims as muhammadans because they saw how muslims revere muhammad like he was some kind of God when he was actually nothing of the sort. What ever muhammad desired allah of the quran (that he supposedly communicated with) conveniently said its halal for him, funny that. Eg... muhammad had 9 wives yet his followers can only have 4 wives yet muslims are ordered to follow his example how can they when he had 9 wives and he only permitting 4 for you? isnt this unequal, unfair and hypocrisy? Do as I tell you and not do as i do comes to mind

  5. Guru ji says the veil / pardah is haram therefore it is not jiyaz for us. Also it makes women inferior in eyes of everyone and resigned to a position of a backseat observer in the world. This is why in afghanistan and saudi (2 muslim countries that introduced shariah islamic law) that muslim women suffered the most and have long campaigned for better human rights and freedoms but they are up against Islam because islam permits virtually everything the man wants of his woman and women only have a fleeting say in any matter. Contrast this with Sikh teachings and I think any unbiased sane person would agree Sikhism is a more just and more spiritual deen treating all humans in the same one light that they were created.

  7. A brilliant and a very key point you mention. This is where the Sikh politicians in Canada and UK will have to play their part in a wise way. Whatever it takes, we WILL need some sort of help from the West in terms of politics, diplomacy, not too sure about arms. So the next question comes to mind, who would want to stand by the Sikhs on a local/regional/global level? Pakistan is a no-no. China: too selfish, and since we at the moment don't have anything to offer them in exchange, they won't be of any help either. Iran: forget about it. Countries that broke from USSR: oh te aap bhukhe marde sadda ki svaarna ohna ne, lol. The closest allies I can see are Sikhs in places like Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. The further ones I would say Germany, UK, Canada, possibly even USA. So now some more cards on the table, what else do we brainstorm about?

  8. Pretty much agree with this argument. Think we as a Sikh brotherhood worldwide need to get our house in order first before we put serious funds into khalistan politicians in india. We do not have any credible khalistan political force there at the moment thats why majority of Sikhs do not vote for pro-khalistan parties. Mr Simranjit maan does his best but he is a spent force and has not groomed younger more educated and political intelligent leaders to take his place... he is not a savy politician tho his heart is in the right place but his political skills are laughable. What needs to happen first is a manifesto needs to be drawn up to show what a Khalistan would provide for the people compared to what their lives are like under the Indian union govt control then other arguments can be made to win people over. The desire for Khalistan is strong in punjabi Sikhs but when it comes to voting they are less likely to vote for a khalistan party if it can not assure a better life for them after the democratic mandate of independence has been achieved. As for pakistan breaking up and indian union states breaking away first, while Sikhs wait.....that would be a wise move but would take possible 50years or more.... time is a luxary we dont have. So what are the alternatives.... the best alternative is as you say an indian or should i say desi spring where both pakistan and india have populations rising up to preserve their own ethnic cultural identity and way of life. Evidently such uprising will turn violent and that is where the Sikhs should be ready to fight for their own nation state by forging alliances with major global and regional powers.

  9. Dear Pakistani Punjabi Brother, I have gone through all the web-sites you point above, including lengthy discussion video's between David Wood, Sam Shannon on 1 Side and Imam's, Sami Zaafari etc. on other sides, discussions going for more than 1 hour 30 mins. What I see is David Wood etc. are to the point, make quotes in order to prove their point, however the web-sites you point above have no quotes as evidences to make their point, it is just statements. As a Christian missionary, David Wood and his companions will do all they can to be ANTI-<ANY-OTHER-RELIGION-EXCEPT-CHRISTIANITY>, so they are doing their job, but in order to prove them wrong, the need is to put down facts in order with specific quotes/history. I will go back again, the URL I pasted earlier, http://www.answering-islam.org/Authors/Wood/women.htm lists 4 FACTS, can you provide your comments on these 4 FACTS? FACT #1: The Qur’an allows (or, perhaps, commands) men to beat their wives into subservience. FACT #2: According to Muhammad, women lack common sense because their minds are deficient. FACT #3: Muhammad offered women little hope for the afterlife. FACT #4: The Qur’an permits Muslims to have sex with their female captives and slaves (i.e. those "whom their right hands possess"). Please Note, the above listed FACTS are quoted from the web-site listed above, with specific quotes, and are not my quotes/opionions. Please provide your view/opinion to each of the FACT listed above.

