  6. What do you think will happen if you manage to remove Gyani Gurbachan Singh ?? Quite simply he will be repalced with another puppet of the Badal regime and nothing will change. The bigger issue here should be that Akal Takht cannot make truly independant and pancthic decisions until it is once again the soverign institution that Guru Hargobind created. The soverienity of Akal Takht was lost when the Singh Sabhas decided to sell out to the British Raj thus allowing the SGPC to be formed and allowing the Akal Takht to fall under the direct jurisdiction of the British controlled Punjab Government..furthermore the installation on a non-Sikhi tradition i.e: the voting system for the Akal Takht Jathedars post, the electoral system can easily be influenced and is corruptable making it easy to install puppets. This same corrupt system sfter independance has meant that the SGPC and Akal Takht are now under the direct control of Pujab Govenrment AKA SAD/Badal..who in turn has his puppet strings pulled by the Indian Government. Free the Akal Takht from the SGPC and Punjab Governement control remove the voting system for the Akal Takht Jathedar post, and return it to the traditional Sikhi process of selection. Where true patnthic swadars are once again in control, only then will you see beneficial decisions for the bettterment of the panth being made from Akal Takht.

  7. The comparison of Vaheguru in no attribute being(no fear no hatred) to a mother with worldly attributes of being annoyed upset does not make sense. If he had taken a mother who exemplified Vaheguru no attributes of without fear and hatred then he could compare but his story would make no sense. Ardas is done to ask and say without you nothing can be accomplished, so please help me here my father (Vaheguru). If the sikh channel person is right. This makes Gurbani of Bhagat Dhanna ji false. Bhagat ji ask even after meeting Vaheguru I need a good wife and food to put on the table. Don't listen to these false parcharaks. Listen to Gurbani that tells us to do ardas. What is Chaupia Sahib da paath? Is it not an ardas?

  12. Dhan Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji Maharaj. Here is couplet from soraj parkash granth i came across with on facebook: Avsar pay pir pun aye. Karamat kamal sukhday When Pir Mian Mir found out what was happening (to Guru Arjan Dev ji) he also came (Gorakh Nath had come before). Mian Mir had full powers to perform miracles Namo karee hoe Kare agaree. Kahoo tum sahoo kusht than bhari. Hathee dusht ko bimal na lave. Agya tanak aap kee pavai He saluted the guru and stood before him and said "why are you enduring such extreme torture on your body? I will kill these evil people, I won't act in delay, all I need is your order Sabh ko adar bak ucharay. Kahoo tum nana drisht nihari? Ikh atma pooran sacho jagat akar jaan sabh kacho With great respect the guru responded -"why look at circumstances in different ways? Look at all in one way. The one atma is true, accept that this world is false. Hamari Dhan tiyagan maih asay. Karan anak janiyai tasay. Sama su puhociyo lakh chit rachai. Kariyo chay ham sabh ko sachai Our renunciation of this body has a purpose. There are various reasons for this. The time has come, my consciousness knows this. We desire to make all true Let this drama be played out. Gurpartap Sooraj Parkash - Bhai Santokh Singh

  13. You are wrong, outside of Punjab, in the rest of India as well as abroad Sikhi is flourishing. In Punjab Sikhi is going downhill due to the rule of Badal who has done a deal with the Hindu RSS and BJP that they will support him provided he makes sure that the Sikhs will never be in a position to rise up again like after 1984. The only positive thing that has happened in the last few year which shows that Sikhi may be making a comeback is the Rajoana protests as well as the defeat of Badal's candidates in the last election.

  14. Many police officers had infiltrated the Sikh kharkoo ranks. My family knows this one guy who was born a Mona Sikh. When he grew up he joined the Punjab police. During the days of militancy, he became an undercover cop, infiltrating the Sikh ranks. For this he grew his Kesh and even memorized Bani in order to prove himself as a dedicated Sikh. He later died in a car accident. Another case is of Shaheed Bhai Lachman Singh Babbar. He was a Muslim and an undercover cop. He grew his Kesh and joined the Babbars. But after seeing the spiritual jeevan of the Babbars who would do Paath and Naam Simran, he was greatly moved. He then revealed to them his real identity and joined them in the Panthic Sangharsh and attained Shaheedi.

