Was thinking about this the other day. More and more women are wearing short skirts to the gurdwara with bare legs. It's kind of uncomfortable when they are bending over and doing matha tek in front of you I just end up standing 3 meters behind them and once shes gone then I walk forward and do matha tek. It's even more uncomfortable when there is a lot of sangat at gurdwara and you have some girl in a short skirt bending over in front of you, it's like what do I do? Do I walk walk forward and matha tek or do I just look down and wait for her to go. Lol especially when there are elders sitting in sangat too. Recently I saw this girl wearing a skirt and one of those tops that slip of your shoulders. But then again there is no dress code in the gurdwara other than shoes off and heads covered. But surely if you've got your head covered out of respect you should cover the rest of yourself out of respect too! It doesn't really make sense otherwise. I don't think there is any dress code in sikhi in general though, but then where do you draw the line?

I think a better question than the one in the OP is: Do certain online forums consist of a disproportionate amount of depressed, excessively pessimistic apnay? I think so. It’s called free will. Even born into a Sikh family doesn’t make you a Sikh you have to do take Amrit. Gurus were here not to tell us how special they were but how special we all are. True masters create masters not followers.

There is no humanity without Vaheguru. Your humanity was shown when you could not even say that Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji is the only true Guru who can take any one to Vaheguru when the person follows the teachings of Gurbani to the letter.
