Everything is included in the mentality. In the end greed of paisa/maya is what drives people to such unethical farming practices. Whether it be farming of animals or crops, it's the same and has detrimental effects on the ecosystem. This extends even to water like someone mentioned in another thread.

Making allegations on someone who is trying to make a point that the industry is unethical and that people who eat meat should see what they eat is completely wrong. If that's what making points is, then sure, why not? The truth is someone will make points and if you throw them down for not making another good point what do you achieve?

Singhstah, if you had put this video up as a video to help introduce compassion in farming you would have a good point. putting it up to try and make out meat eaters as having no compassion just shows you to be a very stunted individual who should not be a moderator of any forum.

No he was trying to say that the cruelty meted out to those animals in the video, were solely down to eating meat, but this is a lie. singhstah put it up simply to try and make it look like point scoring exercise over non-veggies, by claiming that meat-eaters are devoid of compassion. complete rubbish and coming from a moderator as well.

We can't bury our heads in the sand and hide from the truth of current day farming.

You don't have to answer this question, but, regardless of whether you eat meat, or not, what feelings do you get when you watch the above video? To back up your point, the feelings you get will not be any different from anyone else, I'm guessing?

Please go to your local Gurughar and sit in the lotus feet of Guru Sahib Ji and genuinely ask yourself, and Guru Sahib whether killing animals and killing vegetables amounts to the same thing. Please do this with utmost innocence and sincerity, and keep it between Guru Sahib and yourself. If after that one-to-one chat with the most Komal Guru Sahib you still find absolutely no difference, in principle and in practice, between the two then please carry on eating it. On the other hand if you get the slightest feeling of uneasiness while talking to Guru Sahib about this, then please do take time out to reflect and contemplate on your dietary preferences.

Its brutal how animals are handled when they are farmed for their meat. That point about how dogs are treated and other animals that humans consume is so true. The people that have to do this job of slaughtering the animal have probably committed huge paapps in the past to get this job. One mans paap is another mans dinner. The cycle of birth and death continues.

You right! I'm not sure which one is better, the one that kills the animal, or the one that eats the animal. Because isn't the one that kills the animal at least witnessing the truth? And isn't he just killing the animals because the animal eater pays him to kill the animal (like somebody pays a contract killer/hitman??). I mean, if nobody paid the animal killer wouldn't he just stop? If the supply stops, the killing stops

I think this video represent how humans have become the animals and we have made this planet into a trash bin and we just keep filling it with more cr*p. This whole thing about being efficient (which equals greed) is going to come and bite us right in the butt.

Because the title of the topic says "meat, egg and seafoods eaters watch this", making it aimed at those people.

It would have been more appropriate to have added milk drinkers to this list as well, but singhstah for reasons of his own, decided to omit this. i know why he did it, and so does he.

There is a difference between eating meat and animal cruelty. And this isnt just to farm animals, but all animals, domestic and wild animals. Just because one is not vegetarian, it doesnt mean that they revel in cruelty to animals. It is nothing but a shallow attempt to portray meat eaters as devoid of any sentiment.
