my points arent just about her, they are about the panth and the divisions we impose. all those jumping up and down at this news, i wonder how many are amrtidhari? and of those, who are true gursikhs? none of us would like it if we went to the gurudwara or a sikh institution and we were stopped and told we didnt meet their standards, and were told to get lost. can you imagine that?

i've noticed on other threads that people say christians, muslims, jews etc are also 'sikhs'....................what the hell? why do we suck up to others but slap our own lot down. we need to rethink our attitude. a sikh is a student right? 'sikh' universities will be breeding grounds of sheer stupidity if we set entry requirements like this. surely the brightest pupils are the ones a sikh university should take. if you are suffering and dont know what is wrong do you want a doctor who became a doctor because of her facial hair or one who actually had a brain?

Education should be based on merit not what religion u follow

Agree 100% Why have they got a university just for Sikhs? Isnt this promoting segregation. The University should focus more on educating folk rather than the eyebrows of women.

In India minorities are allowed to have their own insituitions in which they can reserve

some seats for their communities Like 50 % or so other 50% seats are available for 

all the people

Then there is reservation for Defense, Freedom fighters childeren, NRI'S, OBC, Tribals, Rural etc. People who have a brain get to compete in the remaining % that comes around to paltry 45%. This girl couldn't do it, she had brains but there were more brainy people than her. So she thought she could use the back door, that was for no brainers. You see if you have brains that you WILL be in the 45% percent. okay!

its just like saying if every one else can do wrong stuff why cant sikhs ... do u agree with the above reservations are they right ... first of all there should be no reservation at all ... secondly if there should be reservation it should only be for poor nothing else should be considered ...

why a son of sikh just passes with 50% marks would be given a seat where a son of someone other religion guy with 80 % marks cant get ... its not even fair in eyes of humanity how can it be fair in eyes of guru ...

i say instead of having reservation for sikhs ... have reservation for kids of rikshapullers, gardeners who cant even feed his family properly ... give videya daan to them ... that would be a better definition for sikh institute ...

and to be frank corruption is also there ask any student from baba banda singh bhadar college or guru nanak engg college u will know how to get admission there under sikh quota ... all u need is jaan pehchan with an akali leader ... and ur Er XYZ singh

what a joke! where the hell does it say girls cant cut eyebrows? which century are we living in? even the medieval times were more forward thinkin, it seems some folks just want 2 go back 2 primitive times!

Where the hell does it say that you can't to go to a business meeting in a t-shirt or can't wear a undershirt to court or can't teach your elementary school class with an fcuk shirt on? How many heads were sacrificed for each of those traditions that you do understand and respect?

I would worry about primitive logic, not primitive times.
