agree with pheena ji:

Its also common sense to not base assumptions on preconceived pattern of actions that are without the intent of seeking the reality of the situation.

the only thing that can be said is they are husband and wife and can do anything they want to do we don't even have the right to criticize how they live because it is their personal life and matter...and aren't we committing a sin by talking about people behind their backs when we ae supposed to jap naam of our waheguruji rather than looking at what people are doing around us.... :e:

hahhaahaha that pic made me laugh!

but as far as "Gursikh" weddings go - well all the ones i have been to and heard of - none of what is shown in the pics goes on!!! i.e. no bridal showers/kissing in public/dancing/wine etc

it's just the Lavaan followed by kirtan and dhadi/kavishri, some speeches, Ardaas, then Guru ka Langar - simple, effectve, meaningful and to the point!

Yo people... wow ...

... first of all i TOTALLY agree with pheena veerji...

second... please dont make assumptions... please...

... there is NO beadbi going on whatsoever... these guys have so much pyaar if not MORE than us (me for sure) where i dont even know the first thing about sikhi and these guys are describing sikhi how it should be ...

ok... from these pictures one can make MANY assumptions... i got a picture of myself that i look totally DRUNK but if you ask me ill just say i just look like that in reality tongue.gif ...

... ok to the point well ... ask them ... im sure they will give you an explanation... please dont expose them so further more people can look and say stuff ...

yeah i get what you are saying...and ok my bad about the wine thing...BUT

it's like they are Amritdhari right?

and then are they not representative of Guru Gobind Singh ji? "khalsa mero roop hai khaas"

sooo like would Guru ji dance? would Guru ji have belly dancers (or whatever they were) in their court/divaan or wherever? i think the answer is no.....

Come on people, stop doing nindya it's no good. . . Everyone makes mistakes in their lives and a lot of us do things that are wrong in Sikhi, sometimes we do it knowingly and sometimes unknowingly becasue we are still learning.

I agree it's not a fully GurSikh wedding but it's not for us to judge them, only Waheguru has that right.

Instead of looking down on them you should simply live your life in a good way and set an example like our Guru's did.

Yes it is Punjabi folk/pendu culture. Key word there being ‘Punjabi’. Now if they are going to do dancing, then why not do some angrejee dance? why Gidhaa?... Not that I am against them doing it, but it doesn’t make much sense doing some rustic Punjabi dance such as Gidhaa when you are not Punjabi.

and N30 Singh Jee, can you please tell me how the tukh that you have given above supports Naach? it says hasandi-aa, khaylandi-a, painandi-aa, khaavandi-aa, but notice it does not say 'Nachdi-aa'(dancing).