  10. Ok you say the post was edited OK fine.... So answer me then : I have some Muslim friends I go to their home on eid coz they call me to celebrate... I am against some religions but i still luv humans.... So I have some friends in Muslims both girl and boys. I have seen in their homes : 1) When women are having their menstruation, They are termed as impure. In ur language NAAPAK - Why? 2) Why they are not allowed to enter in Mosque? Ya i know they can visit Dargah... But y not Mazzid? 3) Why women should wear Burkha but Men are allowed to roam freely? 4) Why men is allowed to do 4 marriages ... they can keep wives simultaneously - Do u know how women feels when she sees her Husband sleeping with other women. 5) Saying Talakh Talakh Talakh for three times ur marriage brokes... So weak is ur process which do not care about women - Where will she go and what will she do? 6) U can get married to ur sisters and borthers - That means u cant even trust ur brother if he is staying with u? 7) U people keep women in Pardah but how many of u keep her in Pardah in Bed? I have seen this practically - I am not saying all these on the basic of Internet information - I dont have any harsh feeling for u... But yes the system is corrupt...... If u compare this with Christains - U will see they are enjoying more freedom as compared to Islamic culture Nowaday.... In Hindus there are many restrictions on women but u will be glad to know it is changing drastically. I think Mandir allows women to enter and worship all the Main God and Goddess they have like Ram/Krishna/Hanuman/Mataji etc... Even i go to mandir near my home coz its very beautiful,, No one restrict me to enter.... Yes there are some Mandirs which restricts the enterence of women but majority of them are not doing so,,,, And About Gurudwara U know it very well.... Women are allowed to worship Guru in any way and in any situation. :D Every religion is changing with time but yes Islam is same........!! U know few days back i went to Dargah with my friend, She wanted to have some medicine from a pir baba...She asked me would u like to come. I said yeah Y not.. I luv to visit religious places but i dont worship i just visit to see how they praise God , I went there with her.... When we went to meet Pir ji in Dargah While my friend was busy talking about her problems with that pir..But that pir was looking at me and my kirpan. After sometime i started to stare him he was not able to look at me....When my friend suggested me to ask anything from that pir If i was having some problem that pir can solve it... I said no i dont have any problem - letz go.. while going out i looked back to that pir and he was having a expression his face which was like that if he was caught in some trouble and was relaxed as soon as we moved... I suggested my friend to go to doctor rather then pir... I am not saying that pir are not good. I am just saying that its better to pray to Allah then to make a human ur Allah :D

  11. Come on Pakistani bro u can't accuse the Quran of being the work of Christians, can you? The Holy Quran on Women "They ask you about menstruation. Say: 'It is an indisposition. Keep aloof from women during their menstrual periods and do not approach them until they are clean again; when they are clean, have intercourse with them whence God enjoined you....'" Quran 2:222, "The Cow," "Women are your fields: go, then, into your fields whence you please." Quran 2:223, "The Cow," "Men have authority over women because God has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend their wealth to maintain them. Good women are obedient. They guard their unseen parts because God has guarded them. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and forsake them in beds apart, and beat them." Quran 4:34, "Women," "A male shall inherit twice as much as a female." Quran 4:11, "Women," "Call in two male witnesses from among you, but if two men cannot be found, then one man and two women whom you judge fit to act as witnesses..." Quran 2:282, "The Cow," "If you fear that you cannot treat with fairness, then you may marry other women who seem good to you: two, three, or four of them. But if you fear that you cannot maintain equality among them, marry one only or any slave-girls you may own." Quran 4:3, "Women," "If you are in doubt concerning those of your wives who have ceased menstruating, know that their waiting period shall be three months. The same shall apply to those [of your wives] who have not yet menstruated." Quran 65:4, "Divorce," Forbidden to you are married women, except those whom you own as slaves." Quran 4:24, "Women,"

