Is kookar really translated into Dog? I understand the tukk but is kookar really a dog? Is not more a kookari? as in chicken?

i think only dog can Baukeyi...

...Because the dog is Bafadaar animals...in Gurbani, bhagat Kabir ji, Bhulle Shah in his Kafia say about the dog.

Je kar malak apne Kutte(Kookar) nu bhaven roti vi na deve, oh taan vi apne malak de ghar di rakhvali karda hai...

Yes 'Kookar' means dog in terms of Gurbaani, but also the word 'swaan' is used, which refers to a dog too. Commonly used by Guru Arjun Dev Ji!

on another note.... it is called "kookar" ending with a sound of "R" as in "car"... while the kukar describing a chicken ends with sound of "raaraa" like lakkar (wood), sarak (road). Hope that helps....

Doesnt "Badan" Means "Body"?

And "pasaar" means like kapre jameen te passar ke "To putt the clothes on the floor"

so i read it as "I am a dog at your court, lord. who barks while putting full body on the ground ("sitting")