  15. This is quite a deep topic and one which we can all begin to understand and contemplate better with experience, development and progress. Firstly, I think it's important to point out that this is not the physical heart but more so what is termed the ''Spiritual Heart'' in many other faiths as well. My main interpretation is referring to this spitiual and sukham hirda that can be felt but is not physical. Although, Sat1176 ji above, correctly pointed out the heartbeat and pulse japping naam so that jap is circulating all round body...... This does concern the physical heart, but that is just the first stage of a few jugtees. The idea is to eventually get the jap and simran all over the sukham sareer and nadis, and it can begin to be felt in the spiritual heart area and all over internal subtle body. Remembering, that nearly all the below is just y interpretation and take on this issue at this moment in time, and it may change complete direction in the coming future !!From the little that I think I understand at the moment........ .....This hirda or spiritual heart, is more mid-chest chest area and being slightly to the right of our physical heart. This is where you could say the God centre, the soul or atma is focally centred It is not like the mind, which is covered with a veil of maya and ego. A few areas to touch upon, that I can think of- 1)the experience and feel of the Hirda. 2)Realtionship of hirda and mind, (if there is any?) 3)Is the harmandir within in the hirda, the mind or both ? You could say, or I would say.. it's the Pure untouched divine within, that is nothing but the Divine love. It's a totally subtle/sukham feeling of energy that can only be described as LOVE. We have probably all felt this spiritual heart energy at times when it can glow and dampen all other feelings and emotions, and this is mostly to some sort of triggers that will lead to this limited experience. Most triggers can be when we may have those moments of extreme joy and excitement because of some good news, new event, attained or given some exciting posession.....etc.... ...It's that feeling when the heart flutters and you feel it beating with this joyful love energy.. But, these triggers are mostly All maya ! What I understand about gurbani mentioning this joy, from, or at the hirda, is the same kind if joy but at a much higher intensity and with no maya triggers or any gains of maya. It's purely some sort of blissful feeling that comes with the Love between the Atma/soul at the hirda, experiencing the love of God/Paramatma. A bit like the Atma(droplet of water) merging and experiencing the affinity of Paramatma(Ocean) Ji▫o jal jal mėh pais na niksai ṯi▫o dẖur mili▫o julāho. ||1|| Like water, dripping into water, which cannot be separated out again, so is the weaver Kabeer, with softened heart, merged into the Lord. Jis ṯe upjai ṯis ṯe binsai gẖat gẖat sacẖ bẖarpūr. The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and they intuitively center themselves in meditation The Lord is able blossom forth when our mind has been subdued and is out of thre gunn maya in chautha padh. When the veil has been lifted and the filth has been removed. Jan Nānak kamal pargāsi▫ā man har har vuṯẖ▫ṛā he. ||4|| Servant Nanak's heart-lotus has blossomed forth, and the Lord, Har, Har, has come to dwell in the mind. Ha▫umai mār kamal pargāsā. Egotism is subdued, and the heart-lotus blossoms forth. Gur kai sabaḏ kamal pargāsi▫ā ha▫umai ḏurmaṯ kẖo▫ī. Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, the heart-lotus blossoms forth, and egotism and evil-mindedness are eradicated Gurbani also mentions the inverted heart lotus for the manamukh and the blossomed one for gurmukh. I think that we can also say that the lord remains firmly in place with our droplet soul/atma with his lotus feet.... Cẖaraṇ kamal basā▫e hirḏai jī▫a ko āḏẖār. ||3|| Enshrine His Lotus Feet within your heart; He is the Support of the soul. Hirḏai kamal pargāsi▫ā joṯī joṯ milā▫e. The heart-lotus blossoms forth, and one's light merges in the Light I'm not too sure but in the past I've probably used most Mind and Heart references interchangeably. I have now began to realise that may be there is a little more differentiation and maybe we should understand this. So far, I kind of think that Our MIND is what we have to try and control/subdue at first before we can begin to experience the atma/paramatma........ Once we have taken off layers of filth and freed/killed the Mind part engrossed in maya, then all that will remain is the Lord's name or shabad. At this stage, I imagine that we also create that stronger bond between the jyot saroop Mind and the hirda atman within. Man kirsāṇ har riḏai jammā▫e lai i▫o pāvas paḏ nirbāṇī. ||1|| Let your mind be the farmer; the Lord shall sprout in your heart, and you shall attain the state of Nirvaanaa. ||1|| Thus Mind is the farmer and the hirda/soul becomes enshrined and blossoms forth. Jan Nānak kamal pargāsi▫ā man har har vuṯẖ▫ṛā he. ||4|| Servant Nanak's heart-lotus has blossomed forth, and the Lord, Har, Har, has come to dwell in the mind. Suṯ sampaṯ ḏekẖ ih man garbi▫ā rām riḏai ṯe kẖo▫i▫ā. Gazing upon your children and your property, your mind is proud and arrogant; you cast out the Lord from your heart Man kā ṯosā har nām hai hirḏai rakẖahu samĥāl. The Lord's Name is the nourishment of the mind; cherish it, and preserve it carefully within your heart Gur parsādī man vasai ṯiṯ gẖat pargat ho▫e. ||5|| By Guru's Grace, the Lord comes to abide in the mind; in the heart of such a one, He is revealed. Ha▫umai mār man nirmalā har nām ur ḏẖārī. They subdue their ego, purify their minds, and enshrine the Lord's Name within their hearts. As Manmukhs we are slaves to our Mind. In the sense that we let the Mind be the Master of our whole show. Gurbani says that the Mind is like a bird always running in 10 directions, referring to our constant chasing of thoughts. We can't feel our spiritual hirda because of the 5 dhoot influenced and maya-thought engrossed Mind. The Mind puts on the veil of ego and creates the wall of duality, which itself stops us expereincing our real true self of Atma seated in the centre of hirda. As we hammer away at the filth, ego and duality walls, then the connection between the hirda and mind continues to get stronger.. BUT the mind stops running the show because there will be no ego of "me" and "I"...etc.. What happens next ??....... ..........Then, I think that our mind discovers and appreciates it's mool/source and identifies Jyot saroop. Now,.......... it stops being the master and running the show, and in turn letting the SOUL/ATMA be the Master of the MIND. GOAL IS-- To NOT let the MIND continue being the MASTER of our SOUL, but to let the SOUL/ATMA be the MASTER of MIND instead !! At this stage When the SOUL/ATMA is in the complete driving seat and not influenced by maya and 5 dhoot, then we could say that we sure are in PURE HUKAM. Pure HUKAM means that there is completely no influence of 5 dhut ...and everything is occurring outside the confines of Kaal and Maya. as for the last question posed above....... 3) Is the harmandir in the Hirda, mind or both ?? I'm not too sure !! But I would probably guess that it is both, but we have to find the jyot saroop of the mind in order to blend it and have it under the command of God atman/soul. Then, no ego comes into the play and it is all the pure hukam, and the gurmukh experiences only love, divine love. There are no feelings or emotions of joy or sad, pain or sorrow..etc.... but just divine love....and all in his sweet hukam governed by his prem and love. (tera banna mittah lageh)