  12. Muslim women cover their heads and body seems like a good thing. Nothing wrong with observing modesty. But what I find strange is when the Muslim woman is observing her religion, her husband next to her is clean shaven and uncovered head(nanga sir). It just looks like a mismatch to me. Hijaab is okay, but Burqa/Niqaab is something that is not right. The whole point of Burqa or Niqaab is that men should not look at the woman. But if you ever see a woman in the west wearing the Niqaab over her face, EVERYONE will stare at her. So in the west atleast, the wearing of the Niqaab defeats the purpose it is meant for. Just yesterday I saw a Muslim couple walking down the street, the woman wore a niqaab covering her face while her husband walking next to her was clean shaven and wearing western clothing. Nothing on him would indicate he was even a Muslim yet he makes his wife observe modesty. That is just not right. If the woman is practicing her religion so should the man.

  13. Your inner real self is your true best freind..!! As far sangat goes stay in elder mature gursikhs and stay in sangat of mahapursh for further guidance. I myself have four friends in total in real life (two of them are monai)..i am pretty happy..even then i meet them rarely..local people hardly knows me..i hardly know them...more solitude the better if you want to get into bhagti. ..pro-actively meeting people or friends is last thing on my mind..after work i cannot wait to spend time with my mind - observe my thoughts - mediate...everything is do with your perception, in your perceptive thought world appears and on the reverse..in meditative contemplative thoughts there is nothing- no world, no freind, no foe, no problems..everything fold itself back in ongkar!!!!!!! Here is atam updesh from sant isher singh ji rara sahib wale: source: http://www.rarasahib.com/Isher3.htm Self Percept (Atam Updesh)Why are you so engrossed in worries? Why are you afraid of some one? Who may kill you? The soul is immortal; it neither dies nor takes birth. The present is here and now, the past is irrecoverable and the future will be good. Don't fret over the past and don't be worried about the future. The present is going on. Why do you cry? What did you lose? When you were born, what did you bring along, which has been lost? What did you produce which has been perished? It is here that you gained and it is here that you lose. The man comes to; and goes from world, empty handed. What you own today was not yours yesterday and will not be yours tomorrow. It does not and will not belong to anyone. You consider it your own and rejoice. This happiness of possession leads you to utter grief. Yours is this world. Start from where you feel to; stay where you desire and wind up where you want to. It has no beginning and no end. You don't fear anyone, but yourself. You are the fright and also the frightened. Change is the truth of life. What you consider as death is life in reality. In a moment a multi-millionaire is turned pauper. Give up the feeling of possession, great & the mean; differentiation of friend & foe. Then all is yours and you for everyone. Your corporeal being is a product of air, water and fire and it merges into the same leaving behind neither blood nor bones. Still yours existence remains the same. Then ponder over what you are. Wake up! and become the eternal sons of the Almighty. You are the great and unique manifestation of Nature's power. All the divine powers are possessed by you, like a tree hidden in the seed. In fact you don't fear anybody; you don't have any worry, suspicion, pain or grief. You are His dear ones. Surrender yourself completely to Him. Always, remember the "Waheguru" (God) to achieve salvation. Let your life be guided by the saying "Whatever God wills, is good". Be content with the will of God. Remember Him both in pleasure & pain. 14. One thing we cant allow in Khalistan is Dal Khalsa UK to spearhead the movement they are too close to pakistan and would alienate the hindu's and Sikh sects. They would be a disaster if they lead the movement. Dal Khalsa is like the shiv sena of Sikhism but dal khalsa doesnt even have the bite that shiv sena has at the moment so they like to shout alot to raise communal tensions as can be seen when they over exaggerate situations and over egg the pudding and thus lose credibility event after event that people dont really take things they say seriously any more.

