Incorrect. 1) Every Sikh is told to keep Shastars with them at all times. Sant Jarnail Singh was simply following that hukam. 2)Sant Jarnail Singh himself NEVER referred himself to Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. To the contrary, his manner of speech embodied the concept of being humbler than dust.

2)2) 'Bindranwale should not have hid in the Golden Temple, None of our Gurus ever did that wen they fought the Moghuls. if Bindranwale was so brave, y did the man goto Harmandir Sahib to fight from there! he was right in asking for Khalistan but he was wrong for taking refuge in the Golden Temple.

Sant Jarnail Singh Sahib was in the Harimandir Sahib for many years. The government knew of this. When charges were leveled against him, he even subjected himself to arrest and a court trial, where he was released due to no evidence against him. Indira Gandhi trained Indian army troops specifically on a training range designed like the Harimandir Sahib. Knowing that innocents would be in the Darbar Sahib complex on Guru Arjun Dev Sahib's birthday, knowing that attendees would have been higher than normal, does it honestly cross someone's mind that Sant Jarnail Singh Sahib was the target? Sant Jarnail Singh even did parchar, meetings and relaxed on the rooftops in Harimandir Sahib quite frequently. What...India doesn't have one sniper to take the man out and minimize innocent casualties?

Paji is right, there is meant to have been a model built of the akal takhat somewhere around the mountainous areas of the himalaya's, where the army practiced invading the complex many months before the attack.

Also people were sent in to assisnate Sant Ji. I cant remember their names, but one man and a woman (dressed as sikhs as usual). They were sitting in front of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji as he did katha on the day, and for some reason sant ji is said to have stared right at the male assasin and said that he would love to drive his arow right through the heart of traitors to the quam!

they were sitting there with a loaded pistol but didnt have the courage to shoot sant jarnail singh ji. but later they killed Bhai Surinder Singh Ji Sodhi, who was one of the closest singhs to sant ji. The other singhs then hunted down the assasins, not sure what happened to the guy but the woman was killed with 18 hours i believe.

In regards to the gurus and darbar sahib, the statement made is incorrect, Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji THE CREATOR of the akal takhat kept it as his throne and palace, and as such his armies were constantly stationed there. these would have been the best trained and best armed warriors of guru ji.

Shaheed baba gurbaksh singh ji, the 2nd jathdhar of damdami taksal also fought on darbar sahibs land as he defended it against the afghan (i believe it was afghan) invaders.

Even today any sangat are allowed to stay at darbar sahib, there is nothing to stop them. Hiding is what you do when you dont want people to know where you are, sant ji was very open about the fact that he was residing there. how can any sikh who wishes to be as close as possible to darb

one more thing, isnt it strange that during the buildup to the attack, no vehicles or people were allowed to leave amritsar, but were allowed in only. surely common sense would be to evacuate as many people as possible b4 launching an attack on a civilian religious builidng, in the hunt for so called terrorists many of whom had prev been arrested and released!!

also as far as i know there is only ONE sant jarnail singh ji, so why were 38 other gurdwara sahibs attacked simultaneously on the same day?! was sant ji at all of them!?!?

Ps Sant Jarnail Singh Ji never thought for khalistan, he fought for sikh human rights. He said khalistan would be the outcome of the armies attack on darbar sahib. It is up to us to fight for khalistan.

Also please note that many of us incorrectly say that sant ji and the singhs fought from harimandir sahib. that is not true, the singhs were never in the harimandir sahib, they were in the surrounding buildings and the akal takhat yes, but never the actual harimandir sahib.

The army continued to fire at the harimandir sahib leaving over 350 bullets in the gold and a number or dead granthi's inside who had bravely continued to do kirtan and rehraas as according to maryada as per usual despite being shot at. they said that they were recieving fore from there, but when they went to check it with gianni kirpal singh they found NO EVIDENCE what so ever that any shots were fired form there at all!!

Please note that the Guru Granth Sahib Ji was also made shaeed in harimadir sahib, i believe a website will be opening soon showing a picture of the bullet wound and the bullet itself if people are intrested.

Sant Ji had said he wanted Khalistan but did not want to fight for it, he said if the Govt gives it to Sikhs, they will take [not repeating mistake of 1947 when we did not] and if they dont, the Govt must treat Sikhs with equal rights and they want to live in India not oppressed.

ya, its sad that some sikhs feel the gov't was only after sant bhindranwala, and they also say he shouldn't have stayed at harimandir sahib, but they can't explain why the other gurdwaras were attacked.

the gov't claimed it was there to eliminate terrorists, but it was more then that.

Sant Ji spoke the Truth. The government couldn't handle the Truth. They wanted to make Sikhs go against him, so they began spreading lies about him, to make it look like he had a bad character. Unfortunaltely, many punjabis are so weak minded that hey believe whatever they hear. He was no agent, He was a Sant...he spoke the Truth, and the Governenment's plan to destroy his character seemed to work on many weak punjabis. If he was an agent, what were his motives? Did he get alot of money in return, and spend his time surrounded by material things?. No...he lived a simple Gursikhi Jeevan, and his mission was to spread the message of Gurbani.
