Yeah, I know about this very disgusting. The actual act took place like 15 years ago or so. But, the kidnapping is bringing up the case again. I don't actually go to this Gurdwara, rather Sikh Society of Manitoba. However, this gurdwara is not that far away, its' get a fairly good amount of Sangat. Its' just ticking me off to see that the Gurdwara's knowledgeable people would do disgusting crap like this. thats jus very disturbing. i happned to hve met few people at uni who have gone through that stuff(but they not desi)...and they need psych help to live a regular life.so many things go through their mind. it hurts to see people go though the pain/emotional and psychological distress. do google search and read abot how it affects people. it doesn't just affect one person but the peoplle around him/her as well. u wont say that>> move on, again after gettin more info on that.

thats what our people would wanna do though for most part of it instead of making others aware of these type of things. but what needs to be realizd iz that people who hve been abused come to understand they have been asbused after years. (watched a show few days ago which was covering this topic)

The large majority of men would NOT rape and molest! So stop making excuses for any individuals carrying out lustful perverted acts. If this specific situation is true than what the granthis have done is sickening and worse of all they have abused their roles as wazirs of the Guru. There needs a panthic investigation and the Canada sangat should select the Punj Singh to take this matter further in an open public forum.

If we make excuses that a certain Gursikh lifestyle (ghristi or celebate) can lead to this then we are undermining Sikhi. NO SIKH can rape or perform any extra martial affair, let alone abuse a child!!!

This is the exact attitude that allowed this to happen in the first place. I bet someone knew about this but just brushed it under the carpet so that they could just 'move on'. How many other boys or girls have been raped by them but are keeping quiet out of shame? The man who is standing up should be supported because he is brave.
