  1. When the cornerstone of Sikh religious philosophy (that's been repeatedly expounded to the sangat for centuries) is of a beloved Sikh sevadar who provided succour to enemy combatants on the battlefield rendering the soldierly efforts of his fellow Sikhs to be next to useless, is held up as an aspirational mentality to be cherished and emulated, then what else should we expect?

  2. anything that shows the love for khalsa and to serve poor as Guru ji showed is pretty much trustable but when it goes one to praise 'brahmin' singhs you know its BS because 'kul nash, varaan nash, dharam nash' doctrine of Amrit sanchar.

  4. That's a bit unfair. Whole countries such as USA and Canada were erased using starvation as a tool of war as the people were not seen as useful. Africans were tortured and enslaved due to their usefulness in physical labour. So why couldn't they resist the onslaught of the West? India's GDP was 40% before the Islamic invasions so we must have been doing something right. At the time of British takeover GDP was 23%. By the time they left it was 2%. As the media is wholly controlled by the West I'd ignore their attempts at painting us in a negative light. That's part of their psychological control over the narrative - oh they deserved it as they were ____ (castist etc etc). Read up on MkUltra on how they developed mind control techniques. Before we take on an enemy we need to understand their mentality and their methods. We now know their methods to be evil and cruel and utterly selfish. Hence why we are facing what we are today. It is utterly shocking and reprehensible for which most do not have a plan. So before criticising our ancestors we need to try and put ourselves in their shoes. We all have personal stories of how partition was attained and at what cost so based on that we should be able to muster a modicum of empathy and sympathy before formalising a plan. Do you have any ideas on how to defend ourselves in this scenario?

  5. Until we go through all our extant puratan text's sakhis and understand which were actually contemporary/close contemporary to our Gurus physical time, we can't tell which sakhis are later incorporations, or ones given prominence during the dubious colonial period to make us docile.

  6. What's the west have to do with this? We can discuss the topic of casteism from a Sikhi framework between ourselves that's nothing to do with the west. Plus you're wrong, the west as a norm tries to breakdown structures of all indigenous people they encounter. Yes, because they fell on their knees and lived like sycophantic, subjugated rats for a long time. They became the play things and tools of conquerors and collaborated with them to survive, shitting on their own that they deemed beneath them in the caste hierarchy, because they weren't manly enough to take on their enslavers. That's how Indians got their renown timid, coward 'peace-loving' reputation

  9. It is our people's fickle nature. It is whatever floats their boat at that particular moment in time and then doing a complete 180 five minutes later

  10. Documented History shows that there was no Caste in India until the Brits went around the country making sure everyone had a caste though many did not. I have shared this before. So it has everything to do with them. It's yet another divide and rule tactic. The Indians had varna based on ones individual qualities that meant people could change their grouping. Further debate would probably require a separate thread. Please don't normalise crimes of murder, genocide suffered by millions otherwise you're closing the doors to debate. As the subject matter affects Indians as a whole I doubt you can isolate it as just a problem within Sikhs.

  11. This is from Desa Singh's rahit, so it's fairly old. Look at the last three lines, it focuses on charity between Singhs.

  12. to this end I find Ravi Singh's advice to give your daswand to Khalsa aid , fairly cretinous same with sikh channel (which promotes LGBT slant on gurbani) and sikhnet and its affiliates . Doing charity work is good and praiseworthy but it doesn't have the same level in sikhi as it is also very likely to increase haumai in giver and agency receiving, which kind of self-defeating . Khalsa aid is NOT doing nishkam sewa exactly and neither are the sgpc dgmc who do it the use of daswand for photo opps and political scores

