Thnx for the input. So as i understand it now:

"Only Guru ji knows himself what he means... "

or

"BrahmGyani Ki Gat BrahmGyani Jaane"

Thats true.

but as SOGGSJ ji added one more gurbani tuk:

"Evad Oochaa Hovay Koe, Tis Oochay Ko Jaane Soe"

I think this is said by Guru Nanak Dev ji, who said this in reference to God not brahmgyani.Again we can say that there is no difference between brahmgyani and God.So its all good.

Thnx a lot .

Well, i'm absolutely naive and dont know much about sikhi, so please pardon me if i say anything wrong here..

As fas as i know, our Sikhism is the most scientific religion in this world which has a valid reason for each thing.

And here i dont know, if we say...only guru sahib knows what he means....well guru sahib wrote nothing for himself, but for us to understand...

Even i dont know the reason why Guru Gobind Singh ji wrote like that, but there must be a reason behind that.

veer ji, you are abs. rite.....

I guess....scientific will itself implies....logical....or not?

so point here is not to decide..whether sikhi is more scientific or more logical...or both...

but point is...either it is scientific or logical or both....it has reason for everything.

Rest, Jap ji sahib is absolute example of scientific reasoning

Logic and religion are two seperate methodologies to get to the same answer. Thus they can complement each other if you realize that (and if you don't, they seem like enemies, don't they?)

Anyway, back to the original question. From what I know, Guru Nanak was born as a Guru, and as such retained his name in all of his bani. When the guruship was passed on, he physically passed his jot onto the next guru (who was not even close to a guru prior to that). At that point the next guru would have the Jot of Guru Nanak, which is why all Guru's with Bani signed with "Nanak". However, as the dasam granth states, Guru Gobind Singh was specifically called by paramathma to continue the guruship. Thus, he may be considered a guru from birth in his own right. That is why he signed differently than the previous guru.

This is my opinion, i seriously have no idea if it is true though!