  16. People have made Akal Purakh into their servant. Does a servant need to be told what to do for the master? No he as a strict routine to follow and the master sits comfortably knowing everything will come to him. No need to beg or ask the servant what he wants. Our Guru's taught us to be servants and not masters. Without Vaheguru hukam no one can even blink an eye. Have we gone this egotistical to think everything will just come to us? Get down on your knees and beg and beg in front of him with a pure heart. Ask those who Akal Purakh has made their body the cage they can't escape. Can't get out of bed on their own, need to be fed by another, and cannot control when they go to the bathroom. Ask those who have no sight how many ardas they do to darshan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Go and listen to those who can't hear, how they long day and night to listen to the sweet sound of Gurbani kirtan. Our Guru did ardas before Akal Purakh. Read Bachittar Natak or the Bani also comes in Samporaan Rehras Sahib of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji saying in his ardas, I (Guru Gobind Singh Sahib ji) can only uphold truth if you (Akal Purakh) are by my side. Don't lose your Sikhi to those who cannot even beg before the Creator, the provider, your everything.

  18. According to my understanding and research i may be wrong, hirda also refers to our center being not particular place in the body but our atam jot saroop- awareness/hirda parkash (would be awakened light/awareness) hirda or hirda parkash from which everything rises or subsides even in the sleep. If one fully questions who is experiencing/witnessing the sleep-dreams on the surface it would be I-ego but after deep contemplation one automatically lead to conclusion eventually not conceptually but in expereince its the awareness experiencing itself. When we wake up- ego kicks in and claims its fully I duality expereinced the sleep Overall, i think in gurbani -awareness or center being our jot saroop is also explained metaphorically as hirda or hirda parkash (once our surti/intuition has died in pure awareness fully)

  19. Deep topic N30Singh. My understanding of hirda references are along the lines of a very deep inner state off pure meditative consciousness . For example as per the following tuks : The Gurmukh eliminates egotism from within; then, O Nanak, the sun naturally enters into the home of the moon. gurmukh ha-umai vichahu khovai ta-o naanak sahj samaavai. When the mind becomes steady and stable, it abides in the heart, and then the Gurmukh realizes the root ih man nihchal hirdai vasee-alay gurmukh mool pachhaan rahai. The breath is seated in the home of the navel; the Gurmukh searches, and finds the essence of reality. naabh pavan ghar aasan baisai gurmukh khojat tat lahai. When a naam abhyaasi starts naam jaap with the rasna, i.e. out aloud, slowly progressing to jaap with each inhale and exhale of breath. Further down the path a stage will come when the mind becomes very one pointed and free from distracting thoughts that the mental jaap is able to accelerate to the stage to match the speed of the heartbeat and pulse. Sometimes this can even be heard or felt within the body as you become more inwardly aware. This I'm guessing is physical experience of hirda jaap. Chant continually the Name of the Lord. har ko naam japee-ai neet. With each and every breath, meditate on God, and renounce other love. Pause saas saas Dhi-aa-ay so parabh ti-aag avar pareet. rahaa-o. I chant the Lord`s Name within my mind. man meh raam naamaa jaap. Listening continually to Your Name, O Beloved God, I yearn to behold You. sun sun naam tumaaraa pareetam parabh paykhan kaa chaa-o. More further down the path you go the more the internal sounds manifest and eventually resound as a single tone known as beej/maha (seed/root) mantra. i.e. the primal sound of On/Ong Making the effort, the mind becomes pure; in this dance, the self is silenced. udam karat hovai man nirmal naachai aap nivaaray.
