  1. This is no big mystical revelation imho. European whites fighting amongst themselves has been on the cards for ages. It's the natural state of things if long term history is anything to go by. The only good point right now is that we don't hordes of our own illiterate pendu peasants lined up to do goray's dirty work for peanut money that was stolen off them in the first place (like in the previous conflicts with krauts/nazis). Shasters will be/are important, but anyone who doesn't recognise how important ashtars i.e. projectile weapons like guns, canons, missiles etc. are today is a bewakoof of major proportions. Those of us in the western diaspora: abled bodied young men and women, get ready to defend your own community in the potential face of a rise of racism. It's been done before. Plus the indigenous nazis in many western disaporas have now been reinforced by 'refugee' eastern european ones. It doesn't take a genius (or a mahapurash sant) to figure out what we may have to face.

  2. I think you're correct here. There is a redefinition of each religious group by Guru sahibaan in Gurbani. The new vision Maharaj offers, naturally and gently funnels them into a more Sikhi oriented way of life. The 4-doors-one-walkway metaphor.

  3. It's not a minority at all. Sikhs who fought for the British in the World Wars or other situations (like the Battle of Saragarhi) are always being celebrated, both in Punjabi popular culture, and by average Sikhs who are desperate to find something to make them feel proud and relevant. Look at the number of statues and monuments in the UK that have been erected, with the support of the local Sikh community, celebrating Sikh mercenaries.

  4. Wouldn't being a good Muslim endorse keeping prisoners of war as slaves and in the case of women sex slaves? Likewise being a good Hindu would encourage following the caste system. These things are explicitly mentioned in the Quran and Gita.

  5. Totally agreee. And what did fighting other people's wars get us? Literally nothing. I can't believe there are sikhs who celebrate being foot soldiers every year.

  6. The amount of Singh's that have sacrificed themselves to defend the place says otherwise. I don't agree with you bro. Amritsar is VERY special.

  7. seriously we need to really push tanti saaj raag keertan instead of the low standard harmonium keertan we currently have. The current low standard keertan has birthed countless punjabi singers and producers in this lacharpuna industry such as Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh and RDB. Authentic keertan wouldn't result in gurdwaras being used as launchpads for such personalities! I hope this truth goes into the brains of some sikhs!!! Similarly, modern sikhs also try to present Morris Dancing gatka as an ancient art and even try to associate it with Guru Hargobind Sahib patshah, instead of learning authentic shastarvidiya!!!

  8. The US doesn't need 'Bodies'. Modern drone warfare has eliminated the need for foot soldiers. All their modern wars were schemes to further a certain agenda and to swindle government coffers. Jihad doesn't mean anything. If it was that great these people would be ruling this planet by now. Look at the Uyghurs in China. What happened to Jihad there? All of them are in re-education camps and are under constant surveillance by facial recognition cameras. Myanmar? they got bashed so hard they ran away in boats and are still running. Israel? Why has Jihad miserably failed there and they are sitting in the biggest concentration camp on the planet being surveilled 24/7 by drones? Reason? The Governments were serious in putting an end to their Jihad and not play hide and seek games. They use their brains, technology and superior tactics to counter these fanatics. Its not anything special about the Talibans. The problem is with us. We have domesticated ourselves and have fallen in love with Maya that we have forgotten our martial past. How many Sikh mothers today would encourage their sons to go fight for the panth? A handful?

  9. Wars are a massive money transfer mechanism..money goes from the taxpayer (or/and government borrowing) to 'elites'. But there is no way the USA could have wiped out the taliban, simply because of the concept of Jihad. The <Edited> islamists have an almost never ending supply of 'bodies' to use. Just look at it now, the USA and its allies have their prime target (Iran) surrounded to the East now by the Taliban who have been conveniently equipped with the latest war gear, thanks to the quick withdrawl. They did the same in Iraq when all those modern US weapons got into the hands of Isis (in Iraq) who then attacked Assad's Syria. These 'elites' don't care about you or me, never have, never will.

