In Bhai Rama Singhs book it says, you are made to climb a big hill. . . . . If you have done lots of good deeds in your life, then your soul flies up the hill and gets to dharamraj very quickly, if you have been a great sinner and not done any good deeds, then it is harder for your soul to climb the hill, and takes much longer for you to get to dharamraj. And also on the way the jamdoots are beating the hell out of you.
