I am surprised to see people are saying bhai Amrit singh is not akj. He is from akj background. Everyone knows it in his city. in this foto he is seen with other ajk people. This is his childhood picture. He is playing gatka with karam singh of akj. Other two senior akj men are seen in the picture. Akj children are seen in this foto. These children are fathers and mothers of their children now. All are akj.

it is funny that bhai Armit Singh has critise nihang dress but in this picture he is in nihang dress.

Amrit pal singh ji is not AKJ. In fact, he wrote many intellectual articles against anti-ragmalla claims and claims of people who consider keski as kakar.

His father gave all his life for the panth di seva and parchar contrary to AKJ.

Nihang ji, lets not spread lies about him. And his picture in nihang dress of youth days does not prove anything. As you probably know, all the great scholars have their views changed when they acquire more vidya in subjects.

Do you assume its admirable for people to form opinions and stick with them for life, even if they later doubt these opinions through research? Is there no place for learning in your world? You are supportive of Niddar Singh as you previously disclosed in some posts, did you criticise him when he changed his views from blue kaccherras being the traditional type to white kaccherras being those worn by the Khalsa of old??

Is it not acceptable to you that people can research and change their views? Also, does Amritpal Singh really "criticise" Nihang dress as such? Does he tell Nihangs not to wear it? Or is it simply the case he has researched historical texts etc and found cases that seem to contradict popular opinion?

Not many people have the time and resources available to do any research into these old texts, and thus tend to believe biased accounts read elsewhere. I think its far better that we extract some contrary thinking from these sources too, so we who are not able to do this research ourselves can develop a more balanced view.

All I see Amritpal Singh doing is making information from old texts accesible for people so they can make their decisions. There is no influencing or imposing views on others. Readers are presented extracts and explanations, but are left with a decision to make for themselves regarding whether such information supersedes their previous beliefs. Thats the way I see his work, maybe I'm reading it wrong or something.

This is grossly incorrect and something anti-raagmala supporter use to cover up for their main man Teja Singh Bhasauria.  Kavi Santokh has not said he doesn't believe in raagmala, only that he does not known if it was written by the Gurus or not.  Gyani Gyan Singh is also misquoted on this front.

Veer Namstang Ji, in the above post you have just asked "Singh 47" to bring forward his references for his claims. Veer "Singh 47" has just posted his references on a new thread, and upon reading them you have said:

I request admin to consider closing this topic. If they(anti-ragmalla people, bhasuria singhs, bhai randhir singh jatha members) wish to debate on ragmalla, they should take their concerns on that thread. Their points are already been adressed and refuted.

Veer Namstang Ji do not be offended or angered by my comments. Perhaps you had forgotten that you had asked Bhai Sahib for his references.

Yes that was me who asked him for references, but then i searched on sikhawareness, found my references there. so no need for that, and besides singh47 post was directed towards niranjana with malicous intentions, it's funny you posted right after him . what do you think this is?

First you are the one who asked me a question by saying how you are so confused and need some answers, then when I give an answer (with references!) you ask the mods to close down the thread.

First of all the thread I started was not even directed at you, it was directed at Naranjana, as I was answering him directly. I myself did not argue that Ragmala is bani or not. I just answered to Naranjana jee to his claim of Kavi Santokh Singh and Giani Gian Singh which I knew what not correct.

I am sorry that Veer Naam Stand Jee could not take a simple debate because two mature adults who just simply want to learn from one another and others here.

Naam Stang Jee, what I want to know is ਵੱਟ ਇਜ਼ ਯੋਰ ਪਰਾਬਲੈਮ with the thread I started?

    • If relationship with Guru is strong, then kanga is done twice a day, and turban should never be taken off or put on like a hat, there is a lot wrong with that as it is against rehit! maryada is to take off every layer of turban/pagh/dumalla individually, and tie fresh turban each time!
    • the whole 'your husband/wife is chosen for you'/sanjog thing is real, it's just that a lot of people end up marrying the wrong person. they did not end up with the person that was meant for them. my friend, you should marry someone who you feel a connection with and love. there are millions of sikh girls, i'm sure you can find someone who aligns with your sensibilities and who you can truthfully say that you love. sikhi does not say anything against love marriages. you can also be in a loveless arranged marriage which is a safe option b/c both families are more inclined to keep the union intact. i was one of those people who was like meh, i guess i'll just get arranged to some sikh. well i finally started dating for the first time this year and i'm getting married to someone that i love and cannot even imagine leaving. i think it's better to have lost & lost than never loved at all. unfortunately, a lot of people confuse love w/ looks & lust. a lot of men go for the fittest girl they can find and think they won the jackpot or something. in reality, your partner should be like an extremely loved best friend. there's a reason why it's a fact that the most stable and long-lasting relationships started as friendships.  i also think a lot of women are petty and divorce over small reasons, but there's other terrible things like high cheating rates as well. that's why the divorce rate in the west is high. be careful out there.
    • andrew tate praises sikhi too & likes sikhs. his brother also donated to sikh families iirc. they just like any "alpha" religion and tbh islam is the most "alpha" in their eyes. islam is very good at promoting that image. but imo a real alpha man doesn't command respect by beating up his wive(s) or forcing them to wear a burqa. a real man will have his woman listen to him w/o raising a hand or his voice, and command respect by being respectful. he leads by example and integrity. that's true masculinity. you get the idea. + yes, it's definitely true that islam is growing rapidly and making massive inroads. strength in numbers + belief will do that. but rlly it's just because of the birth rate. a lot of them are muslim b/c it's their "identity" just like how a lot of young sikhs will say they're "culturally sikh" or whatever. there just aren't billions of sikhs who lambast their identity everywhere and have strict and linear rules like in islam. besides, the reality is that islam and its followers are some of the most morally bankrupt. you can see all the weird trans rules in iran, bacche baazi in afghanistan, visiting brothels, watching p*rn, p*dophilia what goes on behind the scenes in countries like uae & qatar, etc, and come to your conclusions. you can google all the stats yourself and see which countries do the most of these ^.   
    • stop associating with hinduism, that's the absolutely worst thing you can do as a sikh. not sure if you noticed but the entire world looks down upon and spits at india & hindus, literally no one respects them and considers them weak and cowardly. literally 1+ billion of them but not perceived as a strong religion commandeering respect. 
    • you wrote a whole lot but told us nothing. what exactly did you do wrong to make you feel this way?
