In India beef is not available due Hindu beliefs.

So Sikhs over there don’t eat it as not available.

You are wrong! Actually beef is available in almost every town, all you need to know is where to look and how you look for it. You can also get it at most of five star hotels, just be discreet. A lot of Hindus and Sikhs actually relish it in India. It is not openly available because of fanatic people but thats it.

We dont discriminate between cows and other animals. Cows shudnt have no special reservation when it comes to the meat eaters.

Only hindus would make that reservation, or people who regard the cow as holy. I dont see any diffrence between a cow or a chicken.

No Satguroo Nanak Dev Jee Maharaj did not equate a cow to a mother.

Personally i believe we shouldt eat meat fullstop particularly cow and goats because they give us milk. NOT because they are holy.

When I was giving up meat, Baba Bisant Singh Jee at newsoutgate gurughar explained to me that cows, goats and other cattle are higher life forms, therefore killing them carrys more paap. he explained even vegetables have atma (soul) but these are the lowest life forms so they carry least sins. i dont know how this fits in with gurbani.... but personally.... im v happy being veg
