The word Bibayk speaks of being Aware, Intuitiveness, Contemplativeness, having Bibayk Budhi (intellect). Being aware of God conciousness. Having the intuitivness of God Awareness, understanding.

In other words with this issue do people think that in the Gurdwara needs to be the correct way? Or will people pretend to not know."Are people aware of this"???????? Do they "contemplate this???? Or anything???? When we speak of eating habits of an Amritdari then we must understand that it all has to do with getting the presence of God within the body and not with taste etc

Have you forgot the time Guru Sahib Drew blood from one roti and Milk in the other, its not matter of amritdhari or not, it matter about "truthfulness", kamai! An amritdhari may perhaps well be amritdhari, but does he have kamai?

Here is teh sakhi:

Guru Nanak who on one of his travels preferred to share a meal in the abode of a poor man's hut instead of the mighty king's lavish meal. The offended king ordered that the Guru be brought to his mansion by force. He then asked him why he chose the poor man Lalo's meal and not his sumptuous table. At that the Guru asked for sweets from the rich man's kitchen. He then squeezed the sweets and the dry crust of bread from Lalo's kitchen which he had brought along - he drew blood from the one and from the other, drops of milk fell. The rich man's meal was the sweat and blood of the poor people. Bhago, the rich man became contrite, promising to spend the rest of his days serving the poor.

In the passage of time, the significance of sharing a meal is a cornerstone of Sikh hospitality. As travellers, the Gurus may have appreciated the value of a simple meal offered on their journeys which may have the beginnings of the free langar at the temples.

Bhagati, honest living, pure heart, giving to charity etc counts more and even more if you are Amritdhari.

So does Guru Gobind Singhs hukams have zero effect?????

When Guru Nanak the 10th came to be the rules were defined to the highest order of command.

So in other words dont listen to rehatnama but only from you take orders about what and how to eat?????

Since that happened in the 1st Nanak it will have to happen with all of the Jyoti Gurus????????

Manmat is a ocean flooding the land in this age of Kaljug.

Eat food with Amrit within. Amritdaris preparing and serving the meal retains the Amrit inside the food. All other food without Amrit are false and you should not eat it.

Waheguru, I like the Gurbani, however Pritam veer ji its a person who prepares the food with "NAAM" that tastes good and my beloved Pritam, Amrit which refers to "NAAM" pre 10th Master, so only NAAM thats gone in making the food will prevail, only FALSE food will be rejected.

    • Part of the problem is the hostilities between India and Pakistan. If the border were open, Amritsar would easily become a huge trading city. Secondly, the National Highways Authority of India is constructing a new 6-lane expressway from Kashmir, through Amritsar/Jalandhar/Ludhiana to Dehli which will be part of the Ludhiana-Delhi-Kolkatta Industrial Corridor.  Maps of the New Silk Road show Kolkata as a key part of the "road". If you send products to Iran, there are ground links onward to Europe.
    • Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources.     • You're confusing two different things: One is merely adding starch to a turban to get a certain feel to the fabric. The other is tying your turban once and taking it off like a hat. It is this that people have a problem with. What's wrong with it is that Rehit says to tie your turban afresh every time. If you ask, "Where is that written?", it's written in Bhai Nand Lal ji's Rehitnama. @ipledgeblue didn't just make it up. Umm, no, bro. We're not evangelical Christians like President George W Bush of the US claiming to "talk to God" who told him to invade Iraq. "Speaking to him directly" basically ends up being doing whatever you feel like with the excuse that Guru ji told you to do it. If you still want to take your turban off like a hat, feel free to do so, but don't claim that it's Rehit.
    • You don't need to wear either a pag or dumalla in the gym. You can simply wear a meter or 1.5m small turban (gol pagg or round turban). It doesn't come off.
    • The reason you don't see anything wrong with it is because like a fish in water, you grew up in Western culture and imbibed it fully. It's very difficult to for parents to inculcate traditional culture while in the West. The reason there is a problem is because a kiss between a man and wife is a sexual act (I didn't say it's coitus, but it's still sexual.) By contrast a kiss between a mother and a child, for example, is not sexual. And in our culture, sexual acts are not allowed in public. Goras do allow it. And that's also the reason they have gay pride parades now with people walking around naked with children in attendance and so forth.