Do you think the world will support us (what do we have when compared to India?), they will just lose valuble trade with India. It's great talking about it and imagining a Sikh land, but do you honestly think we can get a country? We can't even run gurdware without being at each others necks! People stealing from gurdwara golaks, imagine if they had a country.... Our leaders don't even go and stand with those who just want justice do you think they will stand with us when we demand a country?

  17. One thing is for sure: we can't be 'sache puttar' and then get left looking like idiots (when such alliances invariably turn sour sooner or later) when forging these alliances. We've got to be two steps ahead of any potential ally, because I can guarantee you THEY will be three steps ahead of us, lol. As long as the alliance is strong, then we should behave honourably, but when you get wind of chalakhiyan or betrayal, always consider your own side first, but equally don't make life-long enemies because you never know whose door you'll have to knock on in the future! Does this kind of mentality and approach sound like the kind of thing we're capable of? I'll reserve judgement on that, hahaha.

  21. That's sad. How come your family have not noticed that you have spent your entire day like this? They have a duty to help you and you can only get better with their support. You are too young to be wasting your life like this. Regarding counselling, it's best to continue going to the sessions rather than giving up. They say initially it feels worse as you open up to all your problems but then it gets better. Maybe your mental health needs to be assessed and you may need some kind of anti-depressants to lift your mood. I know that medication should be kind of like a last resort but maybe that's the only thing that will do the trick in your case. I understand that sometimes people don't have good friends that they can confide in, or maybe they can't talk to their teachers or family, but it's a real shame that you seem to have nobody to be able to share your concerns with. What you really need is a good friend or family member to help pull you out of this 'darkness'. You need someone to support you, either sit with you through counselling to make sure you attend the sessions or take you to the doctors and explain how you feel and talk to your teachers about your academic concerns. Maybe try calling some kind of organisation or charity or Sikh helpline in your country that can direct you to a local help point. You really need someone to help you because on here we are all just going round in circles. Maybe try writing a letter to your mum instead explaining how you feel if you find it too difficult to tell her in person.

  22. mostly youngsters sitting in western countries have strong fantasies of khalistan... Though i supported it in the past....being PRACTICAL now & reflecting on long term survival......the current model of khalistan sounds absurd to me. Why? 1)Sikhs are minority in punjab itself. Punjabis have drifted away from sikhi .(Live a proper 2-3 months in punjab to understand this point). So, a Sikh state with Sikhs being a minority? (5 Piare system will not and cannot be possible, as the authority wont be recognized) Seculars will rule, Sikhi will take a back seat. 2) A land locked country- will make trade difficult affecting the economy, leaving us with a poor economy. Not to mention lack of natural resources. Along with the under-educated current population. The sad thing is, Punjab was an agriculture society and still is one. This is the very reason Sikhs/Punjabis move out of India/Punjab alltotgether for greener postures abroad. 3)Punjabis/Sikh have endless bickering habbits with endless backbitting as we see in punjab. With such prevailing traits and senseless politicking, countries rarely develope vibrant economies. e.g: India (compared to China) 4)Corruption is deep rooted in desis,a progresive economy is not possible with hardcore corruption habbits. 5) Instability will be prevalent, with various Sikh "sectarianism" around.....they will also compete againts each other for political dominance/power. Lets be honest, people from various groups can even get along well on Sikhsangat, what to talk of in a Sikh state(?!?!?!). 6) Delhi Gurdwaras, Patna Sahib and Hazoor Sahib will be seperated from Panth permanantly. Whichever goverment controls it geographically will also control in politically, causing production of dubious hukamnamas and conflicts. Not to mention the Panth severe difficulties for doing yatra there. 7)Clowns sitting in western countries who talk about Khalistan(and ussually the only ones), if Khalistan is formed, majority wont move to it in the first place, who wants to leave the perks of developed western countries have to offer? (and move to a country whose major economy is still agriculture) list is endless,,,shall I continue? 8) The only proper place & Organized in Punjab is Chandigarh, that too is run by Central Gov. Shows lack of leadershil and resolve in Punjabis. Even if there is resolve to bring change, there is no MONEY because corruption eats it away. Ofcourse people are going to hate me, but I am just being PRACTICAL. do reflect on my points and reality.. Deep down I do hope the Khalsa Raaj Bhai Rama Singh jee talk about in his Autobiography comes true....