  13. but not by cutting the throats of our own poor widows, children and farmers , they are meant to be supported first to ensure the next generation will be stronger position to tackle life's hardships and they can improve the kaum as a whole by being educated , scholars , aware of gurbani and its meaning. All the hindu charities collect and give to their own, same, Christians, Jews and Muslims , because they know to support their own first because no one else will ...until Jokers in sikhi bhes started to promote themselves by laying out the daswand given by poor sikhs for nonsikh activities or support. If you support the mazhabs who actively want your panth to end what would you call that? idiocy comes to mind, suicidal , uneducated and lacking in foresight. Singh Sabha movement used daswand to do parchaar in villages and to root out anglican missionaries' influence , they used it for creating sikh scholarly books on itihaas, gurbani etc. Daan is seperate from Daswand , daswand is purely for sikh activities so nobody should be using it for building mosques , churches or temples. However outside of the expected daswand which belongs to the Guru , we can give daan but there is no restrictions on it because this is individual

  14. fakeness is the name of the game these days , it was cringeworthy when the uncles and aunties used get together to throwdown their kids' achievements but now it is beyond stupid . The lies start flowing and then the upmanship annihilates any person's sense in a 20 mile radius. I refuse to be drawn into this when relatives ask after the kids because I used to hate what their BS made my mum feel inadequate though I was an A+ student.

  17. Gurjant Singh Chela! After seeing the effectiveness of Bhai Gurjant Singh, the butcher D.G.P. Ribeiro got the most brutal S.H.O. Mith Singh appointed at the Bage Purane Police station, which was adjoining to Bhai Sahib's village in Thana Baga. The S.H.O made Bhai Sahib's family his target for meting out police brutality and being unjust, this brute got the front Iron Gate from Bhai Sahibs house removed and placed it at the police station. He humiliated Bhai Sahib's father by dragging him by the hair, in the heat of the Punjabi summer in front of the police station and made a public display of torturing Bhai Sahib's father. He challenged Bhai Sahib's father to "go get your tiger of a son to come and face me, face to face." Bhai Sahib learnt of the atrocities met out to his family, and after a while he made plans to avenge these evil actions. He along with his 3 associates Bhai Lakhvinder Singh Lakha village Dhole Ke, Ajmer Singh Lodhivaal and Bhai Darshan Singh Tarkhanbad, exterminated the S.H.O at the police station whilst he was under the guard of his bodyguards. After removing the S.H.O, Bhai Sahib and his associates fired at the police in the police station, but they locked themselves in out of fear and did not dare to return fire. Bhai Sahib and his associates left the police station at 7.30am with such calmness and braveness, no police official had the courage to even follow the Singh's after they left. The newly appointed S.H.O got the very same iron-gate reinstated at Bhai Sahib's house.

  18. I understand he's bringing material to the mass Sikhs (and others) which most are not aware of. The fact he acknowledges that the British are mostly responsible for the Silkhs manipulation of history and identity is to his credit. I had put his 'exalting goreean' down to the fact he may be married to or with a goree himself hence his stance. But I would be wary of him because of that. It is exactly these types of people that are used by the Establishment to further their agenda as they are accepted due to this. The system is totally racist. The fact he's had quite a few awards is an indication that they may be grooming him for greater things in the future. It doesn't matter what religion you are, if you're non White you're not one of them. Look how they treated the Africans, the American natives, the aborigines, the Indians even as recently as today when Caribben blacks have been expelled due to not being able to prove they're British. They're protecting particular religions as they've done secret deals with middle Eastern regimes who are being used to force a change to the culture of freedom and human rights in those areas that have them. Without which they can't have a One World Govt.

  19. Back in my day there was worse than that! People with dogs didn't pick up the tutti like they do now. Koota shyte was all over the pavements. If you got a new pair of trainers - it was almost guaranteed that you'd step into some, and then spend 15 minutes looking for patches of grass to wipe that sh1t off with (which never came off fully). lol! Plus dogs wondering around in gangs because people would just let them out on the streets like they were cats.....

  20. YES! Sex before marriage is a bujjar kureth. Also keep in mind what Panj Pyaare stated at your Amrit Sanchar. I like to add, All Panj state different things and what they stated stays with YOU only. There are good reasons we do not go sharing details of our at time at the Sanchar.