  10. This point continues to rear its head on numerous occasions; it does so because it's the issue that's at the heart of everything. One would assume our leadership (through parchaar) should've spent the past 40(?) years or so convincing Sikhs In Punjab and around the world WHY we need our own country. Tangible and unambiguous aims and objectives. Maybe even a charm offensive. That should've been the number 1 priority. Get as many Sikhs on-side as humanly possible. Don't alienate anyone, don't allow yourself to fragment into sub-groups within sub-groups, and definitely don't make enemies within the panth itself. That's what a somewhat forward-thinking and smart leadership would've done.

  11. It's two completely different situations. The USA is thousands of miles away from Afganistan, it isn't easy for their soldiers to be in such a foreign place or to get supplies. Their citizens don't really care about the war, half the soldiers probably don't either. They didn't get any support from neighbouring countries. Their nearest allies were thousands of miles away as well. They easily defeated the taliban they just didn't want to waste any more resources. Them pulling out of Afghanistan won't have any major effect on America itself. With us it was completely different, the Indian army and Punjab Police was fighting on home soil in a place they knew well with well established local bases and supplies. The local populace of Punjab were not all for Khalistan either. 35% of Punjab was Hindu then and probably only half or less of the Sikhs were supporting the militants. The Indian government had a lot more to lose if Khalistam would be founded. Other states would demand similar things and India would break up. Look at Kashmir, the militancy there has been going on for over 30 years but India would never let it go because it would cause chaos in the rest of the country, not to mention the bezti.

  12. Since the Americans and Indians have donated weapons to the Taliban, I suggest that we, the Sikh nation introduce them to Bhangra for their victory celebrations. lets send that guy in the gifs you posted to Afghanistan to train them.I'm sure they would have a blast.

  14. I'd rather quiet bhappas minding their own business doing what gandh they get up to, than a jut, who's completely stabbing the movement in the back whilst claiming to be down. I was alive when the movement was happening and stuff trickled through to us here in the UK. It was mainly jut policemen killing kharkus. Bhai ji and you should know, jut brothers shared a wife in the villages not long ago. Some might still be doing it now for all I know? That's PROPER panchodhry. I don't think there are that many bhappay in the UK myself, at least not in my ends.

  15. Have you read it properly? It's no different to Rattan Singh Bhangu bigging up juts here and there in his work. Overall though, it's a fascinating and study worthy document. I hope you're not someone who learns most of your heritage from Macauliffe and other colonial era works. lol Read it again, and take a fresh look. The pro-Brahmin bits are small and obvious, there's a lot more to it than that.

  16. I'm not demonizing them. I just don't think we need as much as we usually have these days. Thing with our (even recent) ancestors is that they worked hard, and I mean HARD compared to us now. So their energy expenditure was infinitely higher than ours. We do a fraction of the physical exertions they did but eat even more than them, and often unhealthy processed foods/snacks too....do the math

  17. Many have already adapted, and they have been for years...opening car mechanics, dhabey and other businesses and others have sold land and purchased far more in Australia. Land in Punjab is a finite resource of income due to over farming techniques, dwindling crops, falling prices, very low water table in part thanks to diversion of water to other states (we all know its no longer the land of 5 rivers) and growing of water intensive rice. The state machinery is anti farmer and labourer to top it off land is not worth what it used to be, in some areas prices have dropped by 50% plus. Educated rural youth who do not wish to enter the farming trade are not assisted at all, there is high unemployment (75 lakh and counting) in particular for Sikhs, and a few years ago a study showed 34% of marginal farmers living below the poverty line, this has since increased.

  18. The situation for the wealthy is in stark contrast to the poor farmers who are in extreme depths of debt and suffer high suicide rates due to high interest rates and a multitude of other factors. At the same time farmers with land across Punjab and particularly since the advent of machinery have become lazy, suffer from a number of diseases such has high BP, diabetes, arthritis etc due to inactivity and they employ biharis who I would class as the real Jats (farmers) at present.