  24. Excellent post Mehtab Singh. The notion that massacres need to accompany the creation of new nations is not necessarily true. No massacres occurred when the Soviet union broke up or when the Slovaks parted with the Czechs. The Indian establishment is very adept at putting forward the belief that a break up would lead to massacres. It suits it's agenda to keep the people frightened of ever asking for freedom.

Reducing one body even to the size of an atom . Expanding one body to an infinitely large size. Becoming infinitely heavy. Becoming almost weightless. Having unrestricted access to all places. Realizing whatever one desires. Being undisturbed by hunger, thirst, and other bodily disturbances Hearing things far away Seeing things far away Moving the body wherever thought goes Assuming any form desired Entering the bodies of others Dying when one desires Getting soul out of body and then return at will knowing the past, present and future tolerance of heat, cold and other dualities being at different places at same time remaining unconquered by others These come prior to opening of dasam duar....so yogis sidhs used to stuck here and use these to get name and fame by helping people in good /bad ways.....but these doesn't give them peace of mind......whoever (lets call them Gursikhs/sants/mahapurkh) pass these stage and remains unaffected gets to dasam duar......and these nidhi/sidhis become their slaves then.........Sant mahapurkh follow Guru sahib's hukum on what ever they do (helping others).......they never do things by their own..............obvioulsy they have power to use them....but they follow Guru sahib's raza and hukum..... Dhan Dhan Baba Nand Singh ji - "if a person comes to us (sant/mahapurkh) to get some wish fulfilled, he might have to wait, but if he does ardas to Guru sahib and Guru sahib orders or asks us to help that person with his problem, and this hukum becomes priority for us" Elsyian Tree - paarjaat tree - it's the wish fulfilling tree (same as kamdhen cow)- it's in "heaven / swarag" but Gursikhs don't need this because their bachan come true anyways and also once they are in love with Guru sahib, they have no wishes/desires left, not even "mukti" - "raaj na chaho, mukt na chaho, mann preet charan kamlare" Panch shabad (anhad naad) is divine blissful "rasmai, never-ending holy music" heard after the dasam duar is opened...... bhul chuk maaf.....N30Singh ji can better explain this....

