well its no harm helping to save a person's life.. personally for me i dont find anything wrong ... ur just trying to help... hena?

sikhi is all about loving and caring.. we do ask for sarbat da phalla etime we do ardaas rite?

so dont worry so much..

BUT if u still feel uve done sthin wrong.. den just go and do ardaas to guru maharaj and take a hukumnama or if u still feel what you have done is wrong den go and meet any 5 pyaarey and ask em what to do..

Went on first aid course about a week back. They have changed the system quite a bit, no more checking for pulse, if there is not normal breathing, just go straight for compressions.

One of the things that came up in the course was whether mouth to mouth should be done if its a stanger as they could have transmittable disease or open wound near mouth etc... What we were told was that you do not have to mouth to mouth, you can just do compressions if you wish. Just doing compressions is better than not doing anything at all.

If you are doing mouth to mouth, you could use something like a plastic bag and pierce small hole in to cover mouth so no contact is made but they also handed us these single use mouth to mouth things which stops contact with casualties mouth and you insert into the mouth and has a valve which means none of their air from them comes back to you. May be worth carrying one if you are concerned about it.

Say you're at a swimming pool...

A fifty year old man in flailling around. So you fling out a safety ring there (you know, that thing...forgot the name...), he climbs up but faints while u reel him in. He's just fainted as you pull him over to dry land, and isn't breathing.

The most excruciatingly stupid thing to ask then is "Is he Muslim? Has he eaten meat? Has he drunk?". Because if u give cpr, and then mouth to mouth, and manage to save his life, u would be, rest assured, in good faith with God. You would've saved a life.

Plus, if you're so worried about not eating meat, don't wear leather shoes either. Don't talk to your friends who eat meat (because, heaven knows, the particles might fly into your mouth). Don't own a pet. Don't even walk within 3 feet of an animal, lest it dies and slumps over on you.

There are many other more important things about your faith that you should inquire...
