only those who have true pyaar for Guru Gobind Singh ji and their Sikhi will be offended by the trimmed beard...

Guru ji sacrificed their father, their mother, their 4 beautiful sons just so we could keep Maharajs beautiful kes on our face. If you feel its alright to trim it or cut it, then I'm sorry, but in reality your doing nothing less than slapping Guru Gobind Singh ji in the face.

It is not the matter of hating a particular person or defining the love of a person towards our guru sahibs. Point is that we don't approve of having film showing the main role of sikh character with trimmed/fake beard. We don't like the current bollywood trend of making quick money on having sikh characters and that too with half cooked Sikhs description. Most of our young generation are fan of such actors and when they see them in such character roles these youngsters find em cool as media effect all in every society.

do u think saifs trimmed beard in love aaj kal was offensive? i personally didnt think so :S

You are entitled to have your own opinion but that doesn't make it a fact :). Is he playing the role of a Sikh? If yes, then do you know the definition of Sikh?

to me personally offensive no, anyone can have their way of presenting themselves, but "acting" as a "sikh" in a movie and not being a Sikh is when the bollywood films are trying to portray a Sikh wronglt and purposely, if they cant properly portray a Sikh with secular actors then an actual SIkh should be hired or at least look like an actual Sikh.

Last time I went to the Gurdwara I noticed there is a trend amongst males that go to the Gurdwara to try to look "kewl" and try to portray the singh is king tardo and there actually is now a low percentage of people doing this rathern than a number of lets say 5 -6 people doing this. To me they look like plastic clowns wearing a turban (but thats just my opinion)

Dont be a clown that culturally wears a turban and shaves beard. If you already can look like that and have employment then stop shaving everyday to maintain that tiny beard stubble to look "kewl", because its like wearing two different looking shoes and trying to not look tardo.