  27. This world and most of the religions discriminate between Males and Females - I am OP of this Thread I am a Female..... I question some religions of this world for the way they interpret women........... Buddhism Says: “Women can be the cause of great suffering. If desire is destroyed, there will be everlasting happiness. The dead snake and dog are detestable, But women are even more detestable than they are.” Christianity We can easily find quotations of women’s oppression from the Bible , for example, I Timothy 2.11-12, where it says “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” In Ephesian 5.22-24, Paul says, “Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as unto the Lord….” And further, “The head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man”…. Man is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.” The apostle Peter says (in I Peter 3.1-2,6) that let wives “be in subjection to your own husbands” and have “chaste conversation coupled with fear.” Judaism Even to this day many devout Jewish men recite in their prayers, “Blessed by God King of the universe that Thou has not made me a women.” Ecclesiasticus is simply rampant with religious edicts against women. According to Jewish tradition, a husband owns his wife as he owns a slave. To this day many husbands deny their wives any control over their property and their earnings. When she married, not only did the wife lose her property, she lost her personality also! Under Jewish law, a husband can divorce his wife any time. But a woman cannot without very strong reasons such as unfulfilled conjugal responsibilities. Worse still, a husband can desert his wife any time and then refuse to grant his wife a divorce. In this case she becomes an agunah – a chained woman. Neither can she divorce, nor can she remarry. In the US today there are maybe 1000-1500 such agunot while in Israel there are more than 15,000. Husbands blackmail their deserted wives for thousands of dollars, finally agreeing to a divorce.“ How is it that Jewish sisters everywhere tolerate this abuse, this persecution – this extreme injustice? Islam Ibn Al-Ghazzali, the famous Islamic theologian said that “The most satisfying and final word on the matter is that marriage is a form of slavery. The woman is man’s slave and her duty therefore is absolute obedience to the husband in all that he asks of her person.” Dr. Nawal Sa’dawi is a Muslim woman who has rebelled against her own religion and its oppression of women. She has written that it is not possible to talk about rights of women, “…since a woman under the Islamic system of marriage has no human rights unless we consider that a slave has rights under a slavery system. Marriage, in so far as women are concerned, is just like slavery to the slave, or the chains of serfdom to the serf.” Marriage is a kind of slavery, for the wife becomes the slave of her husband, and it is her duty absolutely to obey him in everything he requires of her…” Hinduism Young Hindu girls when given in marriage could be abandoned at will. Quoting from Manu Smrti IX.72: “Though a man may have accepted a damsel in due form, he may abandon her if she be blemished, diseased or deflowered, and (if she have been) given with fraud.” Such girls, thrown out by their husbands, led a pitiable life as outcastes of society. Yet Brahmin men were free to engage in debauchery with devadasis any time they wanted! Subscribing to Hinduism means being a “mindless male supremacist pig”! Sikhism Views of the Gurus Guru Nanak Guru Nanak broke the shackles of women by admitting them into the sangat (congregation) without any restrictions or reservations. Guru Nanak felt that his message was meant as much for women as for men. Guru Angad Guru Angad encouraged the education of all Sikhs, men and women. Guru Amar Das Guru Amar Das condemned the cruel custom of sati, female infanticide and advocated widow remarriage. Guru Amar Das also believed that women wearing veils (purdah) was demeaning. The Guru refused to meet the queen of Haripur or to allow any women into the congregation wearing a veil. Guru Hargobind Guru Hargobind respected women and declared, "women is the conscience of man". Guru Gobind Singh Guru Gobind Singh made the Khalsa initiation ceremony open to men and women alike, a woman being just as worthy. At the time of Amrit a man is given the name Singh meaning lion, the woman is given the name Kaur, meaning Princess. A Sikh women is an individual in her own right, she does not have to take her husband's name and is Kaur till her death. Guru Gobind Singh did not see any distinction between the Khalsa, men or women could keep the 5 K's. Guru Gobind Singh issued orders forbidding the Khalsa having any association with those that practiced female infanticide. Guru Gobind Singh also forbade Sikhs to exercise any proprietary rights over women captured in battle, they could not be kept as slaves or wives but were to be treated with the utmost respect. I AM A KAUR NOT A NORMAL FEMALE - I AM DAUGHTER OF THOSE GURU WHO ARE NOT BIASED - I ENJOY KEEPING MY HEAD IN THE LAP OF MY GURUS - I AM NOT HATED FOR WHAT I AM - I AM LUVED TO BE CALLED HIS DAUGHTER - Why should I bow my head in-front of those who think I am evil... :nono: :nono: Yes i will help those in need whether they are muslims/hindus/chritains etc. coz my Gurus taught me to do so.... please keep me away from such people who says I am evil/slave... I am not slave/evil I am a beautiful creation of Almighty. :D :yay: I AM BLESSED TO BE SIKH OF MY GURUS BY AKAL PURAKH :lol2: :lol2: :respect: :respect: WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHEGURU G KI FATEH

