Might Quit Sikhi

If you aren't living up to the best of your potential as a sikh after years and years, is it best to just find another religion where you can feel comfortable in? Many paths lead to the same goal, so does it really matter what religion you follow in the end?

sikhi is a path not a destination. no one achieves a 'best potential', a sikh always aims for more.

sounds like you're having trouble living to even the mediocrity of your potential, sikhi or no sikhi.

by excluding sikhi, the manner in which you're living won't be less mediocre. you simply won't aspire for more.

it's always best to find the highest religion.

stop running from yourself, you won't escape.

best of luck.

Don't do paath, live it. Don't do simran, live it. Reform your habits, your character, the way you deal with people.
sikhi is a path not a destination.

Some more excellant words!

Jee - don't give upp!!! I live in a goreh family and they don't know i still love sikhi and practise the best i can in my situations. I can't do paath in the day, i cant talk about God to anyone on a weekend while not at school, i can't grow kesh, wear 5 kakkaars, go gurmat class, practise punjabi, go gurdwara all because my family know and won't allow it. You have the jewel of his name - the naam of the amazingness of sikhi!!!! I would do anything to trade places with anyone amritdhari, or a sikh who even cuts kesh. You are so lucky to be put on this path - God is just testing your faith as he is testing mine. Stay strong! It's amazing that he keeps on giving (air, food, family) etc. even though we doubt him and do bad deeds. Im free to talk anytime jee to try and help you.

Stay strong!

Vaaheguroo Jee Kaa Khaalsaa Vaaheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!