  28. Dear Pakistani Punjabi Brother, Thanks for educating us and posting a quote from Holy Quran, however, I am still unable to say A=B. Why? And if there are not two men [available], then a man and two women from those whom you accept as witnesses - so that if one of the women errs, then the other can remind her. WHY 2 women, why not 1 woman, Equality for woman will be there if WOMAN VOTE is considered similar to MAN VOTE? If one of the women errs, other can remind her!, this implies the core-pillars have an inbuilt saying, woman is more prone to error, is 50% less capabale to making a right decision as compared to a man. What if 1 man & 2 woman are the witness, and the 1 man who is the witness errs? Who will remind this man? This to me implies "woman is more prone to error", such as 50% more in probability as compared to a man, and is deficient in making a 100% correct decision.

  30. Yes the church was nearing construction. Sikhs approached commissioner, a civil servant, trying to convince him not to build it. It is generally believed that he had very bad nightmares in which shaheed singhs were appearing. He got frightened and then demolished this church. Also when it was nearing completion some masons died after falling from top. Not only that there was a palace like Bunga on south side of Harmandir sahib. It has disappeared now.

  31. That is what i had read about him till i got information otherwise. He died in 1962 a virtual lone heart.Had he been that involved in reform movement, he would have been at the forefront. That thread mentions some books on him. Especially from Jhabal family who had been at the forefront of sikh agitation. We all know there was a revered Nihung figure Sahib singh Kaladhari and we also know that nihungs were custodians of akal takhat till 1920. To say they were not there and are anti panthic is pure ridiculous. Those who live a simple life and have contributed immensely for panth are being termed as anti panthic that to without knowing how many Nihung sampardayes are there in India and how they contributed in akali movement of 1980s.

  32. The growth of Islamic extremist movements in the Central Asian republics postdate the collapse of the Soviet Union. Islam didn't cause the collapse of the Soviet Union, it was the collapse of the Soviet Union that allowed Islamic extremism to expand into those areas. The Soviets were quite good at keep the lid on Islam, they did it for over 70 years. You are placing too much importance on a Taliban controlled Afghanistan. They will be loathe to pick a fight with China which will be the case if they support the Uygers. They've already seen what supporting a mad Arab in the 90s gave them. China for it's part is quite adept in playing one Islamic faction off against another. It will support Iran and use the Shias of Iran, now buttressed by the Iraqi Shia to threaten Afghanistan from the West. Before 9/11, Iran and Taliban Afghanistan nearly went to war, The West wouldn't mind the Chinese having a costly insurgency in their western provinces but then again the experience of blowback will probably keep them from fishing in troubled waters. The Taliban in control in Afghanistan will mainly be a danger to Pakistan. It will embolden their even madder cousins the Pakistani Taliban to commit more attacks on the government as well as on the Shias. All sorts of mad mullahs will emerge each more insane than the last. It will make for interesting watching.

  33. We are not your western audience. We are from same region you are from so we have a different take than the western audience on this subject. We are all aware the Taliban resistance are a loose confederation such as the main Taliban group, Haqani network, GulBuddin Hekmatyar group, even TTP carries out operations in Afghanistan. But all of these groups owe their allegiance to Mullah Omar whom they regard as Amir Ul Monineen. Once the western backed government in Kabul is toppled and the Taliban take over, all of these groups of fighters will be part of the Taliban's main body. The Taliban takeover of Afghanistan will have a spill over effect in all the neighboring countries. It will embolden the Islamic radicals in Pakistan to demand Sharia laws. The Kashmiri separatists will probably have a boost of Jihadis in their ranks(not good for the Indian army). In China, the Uighur resistance will get a boost in their resistance against the Chinese which is close by to Afghanistan and central Asian states will also have a resurgent Islamic militant movement. It will have an effect on large parts of Asia which is probably why Iqbal called Afghanistan the heart of Asia.

  37. Alright here is the update...i did ask some of the questions- first two..got the answers..makes perfect sense..pretty consistent with rest of sant mandali perception. Gyani ji couldn't go in depth of those two questions and rest of them as nature of meeting place- there were lot of premis wanted to meet and besides gyani ji humbly refused to be recorded during questions and answers as gyani ji said these type of discussion are only meant for serious seekers and meant for personal one on one session based on student desire of learning and state of mind. I did manage..however to do some quick gupt bachan bilas..they were amazing..they know lot of gurbani in kant- sri guru granth sahib ji and sri dasam granth sahib, they were reciting kabits from sri akaal ustat..almost bought tears to my eyes..vahiguroo..will be meeting them again tom or sunday to give them cds and will personally be in touch with them from now onwards !!

  42. Hey Dude, First, let me give you your props for completing your studies! Your hard work will assuredly pay off eventually, and our God Almighty will reward your efforts. Second (and I am speaking as an American woman who respects your faith) I beg you not to cut off your hair and beard just to score points with the world at large! People have been persecuted, even died, for the right to publicly proclaim their love of God by displaying the symbols of their devotion. My husband would tell you that as the first Indian student in his district, he suffered for his hair, and put up with much bullying and grief as a child. He kept his hair, and I honor him for his courage. In fact, I told him I'd smack him if he ever cut his hair or got rid of his turban! So many Sikhs have died for it...and it is part of who my dear husband is. I have no right to ask him to change just to fit in with American standards. Please seek out the company of the holy, the brave men and women of the sangat who will encourage you both in your faith, and in your sense of self. And like the other guy said, do your Simran and prayers. The person rooted firmly in God, in fellowship with righteous people, prospers in spirit and in the world as well. Consider what you are already talented at--and you do have special talents, whether you realize it now or not--and develop them. If you have a sense of rhythm, see about learning how to beat a pair of tablas so you might praise God in music. If you have steady hands, learn a craft. Such things gladden the heart, relax the mind, and can even open up avenues to meet new friends. Some regular exercise is good for the mood as well as the body, too. And if you will forgive me for quoting the Christian Bible, there is a Proverb that applies to anyone regardless of religion: "He who would have friends, must show himself friendly." Be the guy who greets newcomers to Gurudwara. If they are guests and not Sikh, offer to answer questions, show them how to cover their heads, etc. Serve up Langar with a smile and a blessing. You have within you the capability to be the person people want to be with! God is your shield of righteousness, and with God guarding you the words of other people are just words. They can't hurt you. I hope very much that I have been able to provide you some help and encouragement. Brightest blessings to you! Elizabeth Singh BfloPolska

  44. Become a complete vegan (no animal products - dairy/eggs/ meat) - all the fat will start to come off without much effort - it happened to me and many others I advised to go vegan. Dairy is highly insulinogenic and therefore results in fat synthesis every time its consumed.

  45. At my local gurdwara in UK, there was an elderly muslim who used to attend every sunday. Old guy, traditional garb, beard no tash n topi. He would sit further front than most the sangat. As for sidhu, from what angle does he look kesadhari. His beard is clearly trimmed. His blackened his own face with hair dye, just lacking a garland of shoes. Ur ok with a gursikh offering prayer in church or mandir but ur blood boils at the thought of it in a masjid?! Are u 14 as ur name suggests? GROW UP

  46. whats wrong in doing namaz...namaz is just a word used for praying and masjid is a place of worship......so does that mean waheguru ji doesn't dwell in masjid ???....... I don't think sitting in that posture in a masjid and praying to Allah, God or waheguru is wrong.... it's our way of looking at things.......it's our choice we want to find faults in others or see something positive.......I don't think sitting like that means someone has left sikhi path..... it's just showing respect to other religions.....God is just same everywhere, be it masjid or gurdwara
